  2. Yep, I saw them at a different local sort of store and that is how I found out about them. Now we just look online and buy the ones we want. Complete selection! They are also based out of Iowa where the floods were so are a smaller company that seems to be really great at customer service. Occasionally when we have ordered, they send a free 3pk of socks just because.
  3. My dd is 14 and loves www.littlemissmatched.com They have toe socks, knee highs, anklets, shorter socks, gloves, slippers, shirts etc....I even have some of their socks...and the best thing I think is that you get 3 so if one gets a hole in it, you have another. Oh and all of my dd's friends love www.pre-wrap.com They use it as headbands.
  4. I think that UPS is probably aware of his issues...at this level, he probably cannot hide them. So I would let that resolve itself. Perhaps he will get away with it, but I really doubt that....but of course I have been wrong before!
  5. I personally would not complain. If, after what happened, he had the outburst he did, I probably would just leave it. You complained, he came to your place of business. If you complain again, he could get fired or re assigned...both would probably be worse for him and you would have to deal with what he did in that case. Wouldn't be worth it to me.
  6. Are they "dating"? Are they considered a "couple"? I ask because you mentioned "friend" and maybe he would find it weird to get a gift from your dd...or would feel weird if your dd gave him a more personal gift. The gift would depend on how close they were and how much feelings were reciprocated. And if they were close, what ideas does your dd have?
  7. Did you look at Hot Topic online? They have quite a few t's and there is a current thread with a $10 off code for online. I just looked this am and I swear I saw Edward....Unfortunately it is about $5 to ship but you still get $5 off! I almost ordered my dd another...but she already has 3 or 4 of them and I thought maybe that was enough... LOL
  8. There may be a number here to call and ask about local shops in your area: http://www.belgianblends.com/home.jsp ****looked further...no number but does add the bit about Coca-Cola so Becca's idea was spot on, to check with Coke bottler in your area if you cannot find them.
  9. My kids haven't believed for years. I think my son was about 3-4 and my dd was only 1-2. My son asked and I didn't see any need to "lie". We still enjoy Santa, leaving cookies and a drink out, we enjoy the Season immensely. At the time, and I have never regretted it, I saw no reason to perpetuate the myth of Santa by lying to my kids. So...what did my kids do when others believed? They just smiled and nodded along. No one ever asked them if they believed. Occasionally they were asked what they got from Santa and because they understand that the myth of Santa was that he gave gifts, they said a gift they got. I never asked them to lie about whether there was a Santa or not because Santa isn't really a person, it is an idea of goodness and love. I always explained to my kids that some like to believe that there is a jolly fat man that makes lists and gives gifts and that is their belief. My kids never had an issue with it at all. I also did some research and found out info about Santa, St. Nick, and other traditions and shared it with the kids. We also are Christians so we emphasized the Birth of Christ. We talked about it all and I always explained that it is not our place to take away a tradition from other families. And as far as I know, my kids never did. It is interesting, because when my young son asked me, and the way he asked me, I found it very hard to lie to him. To outright drag out a story to cover what he wanted to know. The funny thing is, because he was so young, even tho I told him the truth, he didn't really understand. Their comprehension is limited at young ages and although we always told him there was no Santa, he would see a Santa in the mall and say that he wasn't real because the real Santa was someplace else. As my son grew, he began to comprehend more and we have never regretted telling the truth. We also always explained to our kids that our family was special and that sometimes it was best not to share everything we do at home with other families. The main reason we did this was because we didn't want them to share our thoughts on Santa/Tooth Fairy etc with other kids and have their parents upset. I personally think you can have it all...you can have the wonder and beauty of Christmas without a fat jolly guy climbing down your chimney.
  10. Target stopped price matching a while ago. They will price adjust according to their rules items you purchased at their stores, but they never price match.
  11. If she is going to download any movies, may even consider it, may think it cool etc, I would go with the 16 GB. I have a teenager...it seems that the there is never enough for all they would want...
  12. You can always send e cards if you do not get a few physical addys.
  13. Perhaps we could give this guy an award for stating the obvious. Of course the store didn't have enough security. Of course the store could have done more. HOWEVER, at any time, those waiting for the deals could have left. Instead, most of these people in this "mob" continued shopping and getting irate when the store closed for a while. Everyone deserves plenty of blame. IMO, the mob mentality took over here and there was little AT THE TIME that Walmart could do to stop it. In the long run, all stores can prevent this. They can hand out tickets, make orderly ropes, hire security. But they cannot control, ever, those that get that crazy.
  14. Naive and innocent? If one was logical about all of this, one would realize that there obviously are only limited quantities. In point of fact, most ads state just that, LIMITED QUANTITIES. Secondly, of course business care first and foremost about making profits. How else can one remain in business if one doesn't make a profit. Perhaps the government can bail out one more entity. The problem is and always has been that when given the chance and even when not given the chance, some will do things that are not allowed, not admirable and may result in great personal harm. People hurt one another on Halloween because they have the ability to cloak themselves. People also do things they normally would not do when they have too much to drink. I think society does as much as possible in most cases. Could Walmart have done more? Probably. But let's face facts....the mob killed this person. But go ahead, blame Walmart. Next year they will have less deals because they feel the need to have more and more security and less and less deals.
  15. I looked Honeybaked Ham up on the internet and looked up their turkey varieties. Then I clicked on a Smoked turkey breast, requested pick up for yesterday, dropped by the store, paid for it and put it in my frig. Tomorrow, we will warm up both ham and turkey and enjoy!

    Shopko ?

BTW...if you happen to be in the stores, they are really getting stuff out. Of course no prices but when I walked through this morning, it was a bit difficult to walk through the aisles with all the stuff they had stacked throughout the store.
  20. It has to load...give it a few, depending on your computer.

  22. Santa was on Atkins one year so he got meat sticks and a diet soda.
  23. My son loved and still has his Brio. (He is now 16) We bought a generic version and it did sort of work with the Brio but you could tell that the Brio was a nicer quality and stayed together better. http://brio.knex.com/customer/home.php?cat=378
  24. I think that if they are noticing that, then perhaps Santa is just seen as a big gift giver and doesn't include the beauty of the Season.
  25. Exactly. Although through the year when I have no time and want a fix, I will reach for either Cool Whip or Reddi Whip. Nothing beats real whipped cream.
