I cast my vote with the savings bond

Mine knows how much I'll be spending because he already gave it to me in cash. But he said I also didn't have to use it all either (I think that was supposed to be a hint).

Over here STAR 105.7 is, though not 24/7 yet. Right now it's only during the Delilah show.

With all the candy suggestions maybe I should just fill up the stockings with candy and get one gift! I'm sure my in-laws will be thanking me for getting their kids on a sugar high!

After all this talk about sending a package, turns out I likely will be flying there for New Year's! I only have nephews there, no nieces. My daughter is the only granddaughter for my MIL so having her means a lot to me. :) I do wish, though, that I had some nieces there to dote on.

it's not a military address... my husband, I'm proud to say, is Filipino I'll be shipping a large box right after BF so I know it will get there a few days after Christmas, but that's OK. ($80 for all I can fit in the box with no weight limit is a great deal!) I love the Bionicles idea, as well as all the others. Price doesn't matter to me when it comes to getting ideas so anything is welcome! Thanks for the ideas everyone!

My dad was born on Christmas Day so it's not hard for me to forget. I spend time in quiet reflection. As a family, among other things, we watch movies depicting Jesus' story and the kids are always told the Christmas story so as to be reminded of the true meaning of the season.

They ship within 10 business days, so there should be no problems if you order from them :) And that does stink about your previous orders, I'm sorry it happened to you.

I can't think of the name of the place you're looking for, but if you'd like to try getting ornaments from another place I'd like to suggest Bronner's website (bronners.com). Bronner's is the world's largest Christmas store so they should have something that would work for you :) When do you need to send your package(s) by?

I am very excited this year because I'll be able to afford to send a nice package to my husband's family in the Philippines. My problem is, I really don't know what to get (yet) because I have to take into consideration shipping costs and climate conditions. The plan is to do stockings for all of my nephews - ages 8, 6, 4, 3 and 3 - and one gift to unwrap. They all like robots right now, but I don't know what to get. They also like chocolates, any kind. Anyone have stocking stuffer ideas for this bunch? I've read other posts and have seen some good ideas in general. I also want to send something for the adults. Gift specific that would be mom, four sisters and three brothers. Then there's gift general: mom's family, neighbors and friends... Sure, I could cut back on the list but everyone is so close down there. Besides, I miss them! Most I haven't seen in six years - a few of my nephews I've never met. I'll be mailing my package the Saturday after BF, so any ideas or suggestions I get will be greatly appreciated!

Now there's nothing I like better at this time of year than to wake up and see a new ad posted! I see plenty if things that may interest my husband.

The stores open at 5 or 6 (can't remember which), so far as I know don't hand out tickets, and you should probably get there at 3 or 4 since people will be lining up for those GCs they give away. Go straight to the jewelry counter when the doors open... good luck :)

Finally, a bright spot in my day! :) Do you think the ad itself is being released or just a few of the hot deals to get us all worked up?

Any drugstore or Meijer type store will undoubtedly have them... my Meijer just put out a lot of gift sets today, in fact. I like those powder sets too :)

I like the Hershey's Kisses commercial where they are supposed to be bells in tree formation and they play "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Brings a smile to my face every time :) Also, the really old Folger's coffee one where Peter surprises the family Christmas morning... I can hear mom gasping now "Peter...!"

I like having a cart since I go shopping by myself and don't know how much I'll end up getting - and there's always something extra that's not on my list that ends up in my cart! :)

My Sunday paper didn't have one in it At least I can see it on here, and I didn't really see anything that made me want to get in there. I usually don't shop TRU but I'll wait for the BF ad and maybe something will turn up.

I have a lot of favorites too, but one I always end up singing with is Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer :)
