So far I'm pretty pleased - I'll be headed to Sears, Walgreens, and Office Max. I can't wait to see what the big boys want to show us.
-
I'll be going to pick up a couple of the dog beds. I snagged one last year and was pleased, so I think I'll pick up two this year.

It wasn't in my Sunday paper, although a dfferent target ad was.

When it says temporarily not available online, does that mean it stands a chance of being available while it's still on sale? Or am I just out of luck? Because I found something on sale that I've been watching for quite a while. I'm too far away from a b&m toysrus to try to print out the page and get the price instore.

I understand what you are saying, and in general, I have always agreed with this. That's exactly why I've always hesitated to pick one up. Department store cards (even with zero balances) can have a HUGE impact on your credit, and you may not even realize it at all. At this point in my life though, I really have no need for "credit", and the good outweighs the bad - in this particular instance. Mostly because 1. I regularly shop at Kohl's and 2. there are some discounts I haven't been able to get because I didn't have a card. Case in point - A couple of weeks ago I went and bought the kids winter coats and wasn't eligible for Kohl's cash because I didn't have a card. Even though I spent well over $100. So you aren't ALWAYS eligible for Kohl's cash without a card, just sometimes. Yesterday I went and got a Kohl's card and was eligible for 15% off. Since I had a rather large purchase, I appreciated the little bonus.

Hmmm.... I saw this ad last night, and didn't realize the sale wasn't supposed to start until Nov 4th. I went down and picked up the $9.88 boots for the boy - so apparently they've already got the stuff in stock. Go figure.

Do they ever have any deals for opening an account? I'm just wondering, because now I've finally decided to go on ahead and get one, but I'd like to get the best possible deal. If they only randomly offer an incentive, I want to make sure I sign up when they're offering it.

sephora 75% off sale + free shipping no min.

THANK YOU!!! I just picked up quite a few things for my niece's Christmas present - $10 shipped! She's going to think I'm the cool aunt. -
That's been my experience as well.

I don't have a card, and I KNOW I've gotten the $10 on $50 before, but yesterday I went to Kohl's and they had that promotion running, but in order to qualify for it you had to have a card. So either they've changed something, or it's hit or miss. I'm finally starting to consider getting one, I've never been one for store cards, but I shop Kohl's often enough I'm starting to see I'm missing out on some additional savings.

I agree - ds would really like to get some new movies, but I keep holding back waiting for bf to pick him up some.

BF and the Economy - Are you finding alot of things on sale already?
delphernina replied to len_mullen's topic in 2007
I was listening to the news on the radio yesterday, and it was stated that this September was the worst September in five years for JC Penney's. They've dropped their financial forecasts for the year because of it. It really makes me wonder what this poor economy is going to do for our bf shopping experience. -
We eat leftovers then dh and I usually wrap all of our non-Santa presents. That pretty much fills the tree, since we are generally about 95% done with Christmas shopping by then. We then lay around the house napping off and on and watching the kids go nuts-o sneaking peaks under the tree trying to figure out what they've got!

My 6 yo has both, and he really dislikes his vsmile?!? But LOVES his leapster. We finally caved and got him a gamecube - he really really didn't like the vsmile at all. I thought the games were rather crappy personally. Just shows there are different strokes for different folks!

Based on last years ads, what will be your first stop this year?
delphernina replied to cherry33778's topic in 2007
I'm going wherever there is a PSP for a reasonable (ie I can afford it) price. -
Our Toys R Us has 20% off clearance. I was able to pick up gobs and gobs of spongebob foam stickers that were clearanced priced .98 but for some reason rang up .10 and clearanced down to .08. I also picked up a PSP starter kit with charger, case, yadda yadda yadda for 5.34, and 2 PSP games for $8 and $10. And one of the Simpsons movies for $4. This sale definitely helped hammer out some Christmas presents.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
delphernina replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I'll start watching for that Lego's set. My target is always way behind everyone else's sales and I'm really keeping an eye out for Lego's for Christmas. -
Immediately upon reading the title of this thread I thought of Grandma got run over by a reindeer. (man, that even made me ill just to type it!) Apparently, I'm not alone!

The better question, my dh would tell you - is what DON'T I want. Apparently he believes I'm "high maintenance". I disagree of course.

The Black Friday boards are getting starting earlier every year!
delphernina replied to EliteABombAZ's topic in 2007
Is that even possible? -
This is my 6th year bf shopping, and my 3rd year at this board.

I usually wear a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, and a lightweight fleecy jacket. The layers help keep me warm, but I can always peel something off if I start getting hot. I've been lucky though and have never spent too much time waiting outside. I never carry a purse, I just keep all the important stuff in my front pocket, and/or with my big burly dh. I always bring all the ads so I can pricematch (can you tell I usualy hit walmart first?) and sometimes, I'll stuff a granola bar or two in my jacket along with a diet coke. Can't think of anything else offhand.

Fake prelit - I can't stand the mess. That and I'm terrified of fires.
