  1. The general rule is that you are only able to get the current price unless you happen to live in one of the states that allows you to return at the purchase price.
  2. Yeah, right? I would certainly have hit a few Starbucks to get extra catalogs, but figured I didn't need to. Stupid of them.
  3. According to the laughably named "Guest Services" 800 number folks at Target, there will be no toy coupons available outside the actual toy catalog. The toy catalogs were only distributed randomly by mail and in yesterday's paper. So if you didn't get it, you are SOL. Is Target trying to tick off their customers? Sure as heck seems like it.
  4. my awesome deal of the day. 50% off. Veuve Cliquot $24.98 http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/lsmythLPS/IMG_20141009_151700729.jpg
  5. They were marking a bunch of Men's clothing today. That's a day early, so they may not have a lot of other stuff, but it is something.
  6. I think that they are probably going to keep them in stock around here. I wanted to get one too, but hubby put the kabosh on it since he didn't want to deal with storing it, etc.
  7. remaining toys marked down today at one store. noticed a lot of jewelry on initial markdown.
  8. Not so weird as you might think. They do this big clearance in July/August to make space for what they will sell at Christmas. All the manufacturers ship new product starting in this same time frame, and the stores do the clearance to make space for higher yielding products. In fact, they often clearance stuff in July and bring it back in January after Christmas. Smaller stores have even less precious shelf space, so they will have to sacrifice some products that other stores are able to keep the whole season and through to the next without the break. I noticed they clearanced some Spy Gear at several of the smaller stores that wasn't clearanced at the larger ones. Likewise the Hexbug stuff. Some of the items had to go. Both of those lines usually have Target Exclusive holiday sets that they bring in and charge a premium for. So, they get rid of the lower margin items. It is an interesting process. Sometimes I wonder about the things they sacrifice. Doesn't always seem sensible.
  9. Not a lot out there. Very, very few Legos left. Seems like they were salvaged at some stores and went 70 at others. Nerf Rebelle, some Nano Blocks, Mega Bloks Halo. Some stores had a variety of Spy Gear marked down. Found the giant Hexbugs at one store only (out of 8), lots of Imaginext, some Monster High (though few actual dolls), and lots of games. Very picked over everywhere, though I still managed to spend some money. :-)
  10. Toys went today at my store that usually goes on Wednesday. Not a lot this year, but found a few things.
  11. They often mark stuff like that manually because they can sell more of it at the lower % off. It will probably sell out at 50% in a lot of places, and they are probably selling more at 30% on the manual markdown schedule since it stays at that price longer. The other stuff is only a few days at each % off, usually.
  12. Toy clearance started a few weeks ago. There are a lot of items marked 30-50% already. And they marked a few things 70% today.
  13. I was at a few stores today. Had to get back in there since I was going through withdrawal after a 10 day vacation. Most of the food was gone at our local stores. They'd already reset and there was nothing left. But I did find some wine and a few goodies at Baldwin Park. Patio is all over the place. I found lots of solar lights 50% and citrus/avocado fertilizer 50% off. Needed that for the citrus trees, so that is good. Saw lots of Patio 50% off, and if live around here, Baldwin Park had the most furniture at that %. They had umbrellas at 70%. Starting to see toy markdowns too. Even some at 50% already.
  14. They've started marking down some of the summer stuff in seasonal. Not much, but they should start doing more since it is almost time for them to set Back to School. Hard as that is to believe.
  15. Saw them mark the Westinghouse ones down on Monday. But that is all they have left here. Everything else is gone except floor models.
  16. Lots of food on clearance. Shelved and frozen. Varies from store to store.
  17. Well, I'll be darned...1 of my 2 stores did indeed go 90% today. And, yes, it just went 70% yesterday. Signs were still 70%. For those around me, it is the 2 story store in Pasadena, and they had the most left. Makes it tempting for me to drive out to La Verne & San Dimas to check, but I hate to waste the gas. This store has a lot of tablecloths and such. candy was still 50%.
  18. Since they just marked down to 70% yesterday at most places, I would be shocked to see it 90% before Monday. They like to give it the weekend to clear out most of it first.
  19. Check back. Sometimes they pull it all to the back room and restock it to an endcap a day or two later.
