  1. I just had a dream last night about sleeping through BF... maybe because I had a solid night's sleep for the first time in a very long time!
  2. Can I have that recipe please?
  3. I think I'll be spending a fair bit of $$ at Macy's this year! :)
  4. Use it instead of confetti at a party... easy to clean up and the critters outside get a treat from the party as well! :)
  5. Dear Santa, I know a lot of people will be writing very interesting letters to you for the Logitech io2 Digital Pen Digital Writing System, but I will only make a simple request. I would like to give this to someone who could really use it, and I promise if I do win this I will let GottaDeal know to whom or where it went and (if possible) send a picture. Please consider my simple request :) PogiPorkChop :)
  6. Can we still send you Christmas cards? I'd like to send you one and don't expect anything in return :)
  7. I just sent my "feedback." Doubt that I'll get any kind of reply but they have my two cents anyhow.
  8. I just got a sure-fire way to keep my spending to a minimum... hubby said we are able to pay our mortgage off so that's what we're going to do :) However I'm waiting to see what kind of shopping list he comes up with for me...
  9. If I was in your neck of the woods I'd be volunteering my services to you! :) There's no point in me cooking a huge dinner for my family because we don't have any relatives near us who come to visit. Heck, I'm not even sure I'll cook a whole turkey this year because we won't eat it all... But I'll try to find some good recipes too and send them to you!
  10. I usually use the same amount of $$ for each and get the same # of gifts (stockings are generally identical in filler). Mine are 6 and 4 so it's not hard right now, but they understand about why we celebrate the holiday and that some are not as fortunate as they are.
  11. Looks like it's just a minimum of $5 before shipping and has to be new so I guess that means you buy it... but for whoever gets my name if you like making ornaments then I would like receiving them! :)
  12. Speaking of ornaments, I went to Hobby Lobby tonight and they have a very nice selection. Going in there put me into the holiday spirit real quick!
  13. I don't know how much longer I can wait...
  14. That sounds exactly like something my grandma would have done! Years ago when I was in college I participated in a white elephant exchange... I got a huge orange hand mirror, and my contribution was a glass cowboy boot shaped mug with homemade fudge stuck inside. The person who got it actually liked it.
  15. I think you're supposed to buy them but I would enjoy getting a nice homemade one myself :)
  16. i also can't believe how big the lists are getting :)
  17. and I may be going to get my ornament(s) this weekend from a special place... if so the person whose name I get in the exchange may figure out quickly that it's from me! :)
  18. If I had a ticket and changed my mind after getting it I would give to the first person behind me who really wanted it. It's about the true spirit of the season :)
  19. wow... it's a big list already. I wonder how big it will be come November...?
  20. I think it's a great idea too. Your two youngest could be responsible for their younger one and your oldest for theirs. I'd probably go with the themed basket idea myself, and will likely do so for my brother who has run into some problems recently because of a health issue. Hearing stories like this remind me to be thankful for what I have and to try and do a little extra something for someone in need if I can manage it.
  21. Cocoa, if you would like to exchange with me I'd be happy to do so :) I'm already doing the exchange but I love mailing packages!
  22. I opened a second checking last month to use for specific things and have been putting lottery winnings into it. The way it's been going i'm going to have a fun BF (especially if I keep getting $50 and up winners like I have been for the last two weeks... yesterday I won $250!) My husband is happy to provide me the money to play because I keep winning We play responsibly, though, and never spend more than we can afford. As to how much I'll spend, I have no idea since I have to send to family and friends overseas as well as buy for people over here. Ask me after the holidays :)
  23. I think making a donation to a charity in the teacher's name is a great idea. Sure, they love getting things but maybe they have too many nik-naks or might not like a food gift or maybe really don't need anything. Now if they need classroom supplies you can get a gift card or a certain item (my son wrapped a package of napkins for his DK teacher last year and she loved it =)
  24. Grand Rapids and Grandville MI here, but who knows... I may end up in Lansing too!
  25. BF means people will get hinky and commit monkeyshines to get on TV; I'd prefer wearing a luxurious GottaDeal t-shirt!
