We are another does the organized route on Christmas morning. Also all Santa gifts are wrapped. Each child gets their own Santa themed wrapping paper but none are labled. They have to check their stocking to see what wrapping paper is used to wrap their stocking stuffers (yes santa wraps about half of their stocking stuffers) then that paper gets matched to the santa gifts under the tree. Everyone takes turn opening a gift so everyone can see what everyone got. This also gives the kids a chance to REALLY see what they got instead of opening up a gift, taking a quick glance at it before ripping open another gift.

1. I expect to spend around $400 the week of BF ... maybe a little more 2. I plan to shop in store at 5 - 7 different stores . 3. I will do more online shopping this year as I can not be at the stores at the opening times for some of the must have items on my list this year.
-
Thank you!!!! I was hoping to be able to order them online because I will not be able to get to Walmart until well after 8 pm.
-
I went to the BF ad on WM's website and when I clicked on some of the tablets for the 8PM sale they all said "In-Store Only"
-
I noticed that too. I am hoping they will be available on line.

Saw that Walmart has 3 tablets around the $100 price range.. Nextbook 8.1, RCA Pro10 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite. Can anyone offer any insight on these? Looking to get one for my teen which will be used for internet, videos and gaming. Thanks!

I saw some Tablets that I am interested in but can not be at the store when the sale starts. Has any one had any luck in ordering these type of items on line and getting them (meaning their order did not get canceled)? Thanks

Out shopping with a group and someone want to go TRY ON on clothes to see if they fit before buying them .... UMMM NO ... there are still more door buster deals to be had!!!!! Yes this has happened to me before ...

Saw a couple things ... Looks like online shopping at Kohls for me this year!
-
No these would be 2 different sales. The 2 for $30 is usually for games that are usually around the $20 price that can be found in the open cases near the registers in the electronic Dept. The buy 1 get one for 40% off are usually for the ones in the locked glass cases.

We dont have the Elf on the Shelf but we do have 2 plush elves that visit every Dec 1st to Dec 23rd. Thing we do during Dec: Christmas Parade Pictures with Santa Donate (toys for tots this year) Go driving around looking at Lights (usually 2 - 3 different nights) A lot of cookie baking Build Ginger Bread House make Christmas ornaments or picture frames to be given as gifts to Grandparents. aunts, uncles, etc Watch Christmas movies/specials as a family

Look to get a tablet for my teen ... would be used mostly for internet and gaming. Prefer not to spend over $200 ... Have been looking at a few different ones like the kindle fire and Samsung tablet but am open to other sugestions as well. Thanks

Against ... I will still go out but later in the night around 8/9. Granted I may miss on some door busters but since we host I refuse to move my dinner time earlier or kick guests out early so I can go shopping. Any MUST haves I will try to order online. I do prefer the 4/5 am openings but would setting for 10 pm/Midnight openings. Thanksgiving morning openings are a no go for us as well as the HighSchool Football team plays then and those games are a tradition.

Some ideas: Hoodies Warm fleece lounge pants & Slipper socks Box of his favorite snacks/gum PopCorn Tin (if he likes them) DVDs Portable DVD player if he does not have a tv and dvd player in his room. Several $5 gift cards to fast food places (think McDonalds, burger king, dunkin donuts, etc) If he has a favorite sports team then anything with that team logo on it (5 Below is a great place to find stuff like that) Nerf guns (make sure you pick up a second one for yourself)

Don't waste time looking for an item if you can find it another store. Many times the same movies and video games are available at multiple different stores. If you going to another store that has your movie/games on sales just as cheap and the first store doesn't have it move on. If you waste time looking for it in the first store you could miss out other deals.

Disappointed in the ad

Thanksgiving weekend is when we do all our Christmas Decorating ... inside and out.

We are doing cash this year. I have had my credit replaced once already this year and my debit card was just replaced last month. The only time I will use the credit card is if I need to order online but I am hoping to be able to get everything in the stores.

I got my husband a set for his xbox a couple years ago and got them for around $50 on BF at BestBuy. I was able to order them on line too.

We spread the christmas magic all through the month. Certain days are spent baking and decorating cookies. We pick a night and make a ginger bread house together, another night will be a PJ night (finger foods like chicken nuggets, pigs in a blanket, cheese and crackers, pepperoni bread, etc) we all grab our pillows a throw blanket and settle down in the living room in our PJs and just watch different Christmas shows/movies. This year the kids said they want to go Christmas Caroling so that may be a possibility. A couple evenings/afternoons will be spent making christmas crafts used to decorate the house and/or gifts for extended family memebers. One of my kids is in the school choir so we go to the school's christmas concert. Thanksgiving weekend will set up small christmas trees in their bedroom and decorate it with fun little ornaments. We also string christmas lights around the inside of their bedroom windows and change out their bed comforters for Christmas quilts. Its make their bedrooms feel festive and they really enjoy it. Dec 1 we have 2 magical elves that come for a visit and stay until the night of Dec 23rd when they return to the north pole. Ours are not the Elf on the shelf type but actual plush elves, a boy and a girl. Some mornings the kids will have to hunt for them and other mornings they kids will wake up to the elves in their beds. (our oldest knows the truth but still goes along with everything since our yougest still believes) Like others we alos go for ride to look at Christmas lights and will check the local paper to see if there are any Christmas related events happening on the area that are free or inexpensive.

He can buy a large flash drive and plug that into his xbox for addition storage if he is running out of space on his hdd. Flash drives are a lot cheaper then a new hdd. Thats what we did. Works just fine.
