2001 I was stupid enough to take my newborn with me because I didn't want to leave him at home for my husband to take care of. I learned a lot of things that year. I learned that A. it was not a good idea to take a newborn shopping in the germ factory that was black Friday, B. Carts suck and with a newborn there was just no other option and C. it was a great way to afford Christmas for two little kids. After that I was hooked. It's been progressively getting less fun as my children "age out" of Christmas and as I have more money and have less need of the deals.

They can start slashing prices any day now. I could use some deals.

I get nervous somehow I won't get what I want. I think that's why it's so addictive.

I skip the line at Kohls and order online!

Anymore I've been able to do the majority of my bf shopping online. Why fight the crowds if I can get everything I want from the comfort of my home. With Amazon, I'm usually able to get 75% of what I was going to pick up brick and mortar before the sale starts.

Is it pathetic that I'm spending the afternoon looking at old ad scans?

I do whatever makes sense at that particular store. I have gift cards from Walmart so I'll use those. Kohl's usually gets a chunk of my money but I always use my card with them to get the most out of savings. Of course I pay it back right away. I use my debit with Amazon. Those are my big three black Friday spots. If I get anything at Sears I use my Sears card because I usually have points and I always like to earn and use them.

Same thing happened to me. My son just begged me to get him a PS4 for Christmas.

Except my dh is pretty good with me buying my own presents because that just cuts down on his "workload" at Christmas time.

I'm tempted by the fire for myself although I had planned on getting an ipad mini 2 for a replacement of my current fire. The thing is, I really use my fire for reading 90% of the time. I NEVER play games, watch movies, listen to music on it. I do pop on and off facebook and sometimes do basic searches on my fire but that's about it. I'm thinking an ipad mini will be overkill for my needs/wants and I'm tempted by the ultra cheap price of the kindle fire.

This year I'm definitely looking for earbuds, fun socks, iTunes gift cards, and flavored coffee.

I'm definitely starting to get excited. It seems like about mid October every year my world starts revolving around this site. I'm at that point where I'm starting to get concerned about things I buy...will it be cheaper on bf? Or should I grab it while I can...

There are certain things I wait until bf to buy. Specifically I always buy bras and pajamas on bf. These aren't treats but what I consider must haves that I simply get at a price that is hard to beat the entire rest of the year.

I'm no fan of Black Thursday.

I've very rarely had issues with rude people. For the most part I have fun with the people around me on bf. I think it's worse since they moved their hours up to Thursday though. Maybe people are still tired from all the Thanksgiving festivities. I think just the mass crowd factor makes it less fun. I honestly find myself bf shopping less and less since it's become more of a black thursday affair.

I may have a Christmas wedding to contend with so I won't be spending a ton but I've been shopping here and there for months so it will be ok if I don't find the best deals ever.

I sure hope I can get a small(ish) tv for my nephew this year. If I can pull it off for around $100 that would be great!

I'm looking for a gaming chair for my son, a small tv and dvd player for my nephew, and an ipad for myself. My dh always finds tools he needs to have.

I've been picking up odds and ends as I see them on sale. I haven't gotten super serious, but I've got a good start. At this point if it's not dramatically reduced in price I'm not interested. There's plenty of time.

Got my shirt and goodies today! Love it! Will be wearing it on Thursday!

I'm frustrated. I don't think I'm cut out for this late night online shopping. I just want to go to bed, but I really would like to pick up a few things before I do.
