  1. I found the bucket of 80 geltabs at a local Target here. They were on the shelf for $12.99 but when I price checked them they came up as unavailable. I took it to the cashier and told her that I knew of a "friend" who got these on discount at another Target (hey I didn't say it was local, LOL). Anyway she said what price did your friend pay and I just said I think it was 75% off like the rest of the Christmas stuff. Well she just took 25% off 12.99 then 25% off the next price and then 25% off of the next so the actual price I got the bucket for was $5.40 which is more than 50% off but less than 75% - I took it :) I buy these things full priced all the time because I love them - I'm not gonna turn down any discount on them. Found the Bratz Bride and Groom set for 75% off also at $4.98 so got a few to give as gifts. They had the Scene It Jr's here for 50% off so I went ahead and bought one and then got some other misc. toys at 50% off as well. The baby area clearance was on full swing but everything was only about 30% off still. I don't have a baby but just thought I would check anyway.
  2. Even with shipping the cost of the shoe is like $21 before tax. I just paid $40 for Sketchers before tax to purchase at a B&M this last weekend. I would say 50% off is a pretty good deal even with the shipping. FYI - I could pickup my younger son's size at only one of my local stores but my older son's size was unavailable for pickup at any of the stores. I think it is solely a stock issue per store.
  3. thanks! my mom wanted the smaller potted entryway trees so I ordered her 2 of the multi-color one's they had online and chose the pick-up option as well.
  4. dang I just bought my kids new Sketchers last week at $39.99 a pair. Luckly this wasn't one of the pairs they picked out though or I would have been doubly mad, :)
  5. My Walmart had some marked down to $22. Not as great as the others but they did have quite a few at that price.
  6. I guess I am lucky that my MIL does consult me about what gifts to buy the kids. At least the past couple of years she did. In fact this year she gave me $100 per child to buy gifts that I know they would like as well as purchasing some of the things they circled in the TRU big toy catalog this year. We don't ever get receipts though and she does act really pissy if we suggest that we need to return an item. Like it is a personal attack on her so we don't tell her. Everything just goes back to Walmart if it needs to. I am sure if something was malfunctioning though she would take it back and exchange it for us.
  7. Hey Traderbear. Just out of curosity which KC store was 75% yesterday?? I would have loved one of those firepits, LOL. I am looking for a Spark Art Easel for less than 50%. If you happen to see one marked down below the 34.95 I would love to hear from you! I am happy to keep my eyes open for you as well but I really only stay close to home, LOL. That is why I usually go to the Olathe South location. Too many kids and too lazy to travel beyond a couple of miles from my house. Thanks!
  8. Target here in Olathe South was 75% off and was packed. When I arrived at 9:30 this morning I saw a lady with her trunk just packed with bags of Christmas items. She had a big trunk too, LOL. I practically ran back there and did score some good things but nothing that I couldn't live without. I got a Christmas tree for next year and my best find was a set of 3 lighted berry trees that go outside in your yard. They are large 5 ft, 5.5 ft and 6 ft tall. They will look great in my yard. Got much misc stuff and some of the method cleaning products and air fresheners. Spent way too much but am happy about being stocked up for next year. Stuff was going fast - there were tons of people back there with many full carts. The toys hadn't been marked down any more though which was a bummer. I was hoping they might start marking some of the toys lower than 50% off but maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part? What do you guys think?
  9. Ours say 2 miles and frankly that is fine for boys that are only 6 and 7 as mine are. We purchased rechargeables and my boys have had fun playing with them so far according to my mom. My boys couldn't master the walkie talkies and holding the button down to talk and the walkie talkies have to be on to receive transmissions as well so I don't see much difference there. I am happy with my purchase - they enjoy them so far.
  10. I bought my youngest son a pair for Christmas. He and his brother are just now opening the set tonight to try out at their Nana's house. From reading the package I think they will be fun for them. Much easier for them to use than the handheld Uniden walkie-talkie radio's we bought for them last year.
  11. The Target closest to my house is still 50% as well. The air fresheners aren't even marked and are still in their spots on the air freshener aisle. Hopefully that will mean they will fly under the radar and when t75% hits I can score some good deals.
  12. Actually had something like this happen to us today at Wal-Mart. My son received 2 robosapiens for Christmas - one from us and one from my SIL. Well I am terrible about receipts and can't find mine and she didn't give us one (and we aren't really on speaking terms) so we took the one she bought back to Wal-Mart to get a gift card. Well it turns out that she didn't purchase that Robosapien at Wal-Mart so they wouldn't take it back - the CSS said the sku's are different at different stores. We had to go home and get the one I bought at Wal-Mart instead so we could return it - LOL. Thank goodness I bought his at Wal-Mart. I have bought the Target clearanced merchandise that we bought for more earlier and then used the higher priced reciept (if I can find it :) ) to return the product and get the difference back in price. In fact I just did it tonight for a savings of about $5.30.
  13. Traderbear - thanks! My only worry is that my daughter is only going to be two. She loves them in the store so I think she would be tickled even though it says 4+. I'm going to try the different Targets around the metro tomorrow to see who has what - I'm sure you are tired after hitting 5 stores - LOL - gonna have to suck it up and see what I can find :)
  14. Traderbear - which Target had the 1/2 price Butterscotch pony? My daughter turns 2 in March - that would be a great birthday present for her if I can find one.
  15. Well I had a nice experience tonight at BB as well. I purchased the Thrillville last week for $39.99 through BB.com and did the instore pickup. Well tonight I went for a price adjustment and the cs girl said that she really couldn't price adjust online purchases but she could return the game and let me repurchase it. I said that I didn't actually bring the game with me and she said no problem at all she could do it without. All in all a great experience and very quick.
  16. My Target also will refund the price I paid regardless of what the clearance price is at the time. Technically you can't get a price adjustment though. You will have to return the item and repurchase another out on the floor or wait for them to process your return and put it back out on the sales floor to get the current clearance price.
  17. We bought our side by side at HD last year. They delivered and installed the new one for us but my dad had to bully them into taking our old one with them :) I bought the extended warranty with this refridgerator because our last one pooped out on us after just 4 years (we bought that at Sears). Well our ice dispenser has given up on us now right after the manufacturers warranty is up - so I call the HD warranty center and they are shipping us the part for my dh to install himself.
  18. Ok so I will bring back the product and return it and then repurchase. That is ok since we haven't opened it yet.
  19. Does anyone know Walmart's policy on price adjusting items that go on clearance? I know that Target has made me return and repurchase items that have gone on clearance after I have bought them - I was wondering what Walmart requires? Basically do I need to bring the product with me or will just the receipt do? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!
  20. The Target I went to today was packed. People were grabbing stuff in the Christmas clearance so fast it was crazy. There were hardly any outdoor decorations left at all - I doubt any of that will make it to 75%. The aisle that sits over by the stationary that has more of the outdoorsy type of decor was also 50% off. I got two very cool urns for 50% off of $30. They don't even look like holiday decor so I think we can use them all year long. The toys were clearanced throughout the aisles. The my little pony castle was clearanced to $30 (50%). There were other my little pony products on clearance as well as Bratz and some baby dolls. My son got the Spongebob PVD pack for his video now for $17 which was probably a 30% savings. Pretty much every toy aisle you walked down had some sort of clearance items on it.
  21. Our Sams had toys 50% off. I bought my dd a dora magical castle with a bonus big dora doll for $30 and we also got a v-smile system with bonus controller for $30. We also got some big tissue packs for a little over $2, a 4 pack of premium wrapping paper for a little over $4. Not all of their seasonal was 50% off though like the candy - that was probably only 30% off.
  22. Thanks! Glad I can order them online today instead of getting out tomorrow.
  23. Absolutely - thanks!!
  24. That is true - Target can look up every transaction except cash. It is great because I purchase pretty much everything with a credit card. I just give them the card and they run it through their system and find my transaction - simple as that. I have trouble keeping track of my receipts so I really prefer this system. I don't shop at TRU for many reasons and the only time our TRU is busy is during Christmas. I don't think that will sustain them throughout the year.
  25. KC - where in KC are you located? I live in S. Olathe and frequent the S. Target at 119th and Strang Line or the reg Target over off of I-35 and 151st St by the Great Mall.
