  1. I get them mailed to me free - but then, I've made orders from them within the last year. I know my mil gets cards mailed to her that allow her to pick them up from the store for free. I'm not sure why I get the actual catalog and she gets the cards for the free catalog though.
  2. I usually shop for other people - but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Of course, I get what's on my list first unless they are needing something that is liable to go fast, and then I'm usually picking up 2 - one for me, and one for someone else. My niece used to shop BF with me, even though she didn't have kids she just went to help me. Well this year she has a newborn, and her dh always works BF, so I'll be taking care of HER this year. My mil, well, she usually only wants a couple of things, but really - she'd get hurt on BF, and she stays the night at my house on Thanksgiving so my dh can go shopping with me and we don't have to wake up the kids - so of course I'll shop for her. She's my absolute favorite person on BF morning! A girlfriend of mine usually has me pick up one or two things - but then, we swap. We go to different stores and pick up what we can for each other. For me, BF is all about teamwork - I'll even help complete strangers get what they want if I can. Since I'm usually at the front of the line, I generally can't really get past the throng anyways, so rather than fight the crowd, I help them so I have an easier path out. I've never had any problems getting everything I want on BF while still helping other people.
  3. Wow, I live more than 50 miles away from any big store except for Walmart and I've never had any problems pm'ing. I'm hoping it's just up to the individual manager, because if I can't pm I'll be driving to a larger city. It's not a huge problem, I usually travel anyway - but it's nice to be on familiar turf during the doorbuster sales. Guess I'll be talking to my local manager again this year just to make sure beforehand huh?
  4. Last year someone hit me with a Cabbage Patch Baby at Wal-mart. I had been standing there helping people get the CP they wanted and finally decided it was time I needed to get out, and someone got mad at me for not getting her the exact doll she wanted and she smacked me pretty good with it. It was not accidental. We were looking right at one another when she did it. She's actually quite lucky I was more motivated to get out of the store (and shop more sales) than deal with her, because my dh is a cop and he was in the store with me. He would have gladly called up one of his buddies to write up a report. I just didn't want to miss out on the sales. Besides, what were the chances of being able to find her after the fact?
  5. I got sidetracked and my previous post was rather choppy - I apologize. I'm really wondering if the cheaper computers would satisfy my needs AND what the difficulty will be for me to actually get them? I get up pretty early bf and I've never missed anything I actually wanted, but I've never shopped for computers before. I know that's a huge draw so...... Also, is this something I could buy online or is that not something I can/want to do?
  6. So how hard is it to actually get the cheaper computers on BF? I have 2 boys 11 and 5 and both would like a computer. Neither one of them would be doing serious gaming. The 11 yo wants a basic computer do do word and surf the internet (no need for games, we have plenty of game systems in the house) and the 5 yo would use it for Reader Rabbit type games. Very basic educational stuff. Would these cheap computers work for them?
