  1. I found some great deals on boys underwear last Saturday when I went. I usually buy the boys new underwear along with their new school clothes in August. With the clearance prices I scooped up enough underwear I can check that off my list. They were 5 pair for $4.
  2. It's really that good. I had one for a year, my house burnt down and I replaced it with the oral B one, because I was too cheap to buy another sonicare. Used the oral b one for a year before I broke down and picked up another sonicare. I love my sonicare.
  3. When does Walmart start the 50% off sale for Christmas goods? I'd really like to pick up some things, but I'm not sure what time I should get there. They don't have a lot of what I'm looking for instock, so I'm concerned about waiting until the morning. Do they mark down at midnight? Or just some random time during the wee hours of Dec 26th?
  4. WOW! That's great! I saw this at Sears this weekend, but they wanted $16.99, I was a bit bummed because while ds would love this - I wasn't up to paying that much for a Christmas movie. I like .99 a whole lot better.
  5. I gotta say I agree 100% wiith what you are saying. We got to Kohl's at 3:00 but were unwilling to brave the cold so we sat in the car waiting until the line was pretty much in before we even got out. I got in at the tail end of the line. It just wasn't fair to barge in on people who had shivered in the cold. And the babies - we saw a newborn out there in the 20 degree weather. Several shoppers - myself included were quite vocal about how horrible that was to not only expose that baby to the freezing cold, but to the huge amount of germs that had to be floating about.
  6. We went to Kohl's twice Friday, once at 4 when they opened up - lines were long but not too bad, I picked up everything I *had* to have, but missed out on the gba games. Went back later because my dh wanted to look at their leather jackets again after seeing what everyone else was offering and although it was noon - the lines were worse than they were in the morning. This time I stuck my dh in line and was able to dig around the store to get some crazy deals on clothes for myself. Something I had not done earlier because I was waiting in line while dh shopped. Oh, and by the time they opened up at 4 there were probably at least a 1000 people even though it was frigid cold. We waited in the car until the end of the line got almost to the door and then got out. Kohl's will continue to be my first stop from now on. ESPECIALLY if they keep doing the 4 am thing, I got out of there in plenty of time to go walk into Best Buy at opening and then to Target at opening.
  7. I'm on the opposite side of the fence with Kohl's right now, this was my first year bf shopping at Kohl's and I gotta tell ya, I'll never miss it again! This was the only store I was able to get everything I wanted at. The line was long, but it went smoothly, someone came along offering us bottled water and candy, the employees were super nice. Yep, I was completely impressed with Kohl's. It was the highlight of my bf experience.
  8. hmmm.... I wonder if the pj's are out? The 100% cotton character pj's are seriously the only thing I'm interested in. $5 a great price for those. Not a great enough price to fight bf crowds however.
  9. No kidding. I don't think I would ever feel comfortable having them in my house. I need to return a set we already bought ds for Christmas.
  10. I just got off the phone with toysrus.com. I am so stinkin' irritated. Even though they are labeled "ALL DAY DEALS" I am being told that they are really not going to be available until 5:00. AND, noone could tell me if they were ALL gameboy advance games, or just the ones pictured. To top it all off, they only have 1 of the games pictured even available online. I'm incredibly frustrated - I really wanted to pick up some of those games for ds.
  11. Kind of frustrated - I just got off the phone with ToysRus.com, and got pretty much nowhere with them. I was specifically asking about the 50% off gameboy advance games that are according to the ad - "ALL DAY DEALS". Well, they're not available at the sales price until 5 pm. AND she's not sure if it's all the games, or just the ones pictured BUT only one of the games pictured is actually available online. She suggested I drive to my nearest ToysRus and check them out there. Um.... ToysRus is an hour away from me, it would cost me more in gas than I would save buying the stupid games. I think I'll pass thanks.
  12. Except SOMETIMES you do need a card. Before I got my card I had shopped at Kohl's and NOT QUALIFIED for the Kohl's cash because I didn't have a card. I had ALSO shopped Kohl's without a card and gotten Kohl's cash. It just depends.
  13. Another thread got me thinking..... I'm trying to decide what time to go wait at Target, and another poster said it depended on whether or not what you are wanting is a "HOT ITEM". Of course, I'm clueless to what is "HOT". I want several things, but most importantly to me are the PSP with 5 movies, and the mommy mewborn twins set. Of course I want to pick up a few movies and possibly a pj set or two - but my "gotta haves" are the psp and mommy set. So what are you going to Target to get, and what do you consider a "HOT ITEM"?
  14. It doesn't look like they have ANY of the gameboy advance games 50% off - even the ones pictured. What's up with that?!? I'd really like to pick up a few games for the boy.....
  15. My son is 6 yo, and has had a leapster for 2 years, and is ready to move up in the gaming world. We debated heavily between a ds and a sp. In the end, we opted for the gameboy advance micro. Mostly because of the price - $50 at our wm, and the fact that there are plenty of available games for him. Yes, yes, I see that I will have to upgrade him (probably next year) to a ds, but the micro was $70 cheaper than the ds AND, all the games we buy him for the micro will play on the ds when we do upgrade. $70 will buy quite a few games.... for us, it was a no brainer. WM online has games priced $20 in a b&m, 2 for $20.
  16. The only thing I was interested in were the $5 1-00% cotton character jammies, and dh said there was no way we were fighting WM for $5 jammies. I don't know, if after all our shopping is said and done I still have the energy, I'll run by WM and see if there are any pj's left. I'll sift through the leftovers, otherwise - like others - this will be my first year wm won't be my first stop.
  17. I don't know, it seems like a good enough ad - I just don't really need anything in it lol. My kids are so close to being done I'm thankful that I don't have to fight toys r us this year. I will ask a girlfriend who will undoubtably be shopping tru to look for that doodlebug but that would do me just fine.
  18. My local walmart is run a little differently. They pull out their pallets early enough, but they have black wrap on them until it starts getting close to time. If you show up early enough, employees are always willing to show you where everything is, and they include a handy little map. You can't put any doorbuster in your cart until 5 am, but if it's not a doorbuster, its fair game to put it in your cart prior to that. That being said, last year we went to a different wm in another town since our wm decided it wouldn't price match and it was sooooo disorganized. They were literally trying to find room to put their pallets out at a quarter till 5. It was a horrible shopping experience, and I now understand why people are put off by bf. Up until last year, I had always had nothing but positive experiences on bf.
  19. Trip 'em and let the crowd trample 'em. Ok maybe not. Mostly I just suck it up and deal, and try to help out my new and true friends I met who actually stood in line with me.
  20. I agree 100% with this. No way they need to rely on us.
  21. I haven't seen any either. I picked up a few games this summer when target had their great clearance for $4 a piece. I'm still thinking walmart will have something. They usually have SOMETHING leapfrog. Good luck.
  22. My question is, which deal is better? Can we have a thread similar to the laptop, digital camera, etc. threads to review the tracphone, net 10 etc. deals? My 12 yo wants a cell phone in the worst way and there is NO way I'm putting him on my line. I'd rather get him a pay as you go phone, and there seem to be many inexpensive offers for bf this year. Problem is, there seem to be so many it's hard to pinpoint actual costs of minutes and such. Any suggestions on which is the best deal long term? They all seem pretty cheap. :)
  23. I see you're from Missouri.... hopefully you're at a local Kohl's. That would be awesome if I could get in Kohl's at 4.
