Socks, jeans and underwear for dh and 2 ds. One year my mom had those 3 oz. white Solo bathroom cups on her list so I got her some. DH saw the list and decided to load up on them for her. Every other gift she opened had a pack in. She was stocked up on them for quite a while. We do still buy them for her, but not over a couple packs of them.

Same here. I found a lot of stuff at Menards last year. I can't believe their ad isn't out yet.

I had one in the 70's and I played with it ALL THE TIME!! I just loved it! But I know what you mean about companies not making things the way they used to. It seems like now they just see how many they can push out in a day's time just to get the money rolling in. Since I have 2 boys and no girls I don't know what these new ones look like, but they must be pretty bad to be creeping people out.

I'm waiting for Menard's. We got some really good deals there last year, including a pack of 36 batteries really cheap. I can't wait to see what they have this year.

When I worked at Wal-Mart the employees weren't allowed to shop early. If you had to work, you had to find someone to wait in line and purchase the item for you, just like everyone else.

That's what I thought too. What happened to the days when they had their "I gotta have that!" stuff listed? I can't wait till Meijer is listed. Last year that is where I found the majority of my stuff.

I've never been to Best Buy, but I'd say the earlier, the better. And have fun on your first BF. It is so much fun!!!

What happens to your tent when the doors open? Isn't it kind of big to lug around in the store with you? Plus the time it takes to take it down? Just curious, it does sound like a good idea.

We always get a Wal-Mart paper in the mail a few days beforehand. But I always subscribe to one of the newspapers from a bigger town close to us to get the other ads. The paper gets delivered usually by 3 a.m. I do use this site to make my list before I even get the ads, but I like to have the actual ads when I'm shopping.
