I was out of town and I MISSED IT!! There hasn't been much I wanted lately, but I missed the cotton candy maker! SO bummed!

As a mom who has bought a few scooters, the quality of the Razor brand is MUCH better. You won't end up saving much buying this one, in all likelihood, as you will have to replace it sooner anyway. TRU often runs a good price on the Razor scooters if you keep your eyes open for them. They had them pretty cheap this summer a few times. Amazon often runs them on their holiday special, too. I DID get a Razor scooter trick version (they don't sell it anymore) a few years ago where the back wheel is about to turn 360 degrees. DS the elder LOVES it, but it is still Razor.

anyone know if the inventory checker was ever updated/replaced? I never was able to get it to work for Walmart, and it is still taking you to the home page of Target.

The sheets are really nice. They had the king size ones on sale here months ago because they only sell CA King here and got them by mistake. Love them!

Well, sometimes I have to go to more than one store. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but when I am lucky, I hit one particular store that usually has a lot left. I get there at opening and take 2 carts back there to load up. They are usually gone after an hour at any store here.

Yep. Can't really blame them, but they are moving more of their regular office supplies to the BTS sections now and then moving them back at the end. I always thought it was foolish on their part to do otherwise. But I sure will miss the markdown tape! I imagine we'll see the same for the tape at Christmas. Now my next big purchase will be napkins after Halloween. Last year I managed to get 24 packs. that seems to be exactly what I need to get through the entire year. I have 6 left in my basement from last year. My kids have gotten used to using Halloween all year.

If you find the lava lamps, you will want to check to make sure it works. DS saved his money and bought one for himself last year. We went through 3 before getting a good one. One had the cap on wrong, so it didn't sit right. One didn't turn on.

Our backpacks went 70% here. Got a purple one for myself to replace the hideous brown plaid one I got 90% off a couple of years ago. Saw the Liv dolls and a few other toys marked down.

Saw paper at 70%, backpacks 50%. Not much left though. Most of it pulled.

I don't think it always was, I seem to remember otherwise, but the last few years it has been stickered.

our stores also had markdown teams working BTS. Lots marked, though. They have already pulled most, if not all, of the regular stuff out and put it in the backroom. They were pulling boxes and boxes of paper and other stuff out to get it marked down and out the door. One store where I know the guy who manages seasonal said he was getting it ready for Halloween.

Yes, Target does this, though not that much. If a particular store sells a lot more at a higher clearance price, they will sometimes trans-ship it to that store. A lot of the school supplies are items they carry year round. That stuff will get restocked as regular merchandise. They may have been moving it to the back to make space for the college stuff or be prepping for Halloween. Hard to say. They've become a lot less predictable.

Interesting that someone published this so recently, but I had to laugh. Much of that is covered in the first post here. "ask an associate" at your local store about the markdown schedule! Yeah, that will work! Most don't know themselves, and if they do, they won't say. And Target messes with periodically, as we all know. And the birthday club thing has been gone for ages. The link is to the Photo Studio Birthday Club. Unless they've started handing out coupons for the store (they are just sub-leasing from Target and pay Target a fee, so that is doubtful).

It is often a few weeks after school starts. Some schools don't hand out lists till after school starts. Around here some schools started last week, but others don't start till after Labor Day. Used to be they all started after Labor Day and school supplies didn't go down till 3rd week of September. I did notice that lunch boxes were 30% off today. Didn't have time too look too much as I was just getting milk since we just came back from a few days vacation. School stuff will probably start going on sale hit or miss over the next few weeks.

I saw someone else with that booklet. Just makes me crazy that they do that without sending them to everyone. If you call corp or email, they'll tell you they are sent out somewhat randomly. Occasionally I get them in the name of some previous resident here at my house. Did not get that one, though. There was also a Leapfrog coupon on Coupons.com last month.

Ah dang! Thursday is my mom's "go to town" day (she lives in Dover). She wants a Kindle and doesn't go to Target much because she says she always misses the good deals there. I'm hoping to help her nail the 90% off Back to School when it hits so she can buy a whole bunch of backpacks. She is in charge of the food program for that area and the same group does school supplies for needy kids. She gets frustrated that people spend full price on the stuff instead of bargain shopping it.

Yes. I noticed this as well. I went to 9 (yes, 9) stores today. I had the day off and decided to do the trail! I found some goodies, but it really was very hit or miss from store to store. Legos in particular were different from store to store. The Dinos were only clearance at one or two stores, and were, sadly, all gone there. Only one of the stores didn't go today. I talked to the team, and they were a day behind, so they will do it tomorrow. Too bad it is too far to go back....

Ah! I thought you said NOT MARKED. That was what I thought was so weird. I don't find it odd that they marked some stores and not others.

That's really odd. I was at 3 SoCal stores just now and none were 70%. I did scan.

No idea where you are, but I am in CA and there are no 25% markdowns. The toys are mostly 30% - 50% now pretty much across the entire LA area and everywhere else in CA that have reported, except you. We are talking toys only right now. The only exception will likely be Legos, most of which have only been going to 50% in most stores the last few cycles. Where are you, anyway?

It is helpful, but it doesn't work with everything, only items they also sell online. Also, be aware that they only update the system every 48 hours, so if it shows fewer than 10 of something, especially clearance, don't count on accuracy. If you have a smart phone, you can also just download the Target app and use it.
