Rush Hour

So far not overly impressed .. still holding out hope with the Walmart and Toys r us ads.

At the most is an hour before the store opened.

Saw a couple things but over all not impressed with the ad.

No they were opened all night last year, well at least the 2 targets I stopped at were opened all night,

Years ago I took my daughter who just a baby at the time with me BF shopping but that was later in the morning well after the 6 am openings and the stores were pretty calm. She is now 16 and went shopping with us last year and loves it. She is already planning on going with us again this year. No way I would bring a baby or a little one with me when the stores open.

I question that all the time too. The last couple years we have gone into Target, Walmart and a couple other around midnight or later and found the store pretty empty and employees just standing around. Almost every time we have had store employees tell us to call all our friends and family and tell them to come down to the store to shop. I can't see how they are making money if the store is slow or empty and you have a ton of employees collecting paycheck just standing around.

Our township does a food drive for the holidays so the kids help me fill a couple bags of food to donate plus we donate township food bank throughout the year as well. My oldest volunteers to deliver free turkeys to seniors during the holidays and we buy and donate toys to toys for tots or to another local charity. My office also chips in and we adopt a family or 2 for Christmas.

Normally 2 weeks does not seem that long but in this case 2 weeks is going to feel like forever LOL

Last year Thanksgiving was on the 24th. Maybe they forgot to change the date from last year however I am hoping their BF sale actually starts on Friday.

It all depends on what the item is. If I am not sure it will be available BF due to limited supply, color wise or size wise then I will opt to get it early especially if it's a must have.

Yes their prices are higher but I love their eye liner and foundation. Their foundation doesn't irritate my skin and the eyeliner stays put and lasts all day so to me its worth the extra few bucks.

I stopped in the Kmart by my work a few weeks ago and I couldn't find anything I wanted to buy. Sears parking lot is always pretty empty too.

I pencil in a few weekend afternoons/week nights between the beginning of Nov through Mid Dec for wrapping.

I have the LG ones that Walmart last year on BF. The battery life holds up pretty long and I haven't had any problems. I got my hubby LG pair that Walmart sold on BF 2 years ago and they are still going strong too.

I wait for the ads to come out to see what's on sale first. At least half of the stuff we get on BF is movies and video games.

Thanksgiving weekend is when we decorate for Christmas. We have fall decorations that we leave up for Thanksgiving.

1. Ok Next up for auction is the LG TVs. Pass them around so everyone can have a look then then we start the bidding 2. Awe Don't they look cute waiting in that line all cold and wet ... and they still have another hour to wait. 3. Nope I am not doing another lap around the store looking for more door busters. Next year use GottaDeal.

I really miss those 4 and 5 am openings. Getting up at 3 am, stopping for round one of coffee on the way to Walmart which is always the 1st stop. Now I don't leave my house until around 8 pm to go shopping, its just not the same!

The TRUS Big Toy Book is mailed about a week before the sale starts and usually gets posted on here around the same time so we still have a couple more weeks to go.
