I hated it. The fact that I didn't get one of the big ticket items I wanted was no big deal, that's always part of it. What I hated was that my sister and I always hit several stores, then we go get the kids up and go eat breakfast. Well, after having to stay up at Wal Mart all night we were too tired to enjoy the day. We ended up going home and going to bed, then taking the kids for supper! :) As much as we love BF though, we're just not willing to give up Thanksgiving for it, so we're going to have to figure out how to do it all and still sleep!

I have been listening, but mostly in my office with my earbuds in so no one else knows . I love all Christmas songs, but a couple of my favorites are Skip Ewing's Christmas Carol (beautiful song about a little orphan girl named Carol who only wants someone to take her home for Christmas), and Ray Stevens' Snoopy vs. Red Baron (don't know why, I just LOVE that song).

Do you have an Academy in your area? Haven't seen the ad for them yet, but they usually have really good sales and they'll probably have one.

I swung by Best Buy on my way to work this morning. There are 2 people in line in Moore, OK. I'll drive back by this afternoon, and I'll also check out Norman, OK on my way home.

I've loved reading this thread! I would be hard pressed to come up with a costume that hasn't already been mentioned, so I think I would go with Superman - And faster than a speeding bullet I would scoop up all the doorbusters I was there for and fly off to the next store! Last year I said Ace Hardware, and they let me down. This year, I'm going to go with Half Price Books on October 14.

Got it in today. looked it over really well, and compared it to my sister's. Pretty sure it's a knock off. It does have a sticker, and the sticker says "made in China". The box says "made in Korea". The box looks copied as well. The funny thing is, it gets really hot, and works really well so it's probably worth what I paid for it. I just wish they would put their own name on it and say something like "compares to Chi...".

No offense taken. I just thought if they knew upfront that I would be checking the product over good when it came in, that maybe they'd think twice before shipping a fake. Either way, I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

I ordered one yesterday, then today I emailed the seller to say if they were sending me a fake to not bother shipping because they'll just have to pay to have it shipped back. Here is the response I received from them: Thanks for contacting. We changed the provider recently. our product is 100% authentic. Your item has already been sent out. you'll receive it in 2-3days. Thanks again for your order. You can bet I will be checking the product against the list of "signs" posted above.

One more thing - the lady in customer service said they will offer this to everyone that calls, but they can only offer it on 1 item. So, if you ordered more than 1 of the ripstiks, they will only discount the 1.

They offered this to us as well. They will credit the difference once it ships. Everyone should call and keep escalating until you get this resolved.

We just got this same email today. We are definitely calling customer service, and we will keep climbing the ladder until someone honors this. I'm probably more confident than I oughta be. Will let you know how it goes.

When we got to WalMart this morning, we were handed a map with all the doorbusters marked. My sister went to get a bike for my son, and I went for the $59 TomTom. The map just said "GPS" so I went to get in the right line. Stood there over an hour before the sale started, then another 45 minutes or so to get to the site to store where the items were being held, only to be told the $59 Tom's were over by the groceries and they only had the higher ones back there! Of course by then they were gone! I have never been so mad at a store in my life (I know, irrational to be ticked at a whole store). I've decided it wasn't meant to be, I really couldn't afford to spend money on me right now anyway :). Happy Holidays everybody!
