  1. Holy crap! Did you even get to have a Thanksgiving dinner? I admire your dedication, but holy cow. I would have gone stir crazy I think if I'd been there since Wednesday!
  2. Is it this one you're looking for? http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/stick_n_click.html?gid= or this? http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/stickupbulb.html?gid= (I've seen both of the above at Walgreens, only difference was the second one (bulb) you could buy single for 9.99 where above its 2/$19.99) There's also this one: (after reading the description, I think this is the one you're talking about) I haven't seen this one yet at Walgreens but will keep my eyes open http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/quik_brite.html
  3. I have those in my hurricane kit. As far as the OP question. I've ordered from Asseenontv.com, but it was for something that I couldn't find in stores anymore. I've seen these lights you're talking about at Walgreens. You can save yourself the shipping charges and just buy them there.
  4. Wow! I'm glad you're ok. by your username I'm assuming you're in FL? What part? I try to be very aware of my surroundings, but sometimes I'm very lax about it. I need to work on that. Thanks for the reminder.
  5. I snooped ONCE when I was younger (maybe a preteen). Not sure why I did it, because my oldest sister did my dad's Christmas shopping (to me) for him, and whatever I put on my list I got (I never asked for anything extragavant). The year I peeked, the two things that stick out in my mind that I got was a new Bible that I had been wanting, and a digital alarm clock. I forget the other things. I'll never forget how I felt Christmas when I opened everthing, and I already know what they all were. The was absolutely no feeling of surprise. I never peeked again. As for your situation, I agree with some previous posts. Either hide the present and don't give it to them until later Christmas day, or make them take it back as their "punishment" for peeking, when you clearly told them to leave the bags alone.

    Disorganized!!!

Mine was pretty organized. They had the smaller electronics stacked behind the counter in layaway. You stood in line waited until your turn, then went up and told them what you wanted. They got it for you. No grabbing, no free for all. I think I might stick with this WM for future BF's.
  7. My sister's SO got it. She didn't get it for $99 though because their Vonage signup computer was down. so no one got Vonage. She paid the $299(??) for it and will get the $100 mail-in rebate. She was 17th in line, and they had 35 of the laptops.
  8. We were at Walmart. They came out and passed out the ads, told us where everthing would be, then explained that there would be no running, no pushing, etc or they would lock the doors and call the police. Everything seemed to go rather smoothly. There was only about 50 people or so in line and they let us in about 4:50am. I was through the store, paid for my tv, used the restroom and in my car at 5:06am.
  9. Maybe they just haven't installed them yet. Our Supercenter in Boynton Beach just got a "facelift" and all the old scanners are gone. But they installed new fancy schmancy ones. Smaller, and harder to find if it weren't for those "FIND PRICE HERE" signs hanging above them. And none of the new scanners are in the same place as the new ones.
  10. $504.81
  11. Ohhh, so not right. I'd be ticked too!!!
  12. Hi and to Gottadeal! Just curious what WM you went to in St Louis. I used to live there and we always either went to Kirkwood or Chesterfield Commons. I liked the Commons more. Walmart, Target Greatland, Circuit City, Best Buy, Sams, and much much more right there together. Hope you had a good day!
  13. The ad stated Minimum of 3 per store. A lady about 10 or so back in line from me called and they told her they had 6. Turns out they had only 2. The counted the display as the third but wouldn't sell it. Not sure what happened to the others. Employees bought them maybe? The TV's weren't even on the floor. We got tickets in line, took the ticket to the register to pay, then pulled around to the back of the store where they loaded it. So I never saw any of the TV's to see how many they actually started out with.
  14. I got there at 9:30. No one else showed up until after 11pm when a non English speaking guy showed up. Then around midnight 2 girls showed up. They stayed in the truck and slept until others started showing up at almost 4am!!! I was first in line. They came out around 4:30 giving us the rules. No shoving, no pushing, no running. We were told that if anyone broke these rules they would not hesitate to lock the store and call the police. Yep, we were a rowdy bunch (not).... By 4:45 there were about 30 people in line. They passed out tickets, which was good, because the TV I was there to get they only had two of them, and with the no running, pushing, shoving rule my sitting there all night might have been wasted if someone was faster than me. I paid for it picked it up, and was on my way home by 5:15am. Gonna take a nap now. Been up since 6 yesterday morning. I might venture out later today.
  15. Decent size town about 1/2 way between West Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale. The WM that I'm going to is what we call the "old people" WM. Just a regular WM, not a supercenter, and it's where all the old people shop from all the many many 55+ neighborhoods around here.
  16. Just drove through my WM and the parking lot is deserted. I came home to change clothes and head back that way.
  17. Someone mentioned in another thread that some states it is against state law or something to sell below cost. I'll try to find that thread, it explained it more.
  18. :banghead: Just when I THOUGHT I had a game plan. I was on the fence about even spending $500 on myself. Had myself talked into it, and then I come read this. Back to the drawing board.

  20. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=546831&dest=9999999996&sourceid=20421009363939607290
  21. I won't sleep in, but you can bet I'll be in bed fairly early Friday night. LOL
  22. :sidesplit And you just know there are going to be at least 42 threads started on the same topic. Anyway, I stopped getting the paper delivered when the neighbor kept taking it. So I'll stop at a paper machine on my way to work and pick one up. So I'll have mine about 6:30am.
  23. Hmmm... I forget where I heard this, but I know someone told me before that there's one part of Fed Ex delivery (FedEx Home Delivery) that is not done by Fed Ex employees, but rather they are subcontracted (is that the right word?). The drivers of those have to lease the Fed Ex truck they use (or maybe use their own vehicle?). Now I'm going to have to research this. I know I heard that somewhere before.
  24. If you don't mind open box items, check Best Buy. I saw a Dyson Animal (the purple one) at BB the other day. It was $459 I think but had a $100 gift card with it.
