  1. I ran in Kmart a few days ago because it's close to work, and I wanted to see what kind of shoes they had. I was looking for some inexpensive tennis shoes. I found a pair of plain white ones, with a price tag of $19.99. Their sale was BOGO 50% off, but I only needed the one pair, and didn't really have time to look around at other shoes. When the cashier rang them up, they rang up for $24.99. WTH? The tag hanging on the shoe (the same one she scanned) clearly says $19.99. She tried changing the price, but it kept giving her an error. She just stood there and looked lost. Finally, I just told her to forget it, I didn't have the time to stand there, I needed to get back to work. So she did. Same thing happened with a 6pk of Coke Zero. Tag on the shelf clearly marked $2.99, but it rang up $3.69 or $3.99. I had her take that off too. Now I remember why I don't go there.
  2. Is this the All Small and Mighty?? And is it clearanced at all Targets?? I don't go to Target often, but I enjoy reading about all the $$$ you guys save. Now I'm thinking I may need to make a trip there tomorrow after work. I need some pots and pans, and I have about 6 coupons for the All Small and Mighty.
  3. Don't these guys have ambulances to chase or something, and leave us alone?
  4. I will either be here in Charlotte or in Nashville. We're supposed to be meeting in Nashville for Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure if I'm going yet or not.
  5. LOL Is this why I've seen displays at stores with the cords cut off?? (Irons, blenders, etc) Is the store cutting them off, and getting replacements? I didn't have to do all of this when Mr Coffee replaced my Iced tea maker. By the time they got back to me for the information they needed, I had already cleaned up another mess made my the malfunctioning maker, and told them I had gotten so frustrated so I went ahead and tossed it, and thanked them for their time. (I wasn't upset with them, it was a well used tea maker, but I hadn't really had it all that long). About a week later I came home to a package on my doorstep with a new iced tea maker (with a bigger pitcher even) in it.
  6. LOL. I knew that. I don't know why I spelled it with an E. What am I going to do for 3 weeks without a microwave?? LOL I'll have to run across the street to make my popcorn.
  7. 2006-- I got the 52" RCA Rear Projection tv, had to exchange it the following Monday, but the replacement has been working good. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself) 2007- The $25 Emerson Microwave crapped out yesterday. (There's a seperate thread about this). At least they're going to replace it, after I jump through a couple of hoops. LOL
  8. Ok, so according to Terri at the 800#, they will gladly ship me a new microwave. First I have to cut the power cord off, mail the cord, with the owner's manual and a note explaining the problem (and she gave me an authorization number to include) to Emerson Radio in Erving Texas. And in 2-3 weeks I can expect a new microwave. I don't think I've ever heard of having to cut the power cord off and sending it in.
  9. I took a personal day today (not because of this- LOL), so I'm currently on hold with the company. So far, they're trying to convince me that my call is very important to them, and if I continue to hold I can speak to the next representative.
  10. At least I'm not going nuts. LOL Did you contact Emerson? Has yours worked at all since??
  11. Thanks. I sent them an email. Their phone support is only available 9am-4pm central time (10am-5pm where I am). And I work from 9:30-6. Will keep you posted on what happens. it's supposed to have a 1 year warranty.
  12. I may try that. Like you said, it couldn't hurt. The crazy thing is possessed. I plugged it in to see if it was still acting up, and it seemed like it was going to be ok. So I put a Hormel Compleats meal in there for 90 seconds. It made it most of the 90 seconds and I hear all kinds of Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep. LOL So I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it went back to the 22:22 and beep beep beep.
  13. The Emerson microwave that was $25 last BF just bit the dust. When I came home from work I kept hearing a beep. I followed it to the kitchen, where I found the microwave displaying a "2". Then it beeped again and there was no display. Then the 2 reappeared. I unplugged it, waited a minute and plugged it back in. Same thing, only this time when I tried pressing "reset" or "stop" there was another 2. Then another... and another. The display now showed 22:22 and I couldn't press any buttons to clear it, stop it, or start it. Grrrr. I know it was only $25, but you'd think it would last a little more than 9 months. *Sorry. Whoever moved this thread- Thank you!* LOL

    too soon?

Never too early... well, for us anyway. sorry, Brad, that your calm just got stormy. Hope you relaxed while you could.
  15. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=114840 decent prices
  16. Rite Aid (although I don't really care for them) will price match other pharmacies too (within a certain mileage I believe).
  17. One of my coworkers has a slot machine in his game room, and he needed to have something on it repaired. He lives in South Carolina, but we work in North Carolina. The guy repairing it first wouldn't do it, because he lives in SC, but then my coworker gave his sons address which is in NC, the guy would go ahead and repair it.
  18. It's showing $12.50 here, but that's still an awesome deal. Nevermind. Just saw the discount code in OP to bring it down to the $10. I'm so blind sometimes.
  19. I tried to call to price my meds at Bi-Lo but the pharmacy is closed. Just for kicks I got a price from RiteAid. The Metformin that I take is $30 at RA! I pay $4 at Target. The lady wasn't the nicest person on the phone either. I guess I didn't help matters because when I said something about that being $26 more than I pay now, she asked (with a tone that insinuated I was lying) "you only pay $3 for Metformin?" After hearing her tone I said "Uhmm nope, where I'm from 30 - 26 = 4." Just to be a I asked if they price matched. Surprisingly she said they price match pharmacies w/in 3 miles, and agreed to pricematch my prescription even though the closest Target (where I get mine) is probably 6 miles or so I think. I may go ahead and transfer this prescription and get the $30 gift card, even though I'm finding RA to not have the friendly people other places do. I have 2 more prescriptions too that are $4 at Target I'll consider transferring if I can find a price close to that with a gift card promo. I'll call Bi-Lo back tomorrow and check their price, as well as CVS.
  20. I think I also saw an ad in Bi-Lo's ad for a $25 card with a new or transferred prescription. I think I can spend a BiLo card quicker than I can RiteAid. But I may do the CVS one too for the next time their Coke products are on sale.
  21. Sadly, there's never enough in mine to steal... At these prices, my poor car may never see FULL again.
  22. You can print the coupon from RiteAids website, but in the fine print it says limit one perscription offer per patient. I have 4 prescriptions that I could transfer, if they allowed more than 1. I read somewhere that RA would match Target or WM's $4 generics. I take three of those, and the 4th one is $12. Is the gift card a RA gift card? Even if they allowed multiple, 4x30= $120. I dont' shop at RA enough to spend $120. I'd rather use that $120 to ease gas expenses.
  23. I've been there once. It was on a company trip, so I didn't pay. The steak alone was $35, but OMG it melted in my mouth. The sides were about $7 each, and FWIW, Lyonnaise is a fancy smancy name for fried taters with onions. LMAO Edit to add: I had no clue that first picture was tomatoes. LOL It's broiled tomatoes, carmelized with a touch of sugar. (for $7) LOL
  24. I think The First Years is who makes it.
