If I had to guess at the time zone, I would say central since that's where they're hq is located. The Infinity is back up to $75. Don't know if they sold out or if they screwed up again.

http://www.academy.com/shop/store/weekly-ad?icid=weeklyad1 This is their ad for the 24th thru the 27th (link to their website). Looks like a lot of their Black Friday deals will be on sale for the same prices all week.

Darn. Wish I had caught it before you had to remove it. That is always one of our stops.

I don't camp, so I'm just curious about the protocol here. He said he's a part of a group that will rotate and at least 1 person has to be there at all times. Does that mean when it's time to open, the whole group will go in? How does that sit with other people in line?

No. You're thinking of the Christmas Ad Match. They will not do Black Friday sales on the Christmas Ad Match. However, under their regular price match policy, if you have Target's (or any other store in your area) ad ON Black Friday and take it to Walmart during the hours of the sale in the ad, they will match the prices in the ad as long as they have the exact item. Does that make sense?

The sale they will have this Friday will be items they have chosen. They won't be price matching bf ads in the traditional sense that day. If you have the physical bf ad ON bf, they will price match those items during the hours of the sale in the ad if it's the exact item Walmart carries.

Praying for your community! I live in Oklahoma (grew up in Moore), so I can sympathize. I wish I could make it better for you all, this really makes my heart hurt.

Keep an eye on Gottadeal's Online Deals. Chances are you'll find an even better deal than what Target is offering, unless you're just specifically needing the 3 month card rather than the 12 month. A few months back, I was able to get (2) 1 year cards, for $25 each. Of course, it may not come up again before Christmas, so I'm not saying don't jump on this deal.

Yes, Walmart will be open Thanksgiving day

I always use eBay, unless I'm wanting more protection like Otterbox or Lifeproof (you never know if the ones on eBay are fake, and that can be a costly gamble). I actually have a Hello Kitty case in my watch list just in case I can get the mini at Walmart on BF for my dil.

Sears had a set for $800. That was the lowest price I saw.

I would love to see the Academy ad myself, but I don't think we ever get that one here.

In my opinion, it makes enough of a difference to be worth it if you're looking at websites or documents, especially .pdf documents. Books and apps, maybe not so much.
-
I went from the 7" to the 8.9", and I can see a difference. My main reason for going bigger was to load the ads and keep it with me on BF . I could do it on the 7", but it's a bigger difference than you might think on the 8.9.

I carry one with me all the time. I've used a few different brands, but NewTrent is my favorite. I can use it to charge my phone, my tablet, my camera, etc. There are a lot out there that are cheaper than NewTrent. I've never used the really cheap ones so I can't speak to how powerful they are. I have not noticed one in any of the ads yet, but I wasn't really looking for one so I could've overlooked.

Do you have an Academy in your area? Or you can order online. I don't know what kind of price you're looking for, but you can get a target bag for less than $30. http://www.academy.com/shop/browse/_/N-0?Ntt=target+bag&Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial Also, depending on where you live, hay bales make great bow & arrow targets, and you can usually find them pretty cheap.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. On the Ad match vs. Price Match, you've got the gist of it. I'm not sure about the timeframe/standing in line for customer service part. Anytime I've price matched (not on BF) I've don't it at the register.

Black Friday Webcast Thread - Details, Schedule & More
Bopeep replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2013
Unfortunately, we rarely (if ever) know for sure what time the online sales will start, until they do. You just have to keep watching. As the weathermen in my area like to say...Stay with Gottadeal, they'll keep you advised. -
I'll have to firm this up with my sister, but as of right now I'm thinking hit Walmart at 6:00 for a whole list of things then go home and go to bed. I don't have anything on my Walmart list for events 2 or 3. And I don't need anything from the other stores on Thursday night. Then we'll get up early Friday morning to do stores such as Academy, Atwoods, Gordman's, etc.

We can hope. I have 2 cousins after the same thing. Unfortunately, we won't know for sure until they start the online sale.
-
It's starts at 6, and it's while supplies last. From what I've read on the forums though, the Swap Force is a big deal this year. I wouldn't count on getting it if you're not there when the sales starts.

Their regular price matching policy is you come in to the store with competitor ad in hand to buy a product and they will adjust the price right there at the register. Most stores WILL do this on black Friday with competitors ads. Generally that has been up to individual store managers so if your store has done it in the past, chances are they will do it again this year. The Christmas Ad Match policy is you buy something at Walmart now, and find it on sale at Target next week. You can take your receipt and the Target ad in, and they will give you the difference on a WM gift card. They will NOT do this for Black Friday ads. So, if you buy a new xbox today at Walmart, and Target runs it in their ad next week for $20 less, you could have it price matched. If Target runs it $20 less in their BF ad, you can not have it price matched. Does that help at all?

http://www.walmart.com/cp/1099938?adid=1500000000000023901680 According to their website, they will be doing the 1 hour guarantee again. I heard only good things about that last year. It also says "starting at 8 p.m." but that's not to say there won't be an earlier sale.
