Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010

Thank you, I noticed that as well and will get a PM in to Brad to see if he can fix it. -
The saltines is basically the Matzah Caramel Crunch recipe I use for Passover, substituting saltines for the matzah. Otherwise it is identical. I have to show up at both sederim I attend each year with a batch of this as a hostess gift. Otherwise there are very long faces around the table when dessert is served. Matzah Caramel Crunch Matzah 2 sticks butter 1-1/2 cups brown sugar 2/3 cup pecans 2/3 cup almonds 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup white chocolate chips Kosher sea salt flakes, to taste Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Line sheet with single layer of matzahs (cut them in order to fill the whole tray). In pan over medium heat, melt 2 sticks butter with 1-1/2 cups brown sugar and add pecans and almonds. Bring to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes. Pour directly over the matzahs and place in oven for 15 minutes. Watch to make sure it does not burn (if it does, turn temp down to 325ºF). Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Allow to soften and spread over caramel with a flat rubber spatula. Sprinkle white chocolate chips over chocolate, allow to soften and then swirl to make a marble effect. Sprinkle very lightly with kosher sea salt flakes. Cool to room temperature, break apart and serve. You can put into the freezer to firm up even more. Pam’s note: To transport, cover with a separate sheet of parchment paper, and then wrap in foil. The melted chocolate and caramel will not stick as badly to the parchment paper as to foil.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010

Hey guys, a quick question... Even though it is not clearance related, I have only recently learned about stacking manufacturers coupons (both newspaper insert or printables) along with Target printable coupons from their website. This, along with Target returning to price matching, has made Target a major stop in my grocery runs; if only I had a Super Target with a full grocery in the area! Anyway, is the information about stacking coupons worthy to add to the first post of this thread? I could see the information making a clearance deal even better, should one happen to have both a manufacturers coupon and a Target coupon handy for a clearance find, such as the current coupons for Energizer batteries, should they go clearance after the holidays... -
The GD Holiday Movie Tournament Rolls on!!! Round 4!!

1- Christmas w/ The Kranks 2- Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas 3- The Santa Clause 4- It's a Wonderful Life -
Precisely, that is what I was trying to explain myself. Now, I am wondering about the refer a friend MIR, which doesn't mention the "not valid with other offers." I had the newspaper one, so I didn't send for that one. Now I did, and it says valid on purchases dated after the date of the email *sigh* ...can't win for losing.

Try Coupon Beat clipping service. She is charging 20 cents each for the $10 rebate coupon and the $10 manufacturers coupon, and her least expensive shipping option is 50 cents for an order. I have used her service in the past, and have been very satisfied with her service. The link should take you directly to the page with the MIR and coupon listed. They are about midway down the page. If the link doesn't work, they are currently listed on page 2 of the Smartsource insert listings for 11/21.

My receipt shows: So, both are listed on the receipt, but the Target web coupon caused it to show as ringing up at $27.99, even though it then lists $10.00 was taken off of $37.99. I paid $17.99 + tax at the register, so the $20 definitely came off. Clear as mud? The shelf tag at my Target had a different model number for the Essence model than what the boxes had on them. Where the shelf tag was, the shelf was empty. We think it was for model HX5300. But the model we wound up buying, Essence model HX5351/46, also scanned at $37.99.

I think so. Target is usually pretty good about all stores doing the same thing. But this may be a case of YMMV. The price cut is advertised at least through tomorrow. If they won't do it, return the one you bought and buy another one with coupon. If you can't get there tomorrow, and it goes off price cut next week, I saw in the Walgreens weekly ad preview that they are putting the Sonicare Essence on sale for $39.99 next week. If you have both the Target and manufacturers coupon, get a Walgreens flyer next week and bring it to Target to price match, if you have to return and buy again. It is a couple of bucks more than the price cut, but still an excellent price.

In the 11/21 Smart Source insert, the manufacturers coupon and rebate are one on top of the other. The Target website supposedly did have the $10 manufacturers coupon, as well as their own coupon, available to print. But I was unable to find the $10 manufacturers coupon there when I searched. -
I just got a terrific deal on Sonicare Essence toothbrushes, thanks to a heads up TotallyTarget.com Target has them in store on price cut/sale for $37.99 through tomorrow, supposedly an $80 retail value. Their website has a Target printable *Target* coupon for $10 off one Philips Sonicare Toothbrush Handle Item on their coupon page of their website. There is a $10 manufacturers coupon in the 11/21 Smart Source newspaper coupon insert, and in the same insert there is a $10 mail in rebate as well. A Sonicare for $7.99 after rebate? Sold!

Ooo, and this just posted on the Small Business Saturday Facebook page... So if you are an AMEX member, they are extending the offer through the end of the year. I haven't read the details since I am not a member, so I don't know if it is a one time refund of $25 or what. But still, what a terrific way to stimulate local economic spending.

My impression is the OP is asking how it felt to go without a real tree for Chr-stmas, if your tradition is to have one. I have a question for the OP: how does your teen feel regarding not having a tree this year? I ask because although we are Jewish, my mom was a fan of English-style Chr-stmas celebrations, and as a child we always had a tree and a secular Chr-stmas. When we moved from New York to south Florida the summer I was nine years old, my mom asked my sister and me if she should pack up the chr-stmas decorations to move with us, or give them away. She had a beautiful collection. My (younger) sister and I decided to not bother moving them, so they were given away... And when the holidays rolled around, we begged my mom to get a tree and start collecting again. It just seemed wrong to not have the tree in our new home. And it wasn't even our holiday. So, just my experience. If an artificial tree can fill in, they can be gotten inexpensively. And you would have the tree up longer than just Chr-stmas morning anyway. I feel, do what you can to share traditions with your teen. S/he will be grown and out of the house soon enough. Try to enjoy the season together when you can, even if it is in small moments of quiet in the evenings watching the lights.

I don't even have an american express card, but I like the idea anyway. I hope it becomes an annual event, so shoppers remember their local businesses between the large chain retailer trips.

How do you get notified of the free song of the day? I am a fan of T-SO, so was notified by them, but have never been notified of free songs by amazon.
