  1. Wow, I'm just about opposite of everyone who's posted so far. I usually avoid TRU like the plague, but this year I just might have to make my merry way in.
  2. But no one has broken any of the rules that I'm aware of. To my knowledge noone actually has seen the ad and we're not talking specifics.
  3. Now THAT is a black friday ad. Just another reason I loves me some Kohl's.
  4. We "kind of" set $ limits. But if I see something I think dh would love and I've past my limit I don't really care, I buy it anyway. The way I see it, we do this once a year. We go all out at Christmas.
  5. I have no plans to boycott Walmart and I never did. They are one of the few stores that price matches and that gives them a thumbs up in my mind. Why would we boycott Walmart? Because they don't want their ad leaked or because of basic walmart policies? Because boycotting them because they want to hold onto thier ad is just silly imo.
  6. Probably all toys. I'm thinking that's what they did last year, but I could be wrong. And yes, I believe you can use your 15% off pick a day code + free shipping if you can find it. Me, I'm going to the b&m though so I may be wrong.
  7. That's wonderful news. Kohl's is the ONE place I won't miss on bf. I don't even really NEED much this year, but at those great prices it's worth it to stock up for the future.
  8. Hopefully this means the entire ad will leak soon. I'm losing my everlovin' mind waiting on this one particular ad. This is just a teaser for me.

    toys rus bf

You can buy some things online, but sadly not everything. I hate my tru on bf. It's a freakin madhouse.
  10. I went about 9 - 9:30 and was able to pick up everything on my list. But then my list has changed over the years and I'm not nearly as interested in the little toys as I once was. I don't think the toys were still around, but then I wasn't looking for them so maybe they were.
  11. That is very good news. This has been the only ad I've wanted something from so far.
  12. I have definitely gotten bf worthy deals online this year. Honestly this year I'm just black friday'in it because it's fun. I'm 95% done already.
  13. This would be the best ad I've seen for my holiday shopping if this is for real.
  14. I was thinking that there were different discounts as well. Oh well, I certainly won't mind 15% off on bf. I'm sure I'll find a way to put it to good use.
  15. My husband USED to hate it, but last year we travelled out of town and had to eat Breakfast Buffet. This year it was questionable whether or not I would be able to get off of work and when I came home with the good news about getting off (expecting dread to spread across his face) he was cheerful he'd get to have breakfast buffet again.
  16. Yeah no kidding. Kohl's was my favorite stop last year. I loved it so much I came back after I was done with my other shopping because I kept thinking of deals I just should have picked up.
  17. But I will be at Sears this year too. They had quite a few things on my wish list and I'm reasonably pleased with the prices.
  18. Makes me very happy I bought the pokemon version of the ds at TRU when they had that great sale. I got a game, an accessory, poster, skins, pokemon movie and the pokemon version ds for my pokemon obsessed son for pretty much the same price as that bundle. All without having to duke it out or sweat about not getting the ONE item the child wants this year. Yes, very very happy.
  19. I have to ask, is this one going to have enough memory for my gamer son? I want to buy one of these great deals, but dh is worried that it won't have enough memory for the kid and we'll end up having to upgrade soon. Any thoughts? Should I buy this one, or hold off and buy the next version up?
  20. This year we are making frozen cookie balls and putting them in stockings I picked up for a nickel a piece at the after Christmas sale last year. I'm thinking both boys can help me make the cookie dough, and when my family takes the cookie balls home they can bake up as many or as few of the cookies as they wish at a time.
  21. I'm watching for this as well.
  22. #1 If you're watching my kids so I can shop bf, it's guaranteed I'm going to try my darnedest to pick up anything you want on BF. #2 My goal is usually to buy Christmas presents for others on BF, but if there's something I see that I want for me, odds are good Santa's going to put it under the tree as well. Sadly this year I'm not sure if I'll be able to shop on BF or not. It's starting to look more like it, but I won't know until BF gets closer.
  23. This was a great deal. I got the limited edition pokemon pack with a pokemon game and pokemon accessory. My pokemon obsessed boy is going to LOVE this. $148.
  24. I did too. We ended up buying a gameboy sp because we had additional items we had to buy at the last minute, but this year I HAVE to get the ds this year. They had a great deal at Toys R Us a few weeks ago where if you bought the Pokemon ds and a game you got $15 off + a couple of Pokemon movies?!? I'm fuzzy on the specifics. It was basically about the same deal they had last year bundled up for the nintendogs/zelda bundle only slightly better with the movies. I am very sorry to say I missed out on the deal.
  25. Why can't you avoid taking children? While I admittedly have an unhealthy obsession with Black Friday there is no way in heck I'd take my kids out that morning. It's simply not safe and there is nothing THAT urgent or important that I would have to take the kids out for. I may WANT to go bf shopping, but I don't HAVE to go black friday shopping. If you need to shop bf to save money, shop ahead - there are plenty of deals before black friday that don't involve getting your head knocked off. Or pay a few bucks more, put less under the tree and keep your kids safe.
