Nope, not a manager :) Thats why I mentioned earlier in this thread, *his* WM pays better then most jobs in our area. That said, I've heard all WM's work differently.

My DH makes slightly over $11 an hour. $2 of that is shift differential though so his base pay is slightly over $9 an hour. He just got a promotion so he will be getting around $13 per hour. I don't know how other WM's do it but at his, they give you "points" when you first start based on your prior experience. For every point you have, your base rate goes up. He had some prior experience.

No, not at all. There have always been people who boycott Walmart- BF or not. Doesn't seem to be hurting them at all.

I tend to buy little things all year round but really get started between June and Aug. It makes things so much easier and less stressful knowing you don't have to come up with all that money at the last minute.

KB just had a clearance sale which included some PSP games for $10. I doubt there will be any left (they were running low on the games they had when I went about a week ago) but it could be worth a shot. Also Target had some on Clearance- $15 to $25. All they had left at my store was a soccer game but obviously, it will vary by store. Could be worth checking out too.

The whole "Happy Holidays" thing instead of "Merry Christmas" I just don't get the big deal. For goodness sakes, even both of my children's schools have "holiday" parties instead of "Christmas" parties just so it will encompass everyone.

Haven't seen that here. My DH works for Walmart and he makes well over minimum wage. That said, he works overnights so there is a shift differential and that helps. The pay is actually better then most the other jobs in our area.
