My dad had windows 8 on his laptop last year. It was horrible so I made sure I ordered a windows7 version a few months ago for me and hubby from DELL.... But the kids learn technology so fast I don't care avout that for them, lol

I got the $278 one too. I didn't realize it was the touch screen one. I don't know much about computers, but why would you need to have a touch screen? I guess I need to take it out and charge it and play with it a bit to make sure its all ok! Thanks for your feedback guys!

Best buy isn't available for shipping. Pick up only and there isn't one in any store in a 200 mile radius. Thanks though. Well I got ALL THE WAY to the final submit button and it never would show me a reduced price. I need 3--- one for each of my teens and when it showed up $1,000 I knew that was more than we could afford. This is the only thing my kids will get this year. They need it for school mainly so they didn't need anything fancy or expensive

I've had mine in my cart the whole time but it shows the price of $379 not the promotional $199 ---- I'm going nuts trying to get it to go down to the sale price Now it just changed that we have to wait till 1am!!!
