  1. Same here. The clearance firepits where with the other outdoor equipment including the grill accessories and other fire pits. I see that some people are still finding them but the stores that I have been to around town have sold out of them a long time ago. They are long gone here. Way too many clearance shoppers around here, LOL.
  2. itzjussmee - hey where in KCMO do you live? What Targets do you go to most? I live in S. Olathe and KCTraderbear who posts on this board lives in Overland Park. It would be great if we could get a network together and let each other know about great deals at each of the Targets - that is if you guys feel like sharing info.
  3. I was going to say Dillon's which is a Kroger store. My Dillon's regularly has 4/$1 snicker, hershey's, starburst, etc. They also have no limit as far as I am aware. I have bought $5 worth of candy bars just to have here at home when they have them on sale like that. I love Snickers, LOL.
  4. At my Target both the Mix Sticks MP3's are 50% off at 24.98 and the Mix Max video players are on clearance for 49.98. The accessories are on sale for 50% off as well.
  5. Well my Target will not do price adjustments on clearance items. I had to return the item and repurchase another one at the lower price. Now I will just keep an eye out and purchase the lower priced one and then return it with the receipt for the higher price.
  6. I got a couple of the air hogs hover thing today. That was a good tip - they weren't marked on clearance at all and the tag on the shelf still said $24.99. Great deal at $4.98. The science wiz kits were not coming up at all in the system when we scanned it so I didn't bother today. I couldn't find an associate to talk to them about it and lately the supervisors have just been telling me that if it comes up "not available" then they can find the last sale price and sell it to me for that. Didn't feel like doing battle today, lol. I am nice really :) Got my son a great pair of boots for $4.98. Found some pillow covers to keep stains off them for $1.98. My son purchased a gamecube game Starfox which the tag said $19.99 but when he went to pay the total with tax was only $15.03 - nice. Very happy with our trip today.
  7. The baby clearance items in a couple of the Targets in my area are also gone off the shelves. I found some misc. things in a clearance type aisle they set up in the back but really a lot of it is just gone. One day it was there and now it is gone. I find it hard to believe that it was sold that quickly considering it was at the same price as it has been for the last few weeks. Oh well. Didn't NEED to buy anything anyway :)
  8. Went to a different Target in my metro today and found a few more toy deals that I missed the first time around. Most of the toys were 75% off at this store but some were still only 30% off including many of the Thomas items. The fast action football was only 50% off as was the radio flyer spring horse. This Target seemed to be a bit behind the other Targets around because alot of the clearance was still on the main shelves instead of having been moved to endcaps like at the Target near me. It is funny how clearance is different from one store to the next. Even the items on clearance are different. I have seen many items on clearance at my closer Target that were not even on clearance at all at some of the other metro Targets I have gone to. Isn't that weird? I mean I can understand the difference in percentages but the difference in the items is odd to me.
  9. Yes mine is that same one with the bonus bench
  10. KC congrats on the deals. I wish I had the energy and time to go out like you do. I guess I'm just not very good at this bargain shopping thing. I would love to get the great deals but I just can't do it. I would love to find some good deals on toys still though. I was able to get some at my Target when they first went to 75% off. I did get the spart art for 75% off and got a couple of software packs as well. I would still like to find a couple more software packs though - have you seen any still available? Can I get any hints about the Target without the marked prices. I'm not one to go demanding on people - I would just like to see if perhaps they have marked their toys yet. Is it out in Legends? My IL's live out there and last time I was out there I saw that they are slower to mark down than others. I might make a trip out there anyway. The lowest I have seen on the baby items at my Target is 50% off still.
  11. I have returned with a receipt no problem. Did your parents have receipts?
  12. Gordman's usually has name brand stuff at lower prices as well. They also have coupons they email out if you sign up on their website.
  13. I have seen some of the Target salvage at Goodwill and bought a couple of things. Our Goodwill really overprices stuff here - at least I think they do. I got a Cars sheet set without the pillowcase for $8 - that was when the movie was hot. Most of the stuff they had for sale had something wrong with it. The set minus the pillowcase, a broken airplane (found that out when we got home). I actually saw that they were trying to sell a travel swing that didn't even have all the pieces to it and I am talking essential pieces to make it work. Crazy.
  14. I went to the last sale as a book fair volunteer and had no problem getting in and shopping. Hey I am commited to making my children become life long learners. I am buying the books and items for my children and the children in my family.
  15. I found some great pot & pan sets on sale 50% off. They are the Kitchen Essentials sets made by Caphalon the Utility 11 piece set, the style-ware 8 piece set and another 10 piece set. The T-Fal sets are also on sale 50% off. The turkey fryers were on sale at 50% off while the peanut oil to to go in them was 75% off. There were tons of baking and cooking clearance including cutting boards, utensils, baking sheets, individual pots and pans, etc. Most was 50% off. There were some silverware sets also that were 50% off. At my Target there was also the $69.99 fire pits that were 50% off for $34.98. I was in the cleaning area and stuff there was 50% off too including cleaning sponges, a stick broom, microfiber dust cloths, a mop, sink brush cleaning sets, etc. In the health and beauty section I picked up a KY Massage lotion for 50% off. They also had First Response Pregnancy Tests on the end cap along with other misc. Lots of clearance in Target right now :) I wish I had more money.
  16. I can't imagine them having LP meetings just because of these coupons. That loss isn't what LP is interested in. That mgr is yanking your chain. I can only say that with certainty because my dh is a LP Regional for a major national chain and he practically fell out of his chair laughing when I read him what that mgr told you. Although he did used to work for Target (in LP management) and he said he wouldn't be surprised if that is what they were concerned about :)
  17. While it is true that there is a hold placed on the account usually it is only for a small amount like $1. That is what all of the gas stations around here do anyway. I have a Paypal debit and can check and see what hold has been placed by the company and Quick Trip only places $1 until their charge runs through. ameyers - when you were using your debit were you punching in your pin at the terminal? That is a POS transaction and different than just swiping it and using it as a credit card. Doing a POS transaction is cheaper for the merchant but many banks charge their consumers for doing it. We have 2 accounts one at Commerce Bank and one at Capitol Federal Savings and Cap Fed will charge us to put in our PIN at a merchant to pay but won't charge us to use the card as a cc card.
  18. Oh I almost forgot in my glee about the train set - I did also get their 4 gal jug of peanut frying oil for $9.25. That is a super, super price. This is great frying oil - we use it in our Turkey fryer and make chicken wingletts which we will probably be doing on Superbowl Sunday.
  19. I just got back from a different Target and managed to score one Lionel train set. The box is a bit dinged up but it was still on the clearance shelf at 50% off ($125). Since all of my other Targets took this train set off of clearance I snatched it up. When I got up to pay it rang up full price. I looked innocently confused and told the boy at the register (yes a boy, LOL) that the tag says $124.98. He didn't give me any problem and the roving manager just said that was a cool set and didn't say anything else either. I'm not sure why the sets aren't on clearance anymore but I am super happy that I scored one! GJacobs: Did the cascade bucket you purchased ring up at $2.39 or did you have to talk a cashier into that price? Just wondering because I was in my SuperTarger earlier and their buckets (with the snowman) were scanning at full price. The other Target where I managed to get a discounted tub (no snowman) wasn't in the system at all.
  20. I was wondering about the Lionel Lines Train Sets. My Target had quite a few of them for 50% off just last week and now the one's I am finding in the toy section are no longer on clearance at all. I am bummed because I remember thinking that with as many as they had on the shelf I was safe waiting until they hit 75% and now it seems they took them off the clearance. Isn't that weird? I even scanned the UPC on one of the boxes I found on an upper shelf and it scanned at full price. Childofsolitude do you think you might be able to ask at your Target and see what the story is on those sets? They retail at 249.99 Thanks!
  21. My son used it last year to sell cookies at our garage sale and he seemed to fit behind it fine. We don't have it set up in his room anymore though.
  22. http://www.allchildrensfurniture.com/Table-and-Chair-Sets-C11048.html There are a few nice sets on this website. My kids have the kidkraft aspen set. A little more plain but very nice.
  23. No they won't match prices from other stores. The only reason why the cashier gave the $2.24 price because the Cascade tabs were coming up as not in the system at all. The cashier had no idea what the price should be and was happy to have a price to put in. That is the way it was at my store last night anyway.
  24. the shuffle doesn't have a screen and doesn't show pictures or video's. In fact the shuffle doesn't even have a screen to tell you what song is playing. If that doesn't matter then the new shuffles are really cute and little. They can clip pretty much anywhere. What features is your 11 yo looking for?
  25. Would they honor them in Utah if we bought them for you here? Usually my coupons are only good for my geographic area.
