  1. High of 77, low of 64 30% chance of a.m. showers
  2. I've ordered from them. I got Ok! magazine from them, and I think that may be where I got 5 yrs of Weight Watchers magazine for next to nothing.
  3. Cool thanks! I found a couple Arkansas Razorback things. I just have to check with "Santa" so I order the right size.
  4. I go to a friend's house every year for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, and we always have hors d'oeuvre. Some of our appitizers include: Pigs in a blanket, mini corn dogs, mini egg rolls, spinich dip with bread cubes, the usual meat/cheese and fruit/veggie trays, and sometimes wings.
  5. As long as it smells good, and you think she might like it, what's in a name? You'd be suprised what pastors and/or pastor's wives talk about in mixed company. My nephew is a youth pastor, and he still shocks me sometimes. So does his wife.
  6. I'm going to get my mail carrier a subscription to OK! magazine, since I've caught him (more than once) sitting out in his truck flipping through mine before bringing it in.
  7. I did hotel management for close to 10 years when I lived in St Louis. Never accept the first price they offer. Always resist. Ask for a Manager's Special, or if they have any other kind of special (I worked for Best Western and we had what we called a "Best Rate" as well as Mgr Specials). In my experience, I would rather book my hotel with guaranteed reservations even if it was 6 months away and at a discounted rate, instead of waiting til the last minute and then work my butt off with walk ins, and hoping enough walkins would come in to fill up. The only exception to this would be if there was some sort of special event going on at that time. For example, 4th of July weekend, when Fair St Louis is going on, Cardinals in town playing someone like the Cubs or the Braves, and something special going on at Six Flags just down the road, don't expect too much of a discount. Where is it that you're trying to book (the city, and hotel name)?? Is May considered peak season for that area or off season? Good luck.
  8. I bought 2 Jabra bluetooth thingys last month on ebay. Got them both for $18.xx shipped. I'll have to look for the link. The seller had quite a few. Would multi bluetooth thingys be considered blueteeth?? LOL Edit: I looked, but the seller didn't have any of the ones left like I got. It was the Jabra BT120
  9. They threatened legal action for THIS??
  10. Thurs. Nov 22 Partly Cloudy Hi 79 Low 65 20% chance of rain
  11. LOL...I guess I need to go to bed. I thought I read this as you got one for your dear husband, and your dear boyfriend. LOL Took me a second to realize B was for brother. Thanks OP. I picked one up for a Christmas gift. Got an additional 10% disc for Sears Friends and Family (it automatically took it off), and the free shipping. 8.07 + .52 tax= $8.59
  12. See post #34 of this thread (on page 2) for the answer.
  13. Eek! <---- Not a fan of snow anymore. Hmmm, a white Halloween?
  14. Wow. Jefferspet ships fast. I ordered the small bed last weekend, and got the bed on Wednesday. My girls have been enjoying the bed very much, and this picture should prove it. LOL It definately get's the "Lucy seal of approval", can you tell?? http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d77/kmbrly999/Picture002-2.jpg
  15. They could make the ad public today, and have on the front cover the items that I want most this year for free, and I wouldn't go. I think I'm more bothered by the quotes of Stephen Baker. BF website fans may not necessarily be (in your eyes) the best customers, but they ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS! Whether they cherry pick a couple of things really cheap, or do their entire Christmas shopping at your store, they are STILL YOUR CUSTOMERS. If you don't want them to cherry pick cheap items, don't price them at cherry picking prices. And yes, I will go shopping anyway. But I will NOT be shopping at WM. And yes, I realize that the few hundred I spend on Black Friday won't hurt your register that day, and even the thousands of dollars I spend throughout the rest of the year also won't hurt your registers, but at least I will have the satisfaction of knowing that none of my hard earned money will be spent where it is obviously not appreciated. Anyone have a phone number for Stephen Baker?? And what exactly is "vice president of industry analysis for NPD Group"? Edit to add: Stephen Baker is not associated with WM. But in this article it sure looks like he's speaking for them. Here's what I found:
  16. Both of my girls sleep in the bed with me, but during the day, like right now, they are both curled up on a blanket in the floor. I never got them a bed before, because I really didn't think they would use it. But a few weeks ago I dog sat a friend's great dane and they brought her bed. I put it down in the living room during the day, and then beside my bed at night. Lucy loved it! She even got off of my bed and snuggled up close to Abby on the dog bed a couple of nights.
  17. This deal is still good. I just ordered the the smaller one 34"x34"x4" for $14.95 for Lucy and Macy. With the additional freight charge it came to $24, but this is still a pretty good size for this price. I've been shopping around and similar ones are close to $65. Thanks OP, can't wait to get it for my girls.
  18. I googled all and parts of the quote and couldn't find anything. I'd like to read the full article too.
  19. Year before last I sat outside Circuit City all night, then had to go to work Friday morning at 9:30. Last year and this year (and every year from now on) I just take a vacation day that day.
  20. I thought this was kinda funny. Quoted from the cnn story link on page 1 of this thread. Whoever wrote this obviously doesn't shop on BF. To line for at 4am for a sale that starts at 5am.

    HoneyBaked Ham

I love HoneyBaked Ham, and we usually have this for the holidays (I usually volunteer to bring it as my "dish" to contribute). I also like to get one (usually the smallest one they have, since it's just me) for everyday eating. A few months ago they had a storewide 50% off sale so I got ham and turkey and ate very well for a couple of weeks.
  22. Here's a link to Tivo's Guided Set up. I didn't find it difficult at all to use my tivo with my cable. http://customersupport.tivo.com/BrowseArticles.aspx?categoryid=3#cat1
  23. The only promo code I've been able to find for this company is EP0202ZZ96 for $5 off (valid on orders over $45)
  24. And code WW14798 will save you 40% off one item (highest priced item in the cart). I just got this in an email today. I think it expires at 11:59pm on 10/08.
  25. I want another canopy swing. I had one in St Louis, and it broke my heart to have to leave it behind when I moved to Florida. It may be a pain in the butt having to disassemble and tie down during a hurricane, but I just loved the one I had. Guess I'll have to stop by there on my way to check out the Dollar General clearance. lol
