Tracy72 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 the one that I have no interest in what so ever.....lol
mam627 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 WM and BB are working way too hard to keep them secret. I'm going w/ Ace Hardware.I agree with you, I'm saying Ace Hardware also!
Bunniq Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I voted for Wal-Mart. Kind of hoping they try a different tactic and think they will get more customers just because their ad was "leaked". I have to admit since I found this site I have shopped at stores I would not have gone to if I had not seen their leaked ad well in advance of Thanksgiving Day.
Marcster Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I agree with you, I'm saying Ace Hardware also!I'll also echo Ace Hardware as first. Purely speculation, but since Ace Hardware stores are independently-owned and operated (http://www.myace.com), I think the store owners need a little more time to get everything ready, therefore the ads have to go out to the stores sooner. Every other store that does a circular (BB, CC, W-M, Target, etc.) are all corporate-owned. Again, this is purely speculation! http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/ok.gif
djinniman Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Absolutely Ace Hardware, the last place I'd ever go on Black Friday!
TheLegend Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 You guys call last year's WalMart ad an ad?? They had better non-ad items on BF. PS..... Brad.... my Coyotes avitar needs an update.
ms_mckenna Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Gotta go with Ace as well. If not Ace it will be something very off the beaten path like Ace.
my3bellas Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Walmart didn't have a good ad last year. Maybe it will be a great one this year. Keep your fingers crossed
cleverbffool Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 I think a drug store such as Walgreens or Rite Aid
cherry33778 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Based on the fact that Walmart's ad was almost the last to get leaked last year, and that the Ceo's was ticked about it, my guess is it's going to be even worse this year to see it. Even though I hope it is the 1st, and hopefully with better ads than the previous years, besides bathrobes and and non-competitive prices.
xBRIANx Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I am going with Walmart but Best Buy is a very close secondNo way... Best Buy never leaks early. It's always a crappy store like Kmart or Wal Mart.
TENIA66 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I will say Ace also, with the minor retailers, and I would say of the major retailers CompUsa or Walmart will leak out in mid October. The CEO of Phillips has already mentioned some deals with WalMart as has Apple too.....................................
jarerice Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I think last year Aces Hardware was first out.
jaymacfla Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Kmart, and they will have a big going out of business sale combo.
jellybean051901 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 wasn't ace first last year? I think the bigger stores will go to greater lengths to keep a lid on their ads this year
davephillyj Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I don't usnderstand why though....You'd think they would want us to plan and plot and go to their store.
PdT Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Who wants to bet me that the moment we see the first ad come in it'll show up for auction on eBay? I remember people did that last year and made some small fortunes selling the leaked ads to poor saps who didn't know any better. And the ads they were selling even had the web site's 'stamp' on it mentioning where to get it for free. That's just ... wrong.Omg I can't believe people did that. Wouldn't you get in serious trouble for selling leaked BF ads?
Spotted1 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I voted Kmart, although after thinking on it some more, I'm curious if some big players won't secretly leak their ad early to see customer reactions to them with enough time to tweak the ad before the big day.
mesarobins Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 (and the sad/scary thing is, I'm willing to bet there would be more than one person on here who would pay if we did offer such a thing, lol)I bet there'd be several...but I'll save my money for shopping and wait the darn extra 10 minutes tapping my fingers all the while!
mesarobins Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Omg I can't believe people did that. Wouldn't you get in serious trouble for selling leaked BF ads? You're not paying for the ad, your paying for their time and trouble to download, copy, paste and take your money via ebay.
agrigar Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Just asked my H if he has seen the one for Ace. I thought he had it in July last year, he is going to check tomorrow at work.
Sacramentum Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I am betting it will be Wal-mart first.. Or Best Buy.. or Circuit City.. I can't decide!!! Just excited!!!!
Novac Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 This poll will close on 12-5-2007 at 6:20 PMI don't know how relevant this poll will be after mid- to late-October, let alone a week and a half after BF
dswright Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Another vote for Ace--at least we were able to stock up on all of our home painting supplies for pennies after rebate, and we did not have to stand in line for hours to buy it either.
amyers12345 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 And the winner is.....Ace Hardware! And THAT is why I should be voted BF queen!!!
