Toys are done manually on the regular rotation. They are generally done on Wednesdays, but if a team at a store is behind, then it will be a day or even two days later. In August we had 2 or 3 local stores do theirs a day after the others, and one store was a full week behind. The Christmas clearance is NOT done manually, but by computer from the corporate offices.

Usually they do it early in the morning. That was my first experience having it later in the day. For Holiday stuff, that is. The regular markdowns start at about 4 in the morning and go till about 2 in the afternoon.

I haven't seen him, nor have I been able to find that Airport Lego set at 50% yet. I finally found a couple, but they were just 30%. I think it depends on how many they have left as a guess.

Oh, I know. I always go first thing after dropping DS at school, and I hate having to check back on days I expect a drop. I don't like missing things!!

yes, most are gone at our stores. Calling is all well and good, but they don't know a lot of the time. The holiday markdowns are not done by the markdown team. They are done at Corporate through the computer. Last year it happened while I was in a store. I had scanned an item when I picked it up. It was 50%. I was walking around and couldn't remember exactly how much it was, so I scanned again,and it was 75% off. This happened within 10 minutes. I left that store (around 11 am) and went to another store, but it hadn't come through yet, and it was about 30 minutes before it happened there. I had to tell them employees when it happened. They were unaware.

Well, around here it is slim pickins. One of our stores has already started re-setting for the January toys, so you know they don't have much left. I imagine it will vary somewhat where there are cases like yours.

We were talking specifically about the Holiday merchandise though. And that seems to be spotty. Some stores do not follow policy (lucky customers there) which is to only refund the current clearance price Holiday merchandise.

It means they don't sell it online, or if they do, they use a different DPCI.

Are the ones you are seeing blue & white ones - a little nicer quality? The ones I went for, and I think the other poster was talking about were the ones by Glad. The napkins were 200 count and in the everyday napkin size packages. I wanted to get some of the coffee cups in the blue & white series, but I missed those. I was especially bummed because I told a Target employee that I know about the soft soap, and when she went to get it, she found the last pack of the cups and I had missed them!

I think Saturday at the earliest. Maybe Sunday.

Oh well, if anyone happens to see these at a Target and can get the DPCI, that would be SO helpful! I have had a lot of success getting things brought out early when I can get that number! If you don't know what I am talking about, you will see it as a nine digit number on your receipt or on the shelf tag with the item price.

Do you have the DPCI? I am looking for a replacement one for ours that broke down. I bought it for $25 on clearance too, and it only lasted a year, but I want to try again.

some stores are clearancing these and others aren't. seems hit or miss. same with the geotrax stuff.

No. I think the body wash was Irish Spring, and the deodorant might have been Gillette.

I went back this morning and found Soft Soap pumps in a 3 pack and large, clear refills for 50% off! The refills are 80 oz and have a Christmasy design and say 25% more or something like that. They were $2.50 on sale. They also had some men's deodorant 2 packs & some men's body wash. I didn't check them because they were the wrong brand, but it was all 50%.

Oh, I forgot to mention that those aisles of Christmas Decor were also at 50% yesterday despite the 30% signs. I don't know if anyone skipped them. They are the ones that are near the kitchen stuff usually. I was looking for a new basket for our newspapers to collect in before going to the recycle bin. These below were all 50% off. Got the one on the right for $14.99. They went FAST! I walked up just as the end of the line of people who had waited for them to open entered, grabbed a cart, and went straight for them. I got a cart full, and then did the rest of my shopping. Swung up by there again to make one last pass before checking out and they were completely gone. Another shopper asked me where I had gotten them, and I pointed to the empty endcap. The second store I hit still had a handful of boxes of the bags and plastic wrap, but by the time I got to the other 2 stores I visited yesterday, all the paper products were gone.

So they DID have Christmas trash bags? I must have missed them then! Just and FYI, last year the Christmas Tree bags did not clear out with regular Christmas stuff. It went MUCH longer along with the other Christmas specific storage stuff. Not the big tubs, but the ones with dividers for bulbs and wrapping paper and stuff. Those were all end of January or First of February. I kept watching the bags and finally stashed one to get it. I am also holding out to the end for paper and ribbons. We only need a couple of additional rolls, but I am not paying any more than necessary!
