I usually get some at WalMart, then if I make it to JCPenney, I get the rest of them there.
-
Our WM doesn't close before BF so we get there very early so we can scope out where we think everything will be. Mostly the toys end up in main aisles or close to the toy section but normally on pallets. Unless it is something they already have in stock.

I am a sucker when it comes to my kids, so, if I bought anything before BF I would cave in and give it to them. They know ahead of time that anything bought on BF is for Christmas only so they don't bother begging for it.

No problem. I have been in the situation before to get more than one of a hard to get item and have given them to people (who are being nice and helpful) who wanted them and couldn't get them. However, there are always some really rude people who I wouldn't even let them buy one from me!!!lol:slapcry:

No problem, Susan. I shop WalMart every BF and have found that they do things randomly sometimes but I feel pretty certain that they will either hand them out like I stated or give tickets for them. Either way you should be in pretty good shape if you go to electronics and stay on them.lol

I am an old pro at BF shopping and the laptops have me worried. I think that, from experience, they will not bring them and set them out. They will probably bring them out and hand them out to people standing there waiting on them, probably in electronics. I am worried because past has taught me that they only get a very few of things like this, so you will probably have to make it top priority to get it. It's best to keep asking everytime someone new comes into the area about where and when they will bring them out. By doing that I have gotten alot of things that I normally would not have gotten. Some employees will tell you and some won't that's why it's best to keep asking.lol Hope this helps and hope you get one. I am going to do my darnedest to get one of those.

Our WalMart used to start at 6am and go through 10am, then changed to 6am until 11am. This is the first year they have gone from 5am until 11am. That is good because out of there earlier and onto other stores. Last year we got there at 3am, some of the early bird items were already out, so we got them and waited for the pallets to come out. They started bringing out pallets with other early bird items about 5:30. They unwrapped them about 10 minutes til 6. Then a few very limited items were brought out to electronics at 6. They were handed out by the person who brought them out. :banana01:

I don't want to ruin BF for myself.lol I will probably be too busy anyway since I have a major craft show the Saturday before BF.
-
I live about 2 miles from our WalMart and shopping center, so, I can actually see myself leaving early and driving about 5 miles an hour if I had to. I would probably just roll the window down and stick my head out so that I could see and worry about thawing out when I got there.lol
-
Yeah, people tend to get a little crazy, my problem is that if I am going to be in that store 3 hours early and wait and scramble to get my stuff, I am NOT going to let someone who just walked in the door snatch it.lol
-
Our WalMart has never given me a problem price matching, but, I'm not sure about the "early bird" specials.
-
WalMart is my favorite because I can get something for just about everybody there. We don't have alot of choices...WalMart, Radioshack, Hasting's, JCPenny, Sears, Big Lots, and Walgreens and CVS. That's about all that we have here, especially on BF.
-
Never heard of it here, either. But, I am in the middle of nowhere!!!!lol
-
I'm sure they will do price adjustment, the problem I have with it is that our layaway line is so long and slow on BF, I would waste all of my time in line and miss the items they will not have in stock until BF. I am wondering if they will price match other BF specials at other stores. If they will, then maybe I can get the Virgin Mobile phones at WalMart on BF, price match Radio Shack's 19.99 special, and skip Radio Shack all together and have time to go to other stores.

We have a four bedroom house so, oldest son has his own room, two girls share, and two youngest boys share. They have tvs, video games, and the oldest three have dvd players in their rooms. The two youngest boys have a vcr in their room but we will probably get them a dvd player this year. I love them all having their own, saves on fights about what to watch and when they have sleepovers, they can sleep in their rooms and not in my living room.lol I don't have a problem with them watching too much and they all have times at night that they have to be off for bed. I know what you mean, though, I got a tv in my room for the first time when I was 16. But I guess as times change...when I was little most houses only had one tv, now most people have them in every room.
-
I don't think they will have it until then, not sure. I'm not POSITIVE, but it does look alot like the one we got. Of course there are different sizes and all of that stuff that only men know, lol.

I saw that in the ad and I couldn't quite make it out, either. But I am about 99% sure it IS an air compressor because my step dad just got one and it looks an awful lot like this one. Not 100% but almost.lol

My mom and step dad are suprisingly easy to shop for. I get them something personalized every year with pictures of our families on it. For example, last year my step dad got a calendar with his kids and grankids' pictures on every month. My mom is getting a desk set this year with pictures of my kids on them.

Thanks alot!!! I have had no problem with the files. I love this!!! This helps alot. I can always tell what I want better after I see a picture.

We actually had an ice storm about 4 years ago. It was terrible, I feel sorry for those who have to suffer those things. Our WalMart had a small section roped off by the registers to sell batteries, candles, and a few food items. When their generator went out, they had to close.

My oldest son is 17, he is getting clothes, cds, games, and digital camera, maybe the laptop since he will be going away to college soon. My girls will be 12 and 13 on Christmas, they are getting clothes, cds, dvds, stereos, and digital cameras, and I will probably pick up some jewelry and make-up for them. Two youngest sons are 7 and 9, they will be getting the gameboys, games, dvds, dvd player for their room, misc. toys, and a few clothes. Right now, they are all pretty easy to buy for, but I do miss those days when I could just go to the toy section and get everyone's gifts. Oh, yeah, and my girls want the CP babies and the Care Bears/DVD combo. They still love their stuffed animals and do not play with dolls but still like them.lol My mom is getting the three oldest new cell phones and clothes for Christmas, she is still up in the air about the two youngest.lol

BF every year. I do it all in one day and get it over with. That's the only time I have to think about it. Well, that's a lie.lol I start thinking about it about the first of October.lol
-
I just always feel so much better when I can see the pics. lol It makes it all seem closer to be able to look at it as though we have the ads in our hot little hands.
-
OMG!!! I forgot about those days. I remember little old ladies getting postal over those dolls. When we got our's they had just come out and our mom ordered our's from Sear's catalog. My oldest son's grandma had a shoving match over those little razor scooters a few years ago because that was all my son wanted for Christmas. She got it, too.lol:shitfan:

I would probably walk and pull a little red wagon if I had to. lol There are certainly things that would keep me home on BF but I don't think weather would be one of them.
