2001 was the first year for me....although, I was only 15 and could not drive yet, so the earliest I could get my mom up was around 11:00 :runaway: and the only deal I was able to walk away with was one of the $5 M&M radios from Radio Shack. Did significantly more the next year, when bro and I could both drive, but 2001 paved the path for my Black Friday career ;)

I've been shopping BF since I was in high school/college back in the late 70's/early 80's! It was a tradition for my mom and I. Spend all day, have a great lunch, stack the trunk of the car full! What fun!

The first one I can remember and it probably is farther back than this is when my 17 year old was 2 months old. We went out for See n' Says. Hey - the were under $5 and I remember I bought 3 of them for him and his cousins

I used to go by myself but when my Dad died in 9/2002, my sister was only 14 (I'm 14 years older) so we started going together as a bonding time. Our brothers ended up getting into the mix and we all met for breakfast so now that's become our tradition.

Sis and I get up for the store openings and then the boys come pick us up (don't want to be loosing that parking space! lol) and we all go to breakfast.

Yeah, Dad would be happy :yay:
