I don't know if it is a local promo or not but yesterday El Chico restaurant had buy $50 get $25 free!! One person we saw bought $400 worth.

We also used to open one present on Christmas eve. It was usually an ornament and we'd put it on the tree that night as well.

Our furkids have stockings also! I've been collecting random toys since October - like $2 stuffed bones on clearance, etc. They'll have their stockings and a present from Santa under the tree. And we have a birthday hat that we take thier picture in on their b-days.

I bet that's right. The guy in electronics looked at me like I was a freak when I asked if there were any left at 5:30. They were gone in 5 minutes. Our store only had 25 from what I heard.

Don't know why but my emails have stopped coming as well. Thank goodness for this site though! Love it

I didn't see too much that. Was disappointed in the tools at Sears (DH is a mechanic) but nonetheless I'll still be out shopping. Why break tradition right?

2 years ago we started at JC Penney at 6am but the other store in the mall I wanted to go to (Zales) but it wasn't open yet so we sat outside and when an older gentleman walked up to the store to start opening, I asked him when they planned to open. Unfortunately it wasn't for another 45 minutes but he asked me what I had come for - happened to be a 1/2 ct 3 stone ring for $199!- and he asked me what cut (princess of course ) & said he would hold it for me. I was shocked but sure enough, when we came back a couple hours later he had it on his finger so it would not get sold. That was so very nice of him to do that for me.

The Suntree area (where your Dad is) has always been very nice but there was never any shopping, etc. DH & I are kicking ourselves for not building in Viera when we could have for 150k or better. Houses there are now going for nothing shy of 250k it's crazy. We live in the Lake Washington area which is about 5 miles or so from your Dad.

Was just at that Target at lunch today to return a shirt - going back after work since I totally forgot about 90% off halloween clearance! Small World :)

I know exactly where you are talking about. :) I was born and raised here. Yeah, I have never been to a Kohls before this weekend. I wasn't impressed either but I DID find an awesome pair of sunglasses! lol You are right, our SuperTarget does rock!

Depends on what kind of shopping you are looking for. I live in Melbourne and the Viera area is nice, right off 95 - won't take more than an hour from WDW early in the AM and that has Super Wal-Mart, Target, Kohls, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Belks, Ross, Linens-N-Things and others. It's more outside shopping so if you are looking for more of a mall-type environment, it would not be great for you.

How exactly do you do PM at Wal-Mart? Do you have to go to the service desk or just bring the flier with you to the register? May be a silly question to some but I've never done it. TIA!!

I used to go by myself but when my Dad died in 9/2002, my sister was only 14 (I'm 14 years older) so we started going together as a bonding time. Our brothers ended up getting into the mix and we all met for breakfast so now that's become our tradition. Sis and I get up for the store openings and then the boys come pick us up (don't want to be loosing that parking space! lol) and we all go to breakfast. Yeah, Dad would be happy

For those of you that used it at KMart did they question where you got it from? I ask because I used a F&F 25% off at Linens & Things on Friday and they asked who I got it from. Was a bit embarassing having to come up with something on the spot. Ahhhh what we won't do for a deal!

At Kohls for a purse 50% off (for me) & Corona T-shirts 50% for one of my brothers for Christmas. My best find was $9.99 dog toysat Petco clearanced for $2.00 and with Pals card $2.00 coupon (automatic) they were free!! I went back and bought 4 more!

Never more than an hour early. I love my BF deals but I'm no early riser.

Thank You DH is a mechanic so I'm always at Sears for Craftsman stuff at some point on BF - this will clear up my time for another store.
