Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010
Gator Pam replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
This would be my guess for those stores that do usually mark down Toys on Thursdays and may have fallen behind. I would suggest if you can, to try and do a recheck around 2:00 or 3:00 this afternoon... -

If the schedule hasn't changed since I put together the post on the first page years ago, luggage tends to be marked down on Thursdays. But I have not verified the daily schedule in a long time. Does anyone have any more recent information of the accuracy of the departmental markdown schedule? -

I was not feeling well today, so this is the first I got in to the forums today. I skimmed and formatted some posts for autolisting, but did not take the time to note the names of the new posters I noticed here today. So, an overall "Welcome to the GottaDeal Forums!!" shout out to those who posted for the first time today. I look forward to hearing of your finds. :) -

OK... so dates for the first signs of 2009 Chr-stmas clearance is...? (that would include yesterday's post of one store going to 90% in the afternoon) If anyone has them compiled for previous years, I would love them all in one post to edit in to the first post. Thanks! -

Agreed. I am hoping whomever is keeping track will post the dates for 2007-2009 all in one post once we know the date the stores go 90% off. I feel it will be handy to compare the years. When I edit it in, I will probably include the days of the week as well for each year. So we can see if there is any sort of pattern. -

*just sticking my head in to say a quick thanks to all following the formatting for listing found deals* http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/rich-tehrani/uploads/thanks.jpg -
Same here, still 50% at both CVS and Walgreens. Does anyone know which small appliances may be following the Chr-stmas clearance? I got an egg poacher and toaster (same manufacturer as the Paula Deen one, but without her name on it) a couple of years ago for $7.xx at 75% off, and a chocolate fountain last year at 75% off. I'm hoping to stumble upon similar finds this year.

aaah, keep in mind that schedule is for the Chr-stmas clearance, which runs different from the toy clearance... -

hmm... So Monday for 75% off and either Friday or Saturday for 90% off in 2007, when Chr-stmas fell on Tuesday, and Tuesdays for both 75% and 90% off in 2008, when Chr-stmas fell on Thursday. Sounds like 75% off could start almost any day this upcoming week then. I think if they will price adjust, it will be done with only a receipt. If they won't price adjust, see if you can find the items at the reduced price, buy them, then go directly to guest services and return them with the higher priced receipt. -
Your family is gorgeous. Looks like a fabulous time is being had by all! ...no camera or camera phone here.

Ooo... I had not scrolled down on the first page, and did not realize a summary of what is on perimeterperusing.com is there. I can now edit that post as well. I believe that post did not auto-list; I assume Brad basically cut and pasted. Will do the same as I remember. Thanks for pointing that out to me, peifgirl! ~*~edit~*~ Oh, now that's cool. All I had to do was click on "Edit" and it did automatically update... -

Coolness. As I said, you don't have to have the DCPI or UPC or anything to post to the perimeterperusing.com list; I would rather the item as being seen on clearance with no further details if they are not known be posted, then to have it here and not auto list. I hope I didn't offend by going in and editing your post as an example. It was the first one after I said I was going to be doing so to future posts so as much gets auto listed from this sub-forum as possible, and it worked well to illustrate the difference between the formatting to auto list and not. :) -

Quoting to show how you originally posted, so when I edit you can compare. As entered above, this is what is showing on perimeterperusing.com: I am hoping once I go in and edit, that everything you listed will show up... In answer to your question, I think the UPC is what is under the bar code and the DCPI is what is on the receipt. ...but it has been a long time since I've done this. Anyone else who wants to jump in that may be more up to date, feel free. ~*~edit~*~ And now reformatted, this is what is appearing on perimeterperusing.com: :) -

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l204/GatorPam/icq-blush.gif Thanks! Yeah, I was afraid they would, hence the (not an actual deal...) in the listing. If there is a way to demonstrate the format without that happening, I need to learn how. hmm... I wonder if a sticky thread in the subforum can be generated that "pimps" the site? -

um... Hey everyone. I guess this is my first post as the new moderator for this sub-forum. I don't plan on doing anything too blatant, except for one little thing... When I returned to the site, I was surprised to learn that perimeterperusing.com was generated from the posts here. There used to be another site that did similar with Target clearance, and the posts there generated a similar list. But that seemed to disappear and perimeterperusing.com appeared. I have noticed many posts are not formatted to auto list on perimeterperusing.com, and I think that is a shame. So first, for those who may not know how to format a list of clearance you found to auto list, it is easy. When you are listing the items found, list each one on a separate line. At the start of each line, put three pound signs, then list the item. DPCI, UPC, percentage off would be nice, but it is not necessary. For example, if bikes were on sale, a properly formatted entry with would look like (example provided by Brad): ### some really cool thing - $9.41 (DPCI: 1234567890)(not an actual deal, example only) ### another thing - $2.49 (75% off) (not an actual deal, example only) However, do not feel you have to list your finds this way. This is where I'll come in. I'll be going in to any posts not formatted in the way to autolist and "fixing" them, so the list is updated with all deals posted. I'm excited. I hope y'all find this helpful. :) -

Hey all. As I said when I returned just after Black Friday, it's been a few years since I actually did any perimeter perusing. So take my input for now with a grain of salt. However, I seem to remember similar every year around this time. And every year more and more pallets of toys and Chr-stmas items are brought out after the holiday and during the clearance period. I can't guarantee there will be great clearance selection. ...but I'm not going to worry too much about it until I actually see how it goes. -

Going back to the original request of this thread... I was just asked for Chr-stmas brunch ideas, and I knew I had posted some here long ago. The thread was in the BF 2005 forum, and I figure hardly anyone goes in there anymore, so if y'all don't mind, I'll repost that particular post here.
