It only works if they sell the item online, I think. -

I'm in Pasadena. I get to the stores from North Hollywood all the way over to Rancho Cucamonga at different times. -
I despise Walmart, but there are a handful of things I can only get there (unless I want to pay a fortune elsewhere), like DH's shampoo. I usually end up there when I am in the "last resort" territory of a search. DS needed a rolling backpack (5th grade has to carry all their 10 lbs of books all day!) and the ones we found weren't big enough to hold everything (unless they were $100!), so I ended up there Thursday. I literally stood in line for 30 minutes to checkout. It was nuts. I won't be back for awhile. I can tell you that!

I haven't tried it, but if they refuse to honor it, I'd raise Caine. Ask for them to call the store manager. If you still don't get anywhere, call their 800 number for customer service and they'll get some involuntary training on the new policy. Ticks me off when companies roll out these new programs then don't honor them or don't train their employees. Our Walmarts are all pretty bad, so I would expect problems.

In line at Walmart today (for 30 minutes, I hate Walmart) I saw the ad multiple times, and it claims you do not need the ad and they will match club prices.

Sorry. I didn't. One of our local stores marked those half back in June of all things. Just the black ones, and I got some then. -

They marked the summer grilling & garden stuff to 50%, skipping 30% also, so maybe it is a new trend to speed the transition. That'd be nice. :-) They were resetting videos here also. New backers and a new look. -

Usually some go with the pools and pool toys. They generally keep some year round full price. -

More likely you are in one of those test markets. I shop 10-12 Targets on a regular basis, and they just don't go lower than 75% other than for seasonal with extremely rare exceptions. The folks who have reported finding 90% off have usually been in areas where there are few stores (smaller cities & states or remote areas). The point being that if you want an item, don't ever count on it going below 75%. It will more likely be salvaged than go lower than that. When you find something with a higher % off, you are simply lucky. -

Nope. Only seasonal goes below 75% with the rare exception of test marketing. A few stores have been testing higher discounts, but it is extremely unlikely. -

Highly variable. Some stores do want to keep the ad, but only a few. Most all now want to do it in guest services, so on the rare occasion I do a price match (probably haven't since last fall), I take it there at the outset. -

Most of the office stores have them on sale, but I doubt the ones at Target will. I think some were clearanced a few weeks back, but even when they do go clearance, they often sell out fast. -

They are normally $2.99. They were clearance to 75% about a week or two before the big day. I got several for $.74 each. -

This has happened for years. There is a bit more of it this year than in some years past, but it isn't a truly new phenomenon. Last year I got a bunch of those R2D2 RC toys 75% off at some stores, but others had it full price. I also got some Harry Potter Legos last year for 75% off at one store, but others kept them full price. Be on the lookout for items that are mispriced on the shelf tags, too. When they reset, they tend to have a few things that get brought back after having been clearanced in the past that are 75% off because they don't get updated. -

They don't do clearance markdowns on weekends. Toys only get marked on Wed/Thurs (okay, sometimes they are off, but that is because they get ahead or behind on their schedule), so you won't see a further change from yesterday. If you are asking about price adjusting clearance, then no. They do not price adjust for clearance at all. Only regular merchandise that goes on sale. You have to rebuy it at the lower price and return on the old receipt. And you need the old receipt unless you pay by a different credit card for the 2 items. If you buy both items on the same card and use credit card lookup, they'll find the lower price, not the higher. -

The HP Lego sets were only on sale in some stores. Locally we only had the Quidditch set & Dobby's Escape on clearance. All the others remain regular price. If I find one store has them clearance and one store keeps them regular price, I have been known to use cash to buy a couple of the set I want at full price, and return them next day to the clearance store and then get them when they make it to the floor. It doesn't always work out, but often does... -

They might still get cheaper rent there. Sometimes they get a bargain. DZ here too. Been a long time....my chapter isn't there anymore (small school and membership was never huge), but it was a blast back then. :-) -

I'd have grabbed it right back. If it isn't in a cart with his hand on the cart, it isn't his. That's ridiculous. I bought a ton, including a some stuff I may resell, but that kind of behavior is out of line. We didn't have the usual crowds at the stores I hit today. Possibly because it was more spread out in the department and wasn't so obvious as past years. It was calmer. I was telling various people about different items I knew were marked that looked like they went with what they had in their carts. I almost skipped the San Dimas store because I did not see much there the other day, and someone else told me there wasn't anything there -- A lady told me as I was walking out of Azusa when she and her daughter pointed at my overloaded cart and said, that was us at the La Verne store a little while ago. Anyway, turned out that SD just hadn't started their markdowns. I went to LV first to see what was left, and found nothing. But I went to SD as they were marking and got some Halo Mega Bloks and a few Legos and stuff. They had 10 Boba Fett helmets! I kept seeing those flying off the shelves at the earlier two stores, but I left them and told a couple of people. Overall a good day with a fair amount of good stuff. Got a Mindflex for the kiddos, so they'll try that out tomorrow. Bummed that the Lego City Airplane was only 50% off everywhere here. Got a few Cars Duplo 75% off, but they were full price everywhere else. Missed all the Star Wars & Harry Potter Legos, but still happy. Given that I had to go to the doctor and they ran my appointment an hour late, I was glad to get anything! -

Not all Targets have the same pricing. If they are in an upscale neighborhood, or have higher rent for a location (like a big mall or a new development), they tend to be higher. Curious what the DZ stands for? The sorority, maybe? -

Could be they pulled everything to the back to reset. Still worth a check if there is anything you are after. They were pulling a bunch of stuff out of boxes to stock the clearance today at the store that reset. Yep. The fact that they are resetting at one of the local stores says they are ready to get new stuff out, and they need to get the clearance gone. So, yes, it will be this week. I'd be utterly shocked otherwise. -

It varies wildly from store to store. I was at 6 stores yesterday. Most don't have a lot of toys left. Most are not fully consolidated, but they were starting to put everything on end caps and in sporting goods. Today, one of my stores had moved everything out of the main aisles overnight, reset a couple of the aisles, and started moving even more out of the back room to consolidate. Those that have a lot in their backroom will continue to bring it out even after the big markdown, so be sure to keep checking.
