Go to the one by Rivertown and get there maybe 10pm or so. I know I'll be there because my husband wants a big screen TV :) And who knows, you may get some sympathy and special treatment and be able to move up to the front :)

Turkey Day leftovers pre-Turkey Day (I start my feasting tomorrow) so I can pace myself before the big day... homemade scalloped ham and potatoes, sweet potato mousse, ham soup, ham sandwiches... yum. i'll cook turkey on Turkey Day only because my husband wants it :)

I'm starting the holiday feasting tomorrow so that by the end of the week there will be no leftovers! Ham soup, pirags, ham salad, sweet potato mousse, homemade scalloped potatoes with ham...

I just got my daughter the bike she wanted so she would have it... wasn't going to take a chance of not being able to get it on BF. And so much for waiting for Christmas... her daddy brought it in and said let her ride it in the house!

Stupid question about kids toothbrushes

if they have them for regular adult ones then they should for kids' ones too. I only use the regular kind, though. -
When kids say something rude..how do you respond??
pogiporkchop replied to momof5plus1hubby's topic in 2006
Right now mine are all right when I tell them what they want can be added to their Santa wish list. Only occasionally do they start whining when they want something and can't have it. If they want to have a fit then i just let them have it and tell them that everyone is looking at them and not me... and then they lose a privilege or treat (if they know of it in advance). Mine are young, though, so I know I have plenty to look forward to -
I agree with everyone else who said everyone should be in agreement and be present at the selection of the lucky pet. I don't have any animals in my home now, and I'm not sure if I will (not because I don't like them - I love animals) because of the money and time they require. Who knows what will happen in the future, though.

I hope there's a bit more to the ad than this. I'm sure we'll see it posted here quickly.

Soo tell us your shopping plans?? For the Big Day?
pogiporkchop replied to momof5plus1hubby's topic in 2006
Now that I have a Meijer ad I can start making plans. Definitely going there and Kohl's for starters.... -
I usually like to do one big baking beginning of December aside from the time I bake peppercookies, which are time consuming but well worth the effort if done correctly. I only make peppercookies at Christmas, just like my grandma used to.

I think this expresses my sentiments well :)
-
Usually an hour at most since my husband thinks it's insane to wait any longer, but since we moved an hour away from town I think I'll be leaving my house a whole lot earlier than 3:45
-
As many as I can, especially since my husband doesn't have to work on BF!

$100 have to spend 8yo boy & 2yd girl

I think you have two very lucky kids :) If it has to be a single toy then I'm going to have to give this some more thought... -
It varies year to year, but this is a much better for me and my family so the kids will see a few more. They each get the same number plus a stocking. I may do one or two more expensive items as joint gifts this time, since they both like a lit of the same things. My good fortune also means I'll be able to share more this year with the less fortunate and I'm especially happy about that :)
-
It may very well be mine too! :)
-
Kohl's may be my #1 favorite stop this year:)
-
In reference to the cops portion (since it's in caps like the TV show), they could make a special out of BF events. Now that would make for an interesting watch... (BTW, I agree with having cops there!)
-
What a great idea... maybe I'll try that too.
-
You can take towels and the like and wrap everything inside.
-
I cast my vote for the coffee... maybe you could put the coffees in a small sewing basket.
