Don't know if this would be doable or not (might run into a legal thing), but how about a shopping cart with the names of many of the stores that people shop at on Black Friday inside the cart? Walmart, Meijer, Menards, Kohls, etc. The names of the stores could either be stacked on top of each other or kind of mish mashed around. Then come up with a slogan to go along with it. Also have t-shirts in men's and women's styles.

1. Approximately how many years have you been shopping on Black Friday? Every year for the last 17 years, but off and on, not every year before that. 2. Do you plan to spend more, less or the same amount of money during Black Friday week this year? Probably about the same, although I do have a little more disposable income this year so we'll see. 3. Do you plan on shopping online during Black Friday week this year? I do and am hoping to find some really good prices along with free shipping. 4. How many people do you plan on shopping with on Black Friday this year? Just my sister and me, as always. 5. If you could make stores change one thing about Black Friday besides opening times, what would it be? Better deals, more deals and better signage telling me where sale items are. Also, all stores should be like Menards and have LOTS of each item available.

It's a little time consuming, but when my boys were young I traced their hands on green construction paper. I would cut several of them out and then arrange them, fingers down, into a Christmas tree shape. We'd cut out a yellow star and put on top and then decorate it with glitter glue.

I bought this for my son a couple years ago. Even though he is older and can read fine, he has a processing disorder and this helps him be able to form his words and thoughts better.

I normally don't purchase much, if anything, for myself. I go Black Friday shopping with my sister and if I see something that catches my eye, it usually ends up in her shopping cart, sometimes hidden so I don't see it, and I'll get it from her for Christmas.

I've been socking away cash all year. That, along with my Christmas Club account money and, of course, my Amazon credits is all I plan on using this year.

1. Hello, does anybody want to come in and shop? Where is everybody?! 2. Everyone I know is getting a new TV from me this year. 3. No, no, no! You're doing it all wrong. You bend over backwards to do the limbo!

My sister and I always make it a point to stop at Walmart, Meijer and Menards. Those are the stores where the majority of our shopping is done.

I was just going to post this same thing! When I first heard them talking about it, I thought they were crazy starting it so early. But I'm getting so ready for them to start now!

Would be great to win this for my son who is doing all online classes this year.

HansieDZ, I'm so sorry for your loss. How devastating! I can't even begin to imagine! Prayers to you and your family.

I normally love Christmas, it's my favorite time of year. But we lost my mom back in April and I'm just not excited about Christmas this year. When we were kids, my mom stayed home with us and Dad was the one who worked and brought in the money. We didn't have much throughout the year, but Mom always made Christmas something special for us kids, we usually got everything we asked for and then some. My husband and 2 sons don't care if the house is decorated or not, but my husband and younger son will help me if I ask them. I just don't feel it is worth the effort this year.

It's always just my sister and me. DH went the first year with us and swore he'd never go again!

We're organized. Even though my boys are 21 and 15, I still wait to put the gifts out till after they go to bed. Then I organize them according to who they are for. I buy all the presents, but my husband does buy a few on his own as a surprise and organizes the ones he buys. Then on Christmas morning, after I wake the boys up (they were NEVER early risers on Christmas morning...something I've never heard of!), we sit around the living room. I hand out the gifts except the ones my husband buys. Everyone gets one gift at a time, but we all get one at the same time. I save the best (biggest, most expensive or the most anticipated) for last. Once opened, the paper is thrown away right away so nothing gets mixed in and lost. That's how we did it when I was a kid and it seemed to work out pretty well so I've done the same.

I am thankful for my husband who loves me and works so hard for his family. If I asked him for the moon, he'd try to figure out a way to get it for me. I'm thankful for my 2 sons, Justin, who is pursuing his career as a police officer and Ryan, who, although he has ADD, a processing disorder and social anxiety, tries his best in school. All three of these wonderful guys keep me in stiches every single day with their sense of humor! I'm also thankful for my dad and sisters, our health, our house, our freedom, my friends and new this year, my job. I thank God every single day for every one of these things and more.

I'm always up for suggestions on this too. One thing I always put in is an orange because I remember both of my grandmas saying they would get those when they were kids. I also do candy, a new toothbrush, scratch-off lottery tickets and little snacks that I know they like.
-
I'll just ask for stuff that I need and use, but don't like to buy myself...bodywash, deodorant, shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper. You know, the boring stuff! I would really like to have a garbage disposal, though, if I had to ask for something else.

Definitely Menards! I never knew Amazon had a BF ad so I'd like to see that as well.
-
1. $400-$500 and hoping to get a big chunk of my shopping done on BF this year. 2. 7-10 stores, depending on all the ads. 3. I'll probably do a little more online shopping this year since I've been saving up some Amazon credit.

I was wondering what happened to all my posts from yesterday. Glad there's an explanation. Hope you can get it fixed soon!

We'll start out in Findlay, Ohio, in NW Ohio. Couldn't figure out how to put my location on the map.

Have you ever or Would you ever Camp Out for Black Friday Deals?
ilikefree replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
I haven't camped out, but have stood in lines early in the morning (the days before Walmart was open all night). I have a story we still laugh about. One year Lowe's had some DeWalt drills on sale. My husband went and they were already sold out. So the next year he saw the same ones in the ad. So he convinced our older son to camp out with him. They left about midnight and set up their tent. They went and checked the line several times during the night, but people didn't start showing up till about an hour before the store opened. They even had store employees come out and take a picture of their tent set up in front of the door! BTW, they DID end up getting the drills they wanted. -
I do most of my shopping in the actual stores, but I have some Amazon credit that I've been saving up that I'll be using as well. Overall, I think I'll do most of my shopping in store, hoping to get most of it done on Black Friday this year.

What a great contest!

1. I'm guessing Walmart will have the best deals on things I'm looking for this year. 2. I need great deals this year, so even though I think stores should be closed on Thanksgiving to give their employees the time with their families, I'll probably shop Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and the weekend after for deals. 3. I'm guessing Walmart will start their sales at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving night this year.
