Agreed, but as far as I recall, this is the first year in a long time Target is doing doorbusters, yes? I seem to recall their previous ads have all been 3-day sales. I may be wrong though as I haven't been to Target for Black Friday before.

As I said, Beorn has had the Acer Aspire ONE netbook, model number ZG5 with Windows XP, for over a year. We bought an external DVD +/- rewriter reader/burner for it. It has done everything Beorn has asked of it, and then some. I think y'all are going to be pleased with the machine y'all got at the price you got it for. :)

I do not know if this will be similar to Black Friday or not, but I purchased the Wii the day it was released at the Gator Town Target. They did issue tickets. I even had an issue with my credit card when I went to pay, and they held my unit until I could straighten it out at Guest Services and return to electronics to try purchasing again.

They seriously are pretty much interchangeable, when it comes to using them on potatoes. A food mill is not a "unitasker," as Alton Brown calls them, whereas a ricer is. The food mill can be used to make baby food, grind flour (with a lot of elbow grease), and other things. The ricer is pretty much only for potatoes. I do the same, but since we love garlic i do one whole peeled clove of garlic for each potato I boil to be mashed. I think the boiled garlic takes on a mellower flavor even than roasted garlic, which I also love.

Ooo??? A mystery to draw us in! -
Technically, a food mill and ricer are different, but for mashed potatoes they work equally the same. I love the fluffiness my ricer achieves on potatoes. http://www.chefscatalog.com/img/products/285x285/11416_285.jpg food mill http://www.londonbarandkitchen.com/images/zoom/J450.jpg potato ricer (what I use)

For those of us in the southeast, I am finding Publix accepts competitors coupons and allows you to stack a manufacturers coupon for the same item along with it. If the 39 cents a pound Honeysuckle at Albertson's is via a store coupon, not an ad, and you find a manufacturers coupon online and print it off, they will take both on one bird.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010
Gator Pam replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Hi Damien9104! Without seeing your mom's PM, I am uncertain if she is aware that Target clearance is YMMV. Meaning although the prices hopefully go to the lowest price gottadealers find in their stores nationwide, but there is no way to force a local store to match another store's clearance price. All she can do is hope the GPS do not get purchased by someone else or go salvage before being marked down to the 75% off price. And guys, must I play mean board host here? I like the occasional off topic discussion as much as the next guy, but really... Unless the DSi's are on clearance, let's move that discussion elsewhere, please. Oh, and GinaInIL, please keep perimeterperusing.com in mind if the board gets too chatty for you. As long as the triple # is used when a deal is posted, you will find them all listed there. Carry on! -
So glad several got it! It figures it would go live while I was AFK touring New College of Florida as a potential school for Beorn next year. Much thanks to those who posted direct links to the deal when it did go live.

I'm just excited to finally have an entry in the Holiday Giveaway! Even though one entry will easily be overwhelmed by those who find deals and post all the time. But you can't win at all if you don't play. So, at least now I have a remote chance.

I love laying out a festive Thanksgiving meal, but my father-in-law is coming and he thinks he is doing me a favor by keeping me out of the kitchen. *sigh* So, this year will be Cracker Barrel, and after father-in-law leaves I'll stock up on discounted Thanksgiving items and make us a festive meal the next week.

Maps & Target's Doorbusters and where they will be in the store
Gator Pam replied to gcurdinc112's topic in 2010
Are you certain it is the exact model as in the ad? In the past I've done Wal-mart, not Target. Wal-mart almost never has the big ticket with the matching model number items on floor before they unwrap the pallets at 5:00 am. -

Hey bigjim, it looks like The New York Times backed up the claim you made last night during the webcast regarding gobblegobble.com. -
Do Silver Reward Zone customers get early black friday deals?
Gator Pam replied to AleaHBaker's topic in 2010
So, how does one become a Silver Reward Zone member? -
And since Sears and Kmart are now owned by the same company, it makes sense that Kmart will have it as well.
-
Gator Town does not have a nearby Staples. Do their items go online? And are the coupons valid online if they do?

I am still planning on attending, but I may be just a little distracted by the USC/UF game a few miles away in The Swamp... -
Welcome to the GottaDeal.com forums, angicarter92! May I ask why you are choosing the $299 Sears netbook, rather than the $149 Best Buy Compaq or $179 Radio Shack Acer? As for me... *ineligible post for t-shirt* $500.00 starting budget <149.99> Compag netbook ~ Best Buy $350.01 <298.00> Westinghouse 40" 1080p TV ~ Target $052.01 <019.99> stainless steel pots and pans as a starter set for Beorn when he leaves for college next year ~ JCPenny $032.02 <031.96> snuggie (4) for Paul, Beorn,my FIL, and ME ~ Sears $000.06 ~ Salvation Army kettle

Well, being a perimeter peruser at Target, I haven't really been impressed with Black Friday ads for several years now. That had a little to do with my inactivity on the site for a couple of years. i just didn't see anything that beat the year-round clearance deals at Target. And now that a Kohl's has finally opened here, and with the CVS and Walgreens threads here in the forums, I honestly do better year-round than buying Black Friday deals. That said, I still love the thrill of Black Friday shopping. Usually I line up at Wal-mart, as most other ads do not thrill me. So, my overall impression so far is: "meh." I am hoping the Wal-mart ad will change that impression.
