  1. We have a store called Garden Ridge and they have some really cute gift boxes. They are all half price right now I got some small ones the other day - they are perfect for a GC still and they don't need any wrapping just a little tape to keep them closed.
  2. I'd put up a video camera so you could see who is damaging your property. If anything you would know who it is and be able to send to cops down to talk to their parents-obviously it's kids causing trouble.
  3. Donder Like Donder you are sensible and a good leader. You know the right things to do at the right time and have people's respect
  4. My family always trades our wish lists with each other. We all kind of have a no buying anything for yourself rule after November 1st and we "put out the lists" around Thanksgiving. It's kind of turned into a little tradition in itself to email out our wish lists. Because everybody does it nobody is embarrassed by it. We all put all kinds of things on there even what scents at B&BW we like and gift prices range from stuff really little like $10 up to more expensive items. It's really meant to be a shopping guide and we are all free to pick from the list or come up with our own ideas for each other.
  5. This was much needed fun on a stressfull day. thanks!!!
  6. This year in your Christmas stocking you will get : The Wings Of Angel
  7. Of course they have stockings! They are my only childeren. Of course Dh doesn't quite get this but he plays along well enough. We have a new baby celebrating her first Christmas this year. She loves the tree and thinks we bought it just for her! I don't know what they will all be getting this year but I'm sure it will be fun. We have a cocker spaniel 7 a rescue cat 7 and a rescue kitty 4 mo.
  8. Last year my mom (we have 30 female coworkers) went to JC Penny and got fuzzy socks for everyone. (they kind you wear with P.J's) We bought all different colors and wrapped them in x-mas tissue. They were on sale for about $2 a pair. The girls loved them! and it was so easy. And it was something they would use not just junk drawer. If you have a Lindt Chocolate store you could go buy some bags of their truffles and split them up for the guys. Price out how many bags you can afford and then just divide them by how many men you have. Or they even sell the bags of Lindt truffles at some Super Walmarts now. Everyone love good chocolate. I would like that better than dollar store stuff.
  9. Polly Pocket actually has a coupon out that you can print (it's on a fourum on here somewhere) and it's good in any store...sale prices too. We used ours at Kohls 50% off sale you can use one for as many toys as you buy seeing as many of these toys online are backordered. We got some of the toys (smaller ones) for $1.25 after our additional 15% by using our Kohls credit card.
  10. I'm just jumping in on this but I kind of understood the original question not just to be what "brand" is hot but want kind of trends are hot in handbands. Let's face it -doesn't take a much thinking to put out there that a Fendi bag is at the top of the list! But who can afford that for a gift and by the way if you can ...please put me on your list :) ANYWAY... Metallics are pretty popular this winter in handbags and so are the croc. skin purses. Take note of what she carries as far as size goes though because people can be pretty particular about what kind of purse they carry. Good luck to you and just FYI I don't spend that kind of money on a purse either and IF for some Unearthy reason I did, it would not be for somebody else. Happy Shopping!!!
  11. This is all so funny! I don't have any kids so it never crossed my mind that this could be a problem! I have a new kitten this year - about 3 months old. I was prepared for her to be up my tree but I never even thought about her unwrappen gifts! Oh my Lord what am I going to do about her- I know she'll do it too because she is an absolute mess!!! thanks for the heads up anyways!!!
  12. I've just decided that if the stores want to make it so difficult then they are going to be the ones that suffer because I won't be spending the big $$ that I usually do! I'm only going to buy what I need for gifts for people on my list and what I feel is for a good deal. That's what my BF holiday shopping is about! I'm not going to break my rear end trying to find where they've hidden the super secret sales! I would think that after last years terrible holiday shopping reports that the stores would have learned their lesson and tried to welcome the shoppers not to put them off completely.
  13. I am THRILLED with the Walmart ad!! (do I have your attention now?) All I can say is now I have one less place to go on BF! I was pretty much thinking I wasn't going to Walmart anyway but after seeing that absolute JOKE of an ad the only reason I'd go to Walmart on BF is if I need a potty break - because I bet it won't be very crowded!
  14. These are "door buster" sales prices however, this is for a regular weekend sale not Black Friday's Door Buster prices.
  15. I agree that Pricematching is Pricematching and either a store should or shouldn't do it. However, a store is out for themselves and not thier customers as they prove over and over again. They are always bending their own rules to do whatever is going to benefit them most in any given situation. BUT I don't think that on a day as crazy as BF that it is reasonable to expect them to verify another store still has a product in stock - (personally I think they should pricematch it as long as they have it in stock)0 - but that's just me. Pricematching is a tricky thing. I feel that a store agrees to match another company's price on something because they are trying to get me as a customer - by making me feel unwelcome in their store when I try to take advantage of something they are offering to me they are defeating the entire purpose and I feel that they should not even bother. I have in complete honesty only Pricematched 1 item in my entire life and it wasn't even for me!!! I feel like I owe my business to the store who was willing to give me the best price in the first place.
  16. Last year it took us about 1.5 hours to check out. You just kind of have to plan on it and be aware that it's par for the course on Bf almost anywhere you go! I love BF shopping at Kohls!!
  17. Man I love KK!!! There is one like 10 minutes from me. They get me into a lot of trouble. Do yourself a favor....never EVER go online and look at the nutritional information.
  18. Right now Virginia Beach is predicted to be Sunny and 60. We shall see...I'm sure it will change 5 times before BF gets here. Update: (nov.17) Now it's supposed to be 45 with 30% chance of rain...I'm not liking where this is headed Hopefully we'll have another change in the next few days.
  19. You can always "get sick" a few hours before the end of you shift and have to go home. Make a couple of mad dashes to the bathroom with your hand over your mouth.
  20. Best Buy is bad all year for not having advertised items. They are pretty notorious for "bait and switch" sales. I have also found in the past that they are also bad about advertising a price for something -especially computers- and the price is only good if you add on extras such as software or warranty purchases but you only find this out at the register. Normally I avoid Best Buy like the plague.
  21. Normally you can gather any items that you want to price match etc. ahead of time but they will not roll out any of the "big ticket" or "door buster" items until close to the 5 a.m time. Most stores will have these items scattered around the stores on employee attended pallets. The tricky part about that is the items are not where you might expect them to be.
  22. I'm not....but I hope DH is!!!
  23. Off with thier heads!!!
  24. ...to much time on your hands......
  25. Before you lay out all the money on a Dyson I have suggestion on another option for you. I was in the market for a Dyson also. I have terrible allergies and thought a Dyson was going to be the way to go. After reading a bunch of product reviews I ended up buying a Bissell Healthy Home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I read a ton of reviews about it and many of the owners had traded in their Dysons for it! It's way less expensive and I figured why not! With sales, coupons and a rebate offer we got ours from LNT for about $150 -Dh was most impressed. I cannot say how much I love my Heathy Home Vacuum- it picks up sooo much junk out of my carpet it's amazing and with a dog, 2 cat's and a bunny I have a TON of animal hair!!! This thing is amazing.
