  1. Layaway? Seriously? I thought all the stores had done away with layaway. I know Walmart did a few years ago.
  2. I think they have a store locater on their website.
  3. ours too! I have been wanting to get some items but they haven't budged on price for 2 months!!!!
  4. they are part of electronics, so they go down on mondays. usually every two weeks. you might want to read the very first post in the discussion.
  5. do you really think that Krispy Kreme's primary customers are actually concerned about trans fat? Personally I don't care for their donuts (I much prefer a little Chinese donut shop nearby), but the snowglobe is cute.
  6. In my ongoing quest to get everyone to simply update their profiles with their location so we can stop asking this question, I'll say it again: It sure is helpful if you at least indicate your state or county if not your city in the profile. To update your profile, just click on Control Panel above and then Edit Profile.

  8. While generally true, that is clearly not always true. Numerous participants to this forum have had items get marked when there were none on the sales floor. This generally happens because they simply scan their markdown sheet or the shelf tag. While it doesn't always happen, it seems to about 75% of the time in our area. You can almost always have every single piece hidden or sold out, and the markdown will still happen, even for non-seasonal merchandise. Oh, and a trick to deal with this is to hide 2 of the items if you only want one. If they don't mark them down, take one and put it somewhere in the area where they are next to do the markdowns. For example, if you have some of the toddler bed sheet sets hidden and they didn't get marked, take the spare and put it on the top shelf in the back of the clearance end cap in the domestics area where the markdown team will find it, but it probably won't sell beforehand. Doesn't always work as sometimes the item is found by someone who wants it first, but it usually does. Or just walk up to someone who is doing markdowns and say, "hey, I found this in (insert a possible spot) and it won't scan (make sure there is no red tag on it first), can you tell me the price?" That usually yields a red sticker for you. :)
  9. that happens most often when the item isn't sold online as well as in the store. Sometimes, if you think it should be in both places, it is worth a trip to Amazon.com to get the ASIN. Find the exact item on Amazon, copy the ASIN number, and enter it instead of the DPCI number. Sometimes it won't recognize either, though.
  10. I had a similar experience when I had some dental work done in September. I took the prescriptions to Target and used CVS coupons. I got $100 in gift cards, and paid a total of $17 in copays for 4 prescriptions. I just used those GCs to buy some groceries yesterday since I went over budget last week.
  11. Yes. I had to fast before the doctor one day about a week ago, and went in to CVS next door to get something to eat afterwards just to hold me till lunch. I got 4 coupons printed on my receipt, and they expire sometime in December!
  12. My program is my DH. He just rolls his eyes and asks me where I think I am going to store item X in our tiny little house. I have finally given in and am able to pass up that stuff. I really wanted one of those soft serve dealies but I knew what would happen if I brought it home...oh well
  13. If you are getting a new CVS, I would be shocked if they didn't have a table display set up with the coupons. They moved into our area like gangbusters last year (they opened at least 10 new stores within 5 miles of me that I can think of), and they have been handing out those coupons like candy. I don't like CVS personally because their prices are too high in general, and I don't have the energy to try to get all their "deals" using their cards. Instead I just use their coupons to transfer my prescription to and from all the stores who price match. I have to agree that I despise Rite Aid. I only go there when I need to move a prescription and don't have any other place that will take the coupons I have. I used to go back and forth from Target to Ralphs (Kroger) every month until Target stopped price matching on the coupons. Oh well, I know that Albertsons does it. Not sure about Safeway. Walmart did at one point, but I would have to check. Just call around and find out who does and then clip ever transfer/new prescription coupon you come across. I hold them in case I need them. During the fall and winter my kids end up getting multiple sinus infections, so we always seem to need them!
  14. unless your store is different than ours, yes. they started doing it a few months ago here. I had been using them to do it at Target, but they stopped price matching last weekend.
  15. unless your store is different than ours, yes. they started doing it a few months ago here.
  16. If you have multiple coupons, you ought to be able to use them. Here in Southern California, they have been flooding us with new/transfer coupons. They were putting 4-8 per week in the paper for a while. I don't actually shop there much and ran in to pick up a small item, and they printed out 4 more on my receipt! I use their coupons to transfer coupons to Ralphs (Kroger) and other stores that price match.
  17. That is SO crazy! I hate it when they are SO out of sync from store to store! All our local stores have done the markdown and the stuff is long gone. On the other hand, the also pulled it off the shelves completely for about a month beforehand. I thought that was weird in itself. Then they showed up again and were marked 30% off. They went straight to 75% from there.
  18. It was in a center aisle display at our local store.
  19. Yes, I said that too. I don't know if Brad reads this message board much, but it would be nice to get a nice little piece on the juice boxes added somewhere. They are always 10 packs, but never the OJ. They are usually Apple, Grape or Punch. They usually stock 15 packs and they have a big 15 on the front. These don't say 15 or 10, so they stand out somewhat when you look. They are sometimes in behind the other packs, too. But they show up randomly, and you have to check every time you go if you hope to find them. I find them about once a month, but sometimes more or less often.
  20. I reported that they went 75% a week ago monday.
  21. They are more expensive for some items, though I wouldn't say VERY. However, they carry a depth of product that you can't always find elsewhere. They also carry a lot of stuff that is no longer available in other stores. And, if you take advantage of all the specials that they run, you can often come out better off. Especially if you do things like respond to their surveys and stuff. But it ALWAYS pays to shop around!
  22. If your store is the Gainesville, Augusta or Alpharetta store, then that is because the store is going out of business.
  23. This is a duplicate posting: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=87705
  24. I'm going today to do an exchange. Hopefully they'll have them!
  25. They still have a wide selection of bulbs at our store, but they are only 30% off! I am hoping to get them 75% and give them as gifts too. Plenty of time to chill them before giving.
