Best Buy Sunday Ad Correction (9/23-9/29)
Princess7915 replied to popweaverhdtv's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Even though BB isn't going to honor the price that they printed I wonder if you could Price Match the deal somewhere!? -
I went to order a few things and all were "ineligible" for the codes.

We've been doing some research on what brand to buy. We were looking at Vizio for awhile but decided not to. Most people "in the know" who work at big screen stores (not best buy etc.) will tell you that Vizio isn't terrible quality for the money but all in all they are made pretty cheap and won't last. You're picture quality is going to be pretty lousy in about a year. So we've decided to wait a little longer a until we're ready to pluck down the big $$ for a bravio or an aquos

I had my napkins printed from sombody on ebay. I picked my colors, she had a few fonts and little designes to choose from. They are so expensive in all the "wedding" places, but they were really inexpensive in ebay and looked perfect! I also worked for a florist when I got married and bought all my flowers wholesale and did all my floral work myself the 3 days before the wedding. Saved about $3,500 but I don't recommend it! I was so tired by the day of the wedding I didn't care what anything looked like anymore!

Am I the only one that doesn't go out on Black Friday?
Princess7915 replied to LoveNcMountains's topic in 2007
Most people I ask if they go Black Friday Shopping look at me as if I've just escaped from a psyc ward...but others...they get it. My husband was converted to "the dark side" last year. I think he just couldn't stand the curiosity anymore of how my mother and I could be so crazy to actually enjoy what this whole Black Friday thing is about. So far he has remained non committal about this year's trip but it is promising that he has requested the day off work. To all of those who have never ventured into Black Friday Shopping territory, find yourself and experienced shopping buddy--never go alone your first time, it's too dangerous out there. At least once in your life you can say you joined the millions of crazy people - you may become one of us!!! -
Last year was probably about 200 but I didnt get that much shopping done. Really disappointed in the deals. If I can get 60 % of my chrismas shopping done on BF I am a happy camper!! I never really have a $$ in mind, it just takes what it takes to get it done with out going overboard. The better the sales, the happier I am and DH as well!!

I shop for others as in I am buying holiday gifts but I do not purchase items for people who do not go out for themselves. No pain, no gain.

As long as it takes! Usually mid afternoon.

Every year I wish I could get away from taking my purse with me but I can't manage to break away from "needing it." I never take more than $20 in cash because everyone pretty much takes a card now except for a few little vendors in the mall. But I only carry the necessities in my purse into the stores and leave all the extras in the car. I'm a jeans and tee shirt girl. Some years it's not even cold enough here in Virginia Beach that you need more than a light jacket - we dont' camp out anywhere so we're only outside for a little bit before a store opens!
-
Luckily, I have no injuries to report myself but I cannot wait to see some of the stories that I know will pop up on this thread!
-
I'll probably hit Sam's club and a few of the stores at the mall. We were at our mall's "big" stores before the majority opened and we were on too tight of a time schedule to just browse around.

It's an Ebay commercial. I guess they are trying to up their sales for the holiday season. I hope some of the would-be shoppers are fooled by their marketing scheme. I think it's too funny - do they not realize how dumb the very though of this is? Our sleep-in day is Nov.25

There hasn't been anything that I "need" ever on BF. I go for the sport of it!

I live in Virgina Beach Va. We're going to drown over the next few days! Fortunatly, the forecast for Friday looks partly cloudy but I bet we're still very soggy!

Sure things. What one item do expect to get year after year?
Princess7915 replied to sm1kla's topic in 2006
The last few years it's kind of become a silly little tradition to buy new "fuzzy" socks! They are always on sale and it's one of the little things I buy for myself for the comming cold nights. -
Bath and Body works never prints an ad but they always have stuff on sale. Lots of their "gift baskets" and sets are on a good discount.

IN STOCK! Nintendo Wii preorders available @ Walmart.com
Princess7915 replied to RossMAN's topic in 2006
It's really too bad they are not taking orders for the console only. I'm not interested in the games. -
Are you sure it wasn't Tivo?? Don't know anything about at Vivo. Sorry

Last year I went in for the "great deal tote bag" and was disappointed. The bag was cute enough, but all that was in it was small sample sizes of a bunch of stuff I would never use. I didn't spend the extra money to get the bag--I would have thrown all the stuff in it away anyway.

How many of you will be taking 1st timers with you this year?
Princess7915 replied to tdanette's topic in 2006
Last year my mother and I initiated my aunt (mom's sister.) She doesn't plan to go with us this year. My husband has agreed to "give it a try". Odds are he won't be attending next years adventure. -
I would think that if you're not a hard core enough BF shopper to have found Gottadeal on your own then you are probably not much competition!!! If you don't have the desire to search for "secret" deals you are not going to be an all-nighter or an early riser on BF.

All I have to say is thank you to LNT for being such jerks...It makes my day easier to just go to Bed Bath and Beyond---I like that store better anyway.

I think all this "major rollback" talk from Walmart is a bunch of advertising hype. Why haven't we seen it yet? If their BF ad is any indication of their strategy for record setting sales they are sadly mistaken.
