15% off most of the bulk stuff this morning. As is often the case, if they normally carry it, it doesn't seem to be going on sale, but lots of good stuff nonetheless. In addition to the Roomba, which I picked up for my mom, they had those buffet servers 30% off.

A handful of new toys have been clearanced. Bakugan (though not all stores did it this week) because the new season stuff comes out in March/April. Some Cars Toon Mega cars had been clearance from $7.99 to $5.98 or $3.98 depending on the store. Now they are back to full price but the new price is $4.99. ALso saw football action figures marked down.

It is the cheapest I've seen them this year. In the past I've gotten them as post Christmas red box things. I've also found them post Christmas for about $1 at Walgreens. And once in the dollar spot for $.50. :-)

are you sure they were 75%? pretty sure they were $5.99/$6.99 originally and they are marked 50% right now. I've kept an eye on them because I only buy them cheap. They don't last very long for my kids. They either get lost or broken too readily...But I have been waiting for them to get to $1.48 to buy.

Each Walmart store does it on their own. There is not standard clearance like Target. Our local store will let stuff sit for months and months. The one in the next town over marks it down within a few weeks from start to end.

That's great! I asked a friend to stop by the SD store to see if they still had any sleeping bags (around 8:30am yesterday). I didn't get a call, so I guess not. Glad I bought it at 50%. I am going to return that same stove since I found the Coleman one here. I had never seen it before that day. Notice it on the endcap with a tag. It was gone from the endcap when I came back, but I found it between two regular price onces. I reckon someone was disappointed when they came back to get it. :)

I was at Glendale when they were marking stuff down. I had to go to the Lego store. :-) Then I went to my regular Pasadena stores and found the rest at the older store in Pasadena.

Oh, sure, you can call, but they are not allowed to hold clearance, and if they have only one or two, you have just alerted them to the fact that it is there and cheap.

The problem is that even if you see they have them using online checking, they may be gone. they only update the system every 48 hours, and they only keep a few of each tent on hand at any one store anyway. Not sure where you are in SoCal, but 3 days ago the store with the most stuff left was San Dimas in the SG Valley. Actually I've been to these stores in the last 3 days: La Verne, San Dimas, Azusa, West Covina, Baldwin Park, Rosemead, Pasadena, Pasadena East, Duarte, Glendale & Eagle Rock. Of those stores, San Dimas was the only store with much left.

You need to find out who the main store manager is, which is difficult at most Targets, but if you ask, you can usually find out, or at least find out who the top manager is who is working, and report the person or persons doing it. Target employees can and have been fired for doing that. If you know it is happening and you can point out specific people, and report it on each occasion, they will get caught. Last year one of my stores fired 4 people off the markdown team for marking down DVD players in the back that never saw the sales floor.

Some stores ship it out to other stores which have better luck selling at a higher price. Sometimes, though, it just gets boxed for them to be able to reset, gets marked down in the back, and then reappears. At the time of toy clearance, one of my stores had 6 pallets in the back that they had to mark and bring out.

Hanes mens sweatpants 75% off - $1.62! not marked on the tag. Tag showed 50% off, but someone else had scanned it and mentioned it.

Thanks! I was able to get the 6 person Kelty tent 75% in the summer. Too bad it is too late for me to buy the 4 person one and return it. Paid full price for that one. I'll keep looking at the stoves and sleeping bags.

I think you are the gal I met last week! Hey, did you happen to notice any of the camping stuff out there? I didn't want to make the drive if there was no hope.

I saw a couple of guys with about 6 Axe sets in their cart, so I think you are right.

Where are you? You don't have any location info in your profile. I am still hoping for the sleeping bag to go lower. There are only a couple of stores with one or two. No stores around here seem to have any stoves left at all. Glad I picked it up at 50. Interesting note on the Legos. Either they went 75% and sold out immediately (on the large sets) or they salvaged them today at one of our stores. They still had several last night. I could not get there earlier in the day than 3:30 and all clearance Legos but 1 small set were gone. it still rang up 50%. It is possible someone came and paid the 50% price, but is seems unlikely they'd have left that lone set. I didn't get to ask the markdown team. That particular store had gone 50% a week earlier than all the rest on those Legos.

They mark something everyday monday through friday. but a particular item doesn't get marked except every 2 weeks, generally. you can read through the first post on the forum to understand the process.

They were marking the department, but the Kelty stuff did not move. I asked and they said they had scanned it and it was the same. I've been watching the adult sleeping bag and it has only been at 30%. Finally found one store had it at 50% and got it today. Maybe I'll find it again later. Got the Target brand camp stove 50% last week.
