  2. I'm with everyone else who wants their kids and dh to get along. My boys are 16, 10 and 50 (dh). As if it isn't bad enough when the 16 and 10 year olds fight all the time, it's just 10x worse when dh joins in! I have a laptop computer on my list, but it's highly doubtful I'll get it since we just had to replace our 10 year old refrigerator. Aren't they supposed to last longer than that?! Our stove is over 25 years old (dh had that before we even met!) and that thing won't die no matter what I do to it!!! I'd also like a new digital camera, a Brita or Pur water pitcher, a new shower caddy that isn't rusted and a new chair mat for my computer chair.
  3. I agree...gottadeal.com is THE BEST at keeping me informed of everything! That's how I found out about the Secret Saturdays last year and scored some great stuff.
  4. My recipe is really simple, but all the kids in my son's class love them. Holiday Pretzel Treats Ingredients: bite-size waffle-shaped pretzels Hershey Kisses and/or Hugs Red and green M&M's Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil. Line up pretzels in a single layer on cookie sheet. Top each pretzel with a Hershey's Kiss or Hug. Bake for 4-6 minutes until chocolates feel soft when touched with a wooden spoon. Remove cookie sheet from the oven and quickly press an M&M into the center of each kiss. Place in refrigerator to set, about 10-15 minutes. And here is a family favorite: Cherry/Jello Cake Ingredients: White cake, baked according to directions on box 2 small boxes or 1 large box cherry Jello 2 cans cherry pie filling 1 8 oz. tub of Cool Whip When cake is out of the oven, poke the top full of holes with a large 2 pronged fork. Make Jello according to package directions and pour evenly over entire cake. Top with cherry pie filling and spread evenly over cake. Top with the Cool Whip and refrigerate till cold, preferrably overnight. You can also use strawberry Jello and strawberry pie fillling instead of cherry.
  5. Apparantly they are very hard to find, and no, that isn't a good deal. Wal-Mart has them for $8. Or should I say that's what they're asking for them when they have them in stock. Good luck finding one for that price. :)
  6. These are the only sizes available as of right now. 6 petite 8 regular 10 petite 12 petite 12 regular 12 long 14 long 16 regular
  7. I agree...it should be one ticket per person. If your friend isn't there when they hand out the tickets, too bad.
  8. I was in a 24 hour Wal-Mart last year on BF waiting by the big stack of flat screen tv's. I was right beside them and when the plastic came off, they started flying everywhere! I got hit in the head numerous times and never did get my tv even though I was one of the first ones there
  9. I'm hoping for some really great deals. Money here is very tight, as I'm sure it is everywhere. Has anyone heard anything about Wal-Mart possibly doing the Secret Saturday sales like they did last year?
  10. Okay, I'm really stupid at this...IF they have these at a reasonable price and IF each of my sons would get one, could they go online with our wireless connection? That would be so great so I'm not hearing them fight over who gets the computer and "he's hogging the computer!" This would be so great!
  11. I don't know of any deals for buying it, but I bought some Hostess cupcakes that I found at Wal-Mart. They are like the regular cupcakes but they are called Monster Cakes and have blue frosting and blue sprinkles on them. On the back of the box there is an offer that if you buy Monsters Vs Aliens DVD or Blue-Ray and any 2 Hostess Family size packages you can get $4 back by mail. You can download the rebate form at www.hostesscakes.com. You'll need your receipts and UPCs. Hope this helps.
  12. They closed down our Value City several months ago. I was sad to see it go, I always got good deals there. Seems like nothing is safe anymore.
  13. Great site...thanks for sharing!!
  14. I was just reading over the coupon and it says the free panties are WITH a bra purchase. Thanks anyway.:)
  15. There's nothing I hate more than waiting in a long line, only to have the store open their doors and then the people who don't want to wait in line like everyone else in the cold weather, jumping out of their warm cars and running through the doors! What does anyone else do in that case? The people waiting in line yell at them to get at the end of the line, but they just keep going on in, grabbing up everything before we can get it. That's the worst part of BF!
  16. When my sons have male teachers, I either do a movie theme, a basket or bucket with microwave popcorn, movie theater candy, maybe a cheap throw, and a gift card to Movie Gallery. Either that or I've also done a stick of summer sausage with a box of crackers and some cheese. They've seemed to like both.
  17. I have a couple codes where I can get a free 8x8 photo book and a free calendar from Shutterly. I'd like to have them shipped to me for free if I can. Does anyone have any free shipping codes? Thanks in advance.
  18. We have regular cable (I don't think our dinky little town offers digital cable). Does that mean I can buy a regular DVD player/recorder and it will work?
  19. My younger son is really into Transformers too. His birthday is this Saturday and everything on his list is something to do with them.
  20. Thanks for the info!
  21. I don't plan on it, but I will if anything interesting happens.
  22. Socks, jeans and underwear for dh and 2 ds. One year my mom had those 3 oz. white Solo bathroom cups on her list so I got her some. DH saw the list and decided to load up on them for her. Every other gift she opened had a pack in. She was stocked up on them for quite a while. We do still buy them for her, but not over a couple packs of them.
  23. Same here. I found a lot of stuff at Menards last year. I can't believe their ad isn't out yet.
  24. LOL. I've never found worms, but have definitely found some interesting things in their pockets.
