  1. THANK YOU so much for posting this! In for one pair of Steelers crocs for the hubby!
  2. Thank you!!! I got Harry Potter and Night at the Museum. I will have some happy kids!
  3. This might be a regional thing, but the only one at our Sam's club is a 15 foot one, which would not fit in our backyard. It was a great deal, and it was sold as a set - both the trampoline and the enclosure. We bought ours at Kmart this summer, both pieces for $228. I have seen it offered again since then, and for the same price. We're pretty pleased with ours except the directions are horrible. Walmart also had one for a similar price, but it was some lesser known brand.
  4. I don't know if the starter kit would be a better deal if purchased elsewhere, but I know my DS has definitely benefited from having a car adapter as well as screen protectors (he is very hard on the screen with the stylus). The additional styluses (stylii??) might be advantageous if a child tends to misplace things, but my DS is pretty good about putting the stylus back in place once he's finished. And depending on how many games you'll be purchasing, this comes with 6 plastic game cases as well. While we do have headphones, he never uses them. I just make him turn the volume down if we don't want to hear it. I hope this helps.
  5. Thanks for posting this! DH's New Balance shoes are always so pricey.
  6. My TRU was also running the sale of taking an additional 50% off clearance prices - I got boys Levi jeans for $4.00 a pair!
  7. I've seen them at a few Hallmarks. Not very impressed with the figures. My kids like the bookmarks better.
  8. We love: Carnival games Big Brain Academy Wii Sports Wii Play We rented Playground, and really disliked it. 2 we own that we're not big fans of are Chicken Shoot and Mario/Sonic Olympic Games. We'd like to get: Smarty Pants, Lego Star Wars, Dancing w/the Stars, Balloon Pop, Thrillville Anyone have Bust a Move Bash, or My Word Coach?
  9. Our kids (5 and 7) love Wii Play (plus you get the extra controller) and Carnival Games. Older DS votes for anything Pokemon, but Big Brain Academy (different from Brain Age) is fun even for him. He can't do all the mini-tests well, but he loves it anyway!
  10. Our Angel tree at church has both kids and elderly. We always choose a few of both, but the elderly ones break my heart. We've seen socks, blankets, hat and mittens, robes and such. They never include wish lists with them, but we always throw in a small thing or two plus some SF candy. As part of our service project at DS's preschool, we go to a nursing home and sing Christmas songs and give out baggies of treats and the kids hand make cards. It never fails that I get tears in my eyes when we go there. The patients are so happy and sing along with the children. We usually sing an additional round or two even after we're supposed to leave because they don't want us to go.
  11. Thanks, nothing good for me, either.
  12. We and the rest of the extended family try to cover most things, but there are some things mine just aren't getting. for example - $50-100 Lego Star Wars sets - those darn pieces will be under sofas, in sofas, stuck inside other toys and we'll never find them all to build the stupid things again.
  13. Gosh, I have too many: Little Drummer Boy Do You Hear What I Hear? Silent Night Mary Did You Know? Carol of the Bells A number of TSO songs
  14. I bought my items on Tuesday, and went back on Saturday night. I got my price adjustments without question. Maybe it also helped that I had about 10 other things on the receipt - it didn't look like I was specifically going for only BF items.
  15. I was completely impressed with Target. I was there right at the opening. They had an AP employee outside holding back all the non-waiting-in-line people while we filed in nicely (take notes, WalMart). There were employees stationed outside each department with ads in hand, ready to help customers. Every single checkout line was open (take notes, Kohls) and I waited maybe 2 minutes to check out. It was amazing. If Target wasn't already my favorite store, it would be now.
  16. OK, I was out shopping this evening and when I came home at about 9:50, DH told me we got Booed 2x between 9-9:30. Well, by the time I came home and unpacked the bags, I thought it was too late to try to scrounge around for stuff to make up bags, let alone type up the 'Boo' letter from scratch and ring someone's doorbell - it would have been at least 10:30 at night! Should I have done it anyway? I feel bad, because tomorrow I will be running around like an idiot all day/night with kids parties, trick or treating and various other commitments and should I even do it on halloween night?!?! I feel like such a heel!
  17. Happened to me at WM in '00 when I was about 8 mo. pregnant. No one cared, or even looked to see who/what they were pushing and shoving when the doors opened. In addition to the pushing, I had a cart rammed into me. The lady never even looked at me, much less apologized. Our WM still has no clue how to run things properly. They let people who just jump out of their cars in first as the store doors open, while the people who wait in line all night have to walk in single file. ?!?!?! Last year was the first year I didn't stop there at all on BF and now with these stupid legal threats against GD, I don't think I am going there this year, either. Our store is 24 hours and they do not stay open all night the night before BF.
  18. We just recently got Walgreen's around here, so I am somewhat of a novice.... but I was just there today and used several of their store coupons in conjunction with manufacturer's coupons.
