I know our local walmart has been expanding the toy section over the past month and is setting up more toy displays. I will miss shopping at Toys R Us this BF but we did score a lot of toys at great prices before they closed.

Yup and the less time we are out shopping the earlier we can start decorating for Christmas LOL We are almost done our son too . just need to get some PJs, a few DVDs and stocking stuffers.

I have been finding all kinds of deals over the past few months and we are almost half way done shopping now. I think by the time BF hits the only thing we will be out shopping for is DVDs and clothes.

This year's Black Friday shopping is going to be different. We already have a good chunk of Christmas shopping done. I think the only things we will be going for this year will be DVD's and clothes and maybe a few things from the craft stores. No Toys R Us, not buying any video games this year and almost all the toys have been bought, just need to get a toy for our nephew.

We stopped at the one closest to us recently, everything was 40 to 60 % off. We found several great deals and before we checked out I compared those prices to the same item at amazon, target and walmart just to be sure. So we now have a several gifts for our kids tucked away for Christmas. The store shelves were still packed. We are going to check out a different toysrus this weekend to see if can find anything else.

We always went out shopping around 8 PM but I think this year we need to move that time to up even earlier. Kids are getting older so DVDs, video games and head phones have moved up higher on the list. We do probably 50% of our BF at Walmart and rest at other stores like Target, Kohls, etc. What stores will be left and what they will have on sale BF will determine the changes we make to our shopping plans.

So Sad but I am not surprised to hear the news this morning. My youngest is upset as Toys R Us is favorite store as I am sure it is for a lot of kids and adults. Their sales during the holidays were really good but it was the sales during the rest the year that were a bust. Plus their every day prices were higher and with some products they were a lot higher then other stores. Oh ever since they played the commercial jingle on the news report this morning its been stuck in my head LOL

Thankfully ours is not closing.

Well I opened my new Christmas club account last week and already have a good chunk of change on there. It will be nice to see that amount keep building over the next several months just I can spend most of it on BF

I was in and out with no wait. Found most of the DVDs I was after but since we didn't get there until 7:30 I didn't expect to find everything I was after. Store was packed but everyone was nice.

Last year I ordered a transformer toy online, it was cheaper online plus I had an online coupon code for additional savings. Well it was a hot item toy and when I went to Target to pick it up there was a man in there looking for that exact one. When he was told by the service desk they were sold out in store and online he was upset but got even more upset when he saw an employee bring mine up from the back. He tried to take it claiming he was there before me. They store manager had to explain to the man a couple times that I had ordered and paid for it days ago and it had just arrived at the store for me to pick up that morning.

I enjoy wrapping. I wrap almost everything except for the small stocking stuffers and any real big item (use those big gift bags). I try to break up my wrapping among several days so I am not overwhelmed.

I can remember years ago .. shopping for 8 + hours on BF as many stores had great deals. This year I am glad I got a lot of my shopping done early, scored better deals hitting the clearance sales and some sales during the past month then what is on sale for BF. I will still be going out shopping BF but I know I won't come close to buying the amount I used to. I think this year will be the year where I spend the least amount of money that I ever have on BF.

Looks like the only thing I will be going for are the Lego Dimension pieces.

Clothes, lounge pants, make up, dads, pictures frames or wall decor for her room.

Where are you going first this year on Black Friday/Thanksgiving?

NJ and Delaware

I have hidden larger gifts in my office at work. We have a good size walk in clothes and I keep totes in there labeled seasonal clothes. Kids gifts get hidden in the bottom of those with seasonal clothes layered on top. Attic is another good spot.

MUST stop for COFFEE while we are out shopping .. usually after walmart and before Toysrus
