I can't wait! I will definitely be there again!

My mom's tree is a nine footer, and she has me wrap each branch with lights as I put them on the tree. We usually end up putting about 2500 lights on that bugger. I am BEGGING her to buy a pre-lit.lol

This could be very bad. All of this tree talk is making me want to put it up NOW!!! But I am trying to be more self disciplined this year and not lose my mind.lol I said that I was putting it up next weekend and I am. My hubby calls it "the first step to recovery", admitting that I have a problem.lol I do, there's no denying that. Last year the kids came home from school on Nov. 1st and the tree was up, wreaths were up, and I was putting lights on the house. They were horrified!lol

I have been collecting snowman ornaments and my tree has been mostly light blu, dark blue, and white. I will still have those up on a white tree. But, I will have a green tree with traditional ornaments, lights, and colors. It just depends on what kind of ideas I have from year to year.lol:gd_not_ri

I use to, but I bought a pre-lit and now I don't have to worry about it. It took alot of joy out of putting up the tree to mess with those lights.lol

We always watch Christmas movies, then read the REAL Christmas story, and listen to Christmas music while we open gifts. Last year we started something new and I hope we keep doing it. After opening presents, we took the kids to a Living Nativity that a local church had. You just drove through the circle drive and they were playing music and it was the most touching nativity I have ever seen. And since my three oldest are all in school bands, they have started playing Christmas music for us. I love going to their Christmas concerts every year.

Since I am going to have two trees this year, I will put one in the living room and one in the den next to the fireplace. Or I may change my mind and put one in each of the large windows of the living room.

I spray the edges with the cheap snow at WM and it comes off pretty good with Windex. I also hang a small berry wreath in each window across the front of my house.

I've done that, too!lol I don't use the store bought tinsel anymore, it was just too messy to clean up. I have made some raggedy garland that I am going to use this year. I also changed my tree topper. I am working on one that is a raggedy angel hugging the top of the tree. She is coming along pretty good.

I am working on one that I hope to finish tomorrow. It's pretty big. I have been working on Christmas stuff since May.lol I started creating my on patterns and ideas because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted.

I haven't yet but I am hoping to soon. I sell in a store here, local craft shows, and am trying to get a site together.

I have been wanting to get some decorations sort of like the ones that my grandparents used when I was little. I found a big box of the old kind of lights at a garage sale for $5.00. It has about 13 strings of lights in it and they ALL worked! I also bought a box of 48 BIG candy canes for the yard at the same sale for $5.00. I got lucky that day. The older lights, big colorful bulbs, are so pretty to me, but the ones WM has now just don't seem to be the same as the old ones. I am having two trees this year, yeah! I found a white one that I had to have, so I'll put all of my snowman decorations on it and I'll put all of the home made ornaments on the green one. BTW, I sold my first original Christmas pattern this week so I am so happy. (shameless plug, I know!lol)

I get so anxious this time of year because I want to decorate now!!! But hubby and kids just make me promise not to do it before Halloween. I know a few of my dollmaking friends have year around trees. They just decorate them for whatever holiday is coming up. If I had room for that I probably would do it, too.lol

This girl is really good. She just laughs at the kids and keeps on working. If they weren't mine, I wouldn't want to deal with all of that just to take their picture!lol

Oh, yeah and the other part of the question, I usually do that the second week of November but may do it next week because they have been getting really busy.

I always take mine to WM, not only for the price, but the girl who is usually there has been there for a long time and she is really good. Trust me, if she can get the 7 and 9 year olds to be still and not hit or pull hair, while the 17 year old is saying how stupid it is that he still has to do this, and the girls 12 and 13 are arguing that one has the others belt on, she's good!!!

Well, I spent today going through lights and inflatable yard decorations to see what needed to be replaced. Luckily nothing did. I will be re-arranging furniture tomorrow and getting the house ready. Then I will put everything up next weekend inside the house. The week of BF I will put up all of the yard decorations.

My daughter!!! She's a Christmas Eve baby, and without a doubt my best gift ever!!!

I love questions like this. They give me a chance to talk about Christmas!!! On Christmas Eve we have daughter's b/d party in the afternoon, then snack trays and lite dinner, then Christmas music, movies, and the REAL Christmas story, then open gifts from each other. Then Christmas morning we get Santa gifts which are carefully set up in five groups,lol, then a really big dinner!!! Then it's family time for just hubby, kids, and me to just enjoy each other and talk about favorite things we did. I can't wait!!!

I have never had bf withdrawals. I love bf but I start getting anxious around the end of September, but talk about it all year. I love any sale, if it's good enough but I have certain ones that really get me excited. For example, after Christmas sales, winter clothes clearances, spring clearances, summer clearances, I guess I sort of see a pattern forming here, lol!!!
