We never did get ours up this weekend. We'll be kicking ourselves in the butt when its 20 degrees out and we have to do it lol. We did drive by a house that not only had the lights up but ON this weekend!

Yeah, I'm not sure they do that every store though (don't know why). Last year hubby got one of those 20% off one item coupons (can't be used in conjunction with the regular 10% discount) and we tried to use it at a different store other then the one he works at because the other store is actually closer to us. The cashier was like "Hey, I didn't get one of these" and called her supervisor over. The supervisor wouldn't let us use it there because he said their store doesn't give those out. We would have to use it at his store. Ooops.

This will be my third year as well :) Went in 2003, 2004 and now 2005.

If it does then yes you can It will be cool if it does. I have a few things I want to pick up and the extra 10% would be nice EDIT: You know come to think of it, it may apply to BF. I remember we bought my son the bike they had last BF and used the discount. Although I don't remember if the bike was an early bird item or not but, I remember we did get the discount.

Can you use it on sale items? I had asked hubby the other night and he told me no. I'll have to yell at him for that lol. As for food items, the discount has never been applied on any of the food items we bought and we always shop at regular (non superstore) Walmarts. Nor on the clearance stuff.

My hubby works for Walmart- they get a 10% discount and I DON'T think it will be honored on BF (discounts can't be used on clearance, sale or food items- I would guess that means it can't be used for BF either since that is a sale although, we never tried).

Yup, I'm a she and I wasn't referring to Harry Potter (I am probably the only person on the face of the planet who hasn't seen ANY of the HP movies). Didn't even know "good dobbie" had anything to do with HP lol. But so happy I could plug it all the same

We have a store over here called PriceRite (they are owned by ShopRite) and everything there is WAY cheaper then regular supermarkets. The only major difference with this supermarket is 1. You either buy or bring your own shopping bags then bag your own stuff and 2. There is no Deli or seafood section. Other then that, they sell almost everything other supermarkets would sell. Anyway, they sell turkeys for Thanksgiving for .17 cents a pound! Needless to say, that is where we buy our turkey from lol. People were there last year buying 3 or 4.

Sorry about that guys! I thought I was being a good dobbie and found a good deal lol. My kids aren't into Star Wars so I've never actually taken a look at the Lightsabers. I wouldn't know the difference even if I was hit over the head with one lol.

We open our gifts on Christmas Eve but the kids do open their Santa gifts on Christmas morning. Usually around 8ish or so.

I was just looking at Kmarts sales paper (it is on their website right now for the sale that starts tomorrow) and on Tuesday they are having a special buy on them- $3.99 each. Walmart is going to be charging $8 on BF. They appear the be the same ones (I think?) Go to Kmarts website and check out the flyer if you want to make sure. EDIT: Looking closer it may not be the same thing. The Kmart one says "Basic Lightsaber" while the Walmart one says "Electronic lightsaber". I don't know, they look the same to me lol.

Not worth it to me. I like GC's as much as the next person but I am not a big fan of Sears, never have been. I think they are overpriced.
