Mmmm... I am finally enjoying my tea set (courtesy of magickallight) This is the coolest tea set I've ever seen! And the tea is tasty too. Thank you for a very unique gift that I'll be sure to enjoy all winter long! Thank you, also, to eve'smom for the beautiful ornament I received. We didn't end up putting any ornaments on the tree because DD was so fascinated by it just being lit but it was displayed and admired a great deal :)

I went to bed at 1:30, DS got up sometime between 7:30 and 8 and curled up on the couch watching cartoons loudly. I asked him if Santa had been to our house and he said no so I told him he better look at the tree. Didn't take long for him to start begging to open presents :)

Anyone else excited about day after Christmas sales?

I can't wait - DH will be going overseas to visit his family in a couple of weeks so I need to stock up on chocolate (for our nephews) at the very least! -
I'm kind of curious as to how many haven't gotten their gifts and/or ornaments... it's just plain rotten that so many aren't getting their holiday cheer! Will we get to see who has flaked out? Merry Christmas and happy new year to all! :)

I haven't been able to finish the kids' shopping because I"m sick, but DH just got a plane ticket to visit his family overseas next month :)

If (and I heavily stress IF) I'm feeling well enough (wouldn't you know I've come down with whatever super virus is going around the kids' school) I may attempt a batch of cookies. First one would have to be grandma's peppercookies - those are a tradition with us :)

A get out of jail free card.... hahahaha....

I vote for replacing them with HBA items hahaha... My kids, 6 and 4, have seen everything I've bought so far. However, they think it's all for their cousins overseas. I did this last year too and they don't question me. If this can last for another year or two I would love it!

I got my ornament the other day (and some candy to boot)... beautiful ceramic one that says peace. Now I need to put it up before DD manages to break it! :)
-
I got it at the Disney store, and it happened to be the only one like it when I got there! :)

My things - cards and all - went out yesterday. And yesterday I got my SS gift... what an awesome and unique tea set! I LOVE IT!!! Going to put it to good use today too... thanks a lot!!!

Thank goodness I don't carry a purse otherwise that would have been taken too! The notebook was the only thing in my cart, and it was closed so you couldn't tell what was inside. Just like you're scratching your head and wondering why someone would steal a notebook so am I.

Everyone who is involved with this year's exchanges PLEASE read this: Yesterday while out shopping I was the victim of a theft. The item stolen was my BF notebook - which typically wouldn't be of any importance EXCEPT it had all of my exchange information in it because I was shopping and planning to mail things (cards and packages) as they got finished so I wouldn't have to bring a ton of stuff home. Even though this was not my fault at all I feel like I should be apologizing; I feel sick about this - and sad, mad and a lot of other things I can't say on here. Instead of savoring a highly successful shopping trip and enjoying my holidays I'm going to be worrying about what happened to that notebook and wondering why someone would want to ruin my holidays. I'm hoping that the (insert word or phrase of your choice here) who took my notebook just dumped it into a garbage can but here are some ways to tell if a piece of mail came from me: 1) All mail from me will be mailed from the small town in which I live. 2) I will not use my name on the card envelopes. My cards, btw, will have a baby holding a gold star on them. 3) I never write in cursive. If you have any questions about a piece of mail that looks like it came from me then PM me and ask. And if you have any suggestions for me on what to do (I've done all the regular stuff in this case) I'd like to hear them too because I'm a mess right now.

This is the last ad I've been waiting for :)
-
I am going somewhere special to get my ornament. That is, if DH doesn't get told at the last minute that he needs to work on BF or gets called in like last year...
-
or how about a dozen, shouldn't cost a lot...
-
you could always send just one cookie and the recipe :)
-
Go to whatever city you're planning to do your shopping in - it's the only guaranteed way to get the ads you want. This is what I am doing on Thursday... driving 30 minutes to get a newpaper and even then I'll check a minimum of 3 before taking one!

Do You or Will You Do Reconnaissance On Wednesday Night?

I'm doing any remaining recon on Tuesday, when I'll have my brother to help me out with the kids. Otherwise I've already done a lot and the biggest decision is which plasma TV to get! :) -
yes, I am temporarily nuts (sick) but that's one exchange I'd gladly take charge of :) I like baking and this is the only time of year I really do anything.
-
Gee, maybe next year we should start a cookie exchange Now I'm really motivated to bake this year!
-
Send them my way if you have me! :9

yes, it's the bright green slip at the post office. Just say you want delivery confirmation at the post office and they'll take care of it :)

I like the idea of fixing up the break room. Either that or gift cards for gas included in a card with a personally written note of appreciation.... I can't imagine anyone that would complain about getting that with the price of gas being what it is, but they may just value the handwritten note of appreciation more :)

Definitely treat everyone the same. There isn't anything that I can say that hasn't already been said :)
