  1. Dollar General ad is posted on their website if anyone was looking for it. Some phone deals for prepaid phones! Good toy sale. And quite a bit, where the bulk of my spending will be this weekend
  2. I'll need to show DH, we weren't planning on going to the city but there's a few things I think he'd be interested in! And some of the best toy prices I've seen.
  3. My list for tomorrow is currently men's jeans assuming DH says they are the right kind, boys boxers in the next size up for my oldest, a Squishmallow, maybe a Melissa and Doug puzzle? And maybe pillows since I finally found the $5 Serta pillows. And maybe socks for myself, I need new ones but I've never bought Reebok and I'm very picky. I saved the diaper wipes I need to order so I'll have enough for free shipping. Unless I do the maybes I'd be under free shipping and that's unusual for me. Usually Walmart is my big spending spot but this year it's looking like Dollar General and Amazon are.
  4. For the toddler/preschooler who loves the song 5 Little Ducks! Super cute plush set I'm going to buy for one of these kids eventually! Pegmapri 14" Yellow Duck Stuffed Animal with Babies, Mommy Ducky Plush Playset with Zipper Pocket, 5pcs Ducklings Toys Plushie Birthday Gift for Kids Boy Girl https://a.co/d/5KP1N5l
  5. We took my niece one of the first years we went and she was maybe 2? 4am opening and my sister had to be at work at 6am so my mom and I were taking her home with us. I was on runner duty because my mom parked that baby in the cart on top of our coats and she took a wonderful nap. I'd go get things off the list and bring them to her then repeat. That's the only time we've taken a kid and I think if you HAVE to bring one that's the way to do it. But getting mad at clearly overtired kids isn't okay and I definitely side eyed the people bringing babies into the hotspots that could get a little rough like the towels, movies, the it toy. No deal is worth a baby getting hit on accident!
  6. I hate not having paper ads anymore. I can't even get a newspaper in my little town anymore but last time I did there were only like 4 ads. I hate how drawn out it all is now. I miss getting up at 2 am(or the one year I pulled an all nighter because I got a new book and finished it 15 minutes before we needed to get up to go shopping ) being at Walmart at 4am, then hitting Walgreens (B1G2 candles and wrapping paper deals) Dollar General and usually home. It was fun! I enjoy online shopping but it's not the same as going out with my mom and sister and getting giggly/punchy because we're tired and eating at Taco Bell because it's the only place open that has Pepsi.
  7. All the DVDs, back when they were still really popular and better selection. I was the teenager of our family's shoppers so I was prepped with a list and usually tried to get as close as possible to the Big Bang Theory sets because we always got my mom the newest season and it'd be $9.99? Instead of $30+ and at the show's heyday, those always went fast! Then they'd open the pallets and it was crazy but fun! And the year of the Hatchimals Limit 1 per person and my sister had two little girls who NEEDED them. She waited by the pallet with her MIL and they both got one but then we had to bury them in the cart because people kept trying to swipe them! Only thing we've ever had to do that for. I miss the drama o er cheap Walmart towels too. The first few years I went there was always a fight/crazy over those so my mom wouldn't let me go near the towels because she didn't want me damaged! By the time I was grown, they stationed a police officer there to watch and that cooled it down considerably
  8. It's started and posted on the website.
  9. Waiting for Dollar General, Target, and Walmart!
  10. Once my husband gets paid, I'll be doing the toy sale. The camera ODS is getting is included, and the kinetic sand. Plus a $5 truck for a cousin, using my 25% toy coupon/$10 off $40 coupon I'll be spending slightly less then what just the camera would have been!
  11. Usually Dollar General in store on Thanksgiving Day, Walmart in store or online, Amazon. Favorite place to shop for Thanksgiving/Black Friday anymore would be DG. Walmart just doesn't have the atmosphere anymore and there is something fun about being at DG when the doors open and running straight to either toys or whatever else was awesome As long as they do the usual toy sale I have a list of stocking stuffers to get! Mickey Mouse, they carry Melissa and Doug toys now! Squishy animals, Hot wheels. I have two Dollar General stores I usually go to, will need to check and see which has more of the toys I'm after in the next few weeks...
  12. Disney Cars as usual! I'm going to be so sad when I don't have anyone liking them, it's been a constant the last 4+ years! DH wants classic Mickey Mouse shorts. Best price I've seen so far is $15 a set from Walmart.
  13. Probably not going unless it's nice weather and we'll hit the zoo/gift shops BF sale! I'm trying to be done by mid November, everything just keeps going up instead of down!
  14. Nothing I'm interested in listed at least. I'm mostly buying for kids and making adults gifts though.
  15. I only went to Dollar General on Thanksgiving but what I noticed mostly people were there for last minute things for dinner or sick people, not the deals. The line was it's usual ridiculous ness but that's a DG thing with only one register/employee working. Between everything being available online, the spread out sales, and inflation I think it hit the in person shopping hard. I haven't heard anyone who really ran into long lines aside from the one who went to the outlets and my sister at Bath and Body Works.
