I was so very excited to open my ss gifts today! She really went all out! I got a bag of candy, an adorable polka dot glass ornament with a T on it (my name is Tami), a cute little tote bag also with a T, a digital photo keychain, a coffee mug, a bath set (sponges, brush, etc), strawberry bubble bath, cherry blossom bath confetti, caramel macchiato cookie mix, a light up snowman ornament, 3 pair of fuzzy socks, true shimmer chap stick, a snowman on a horseshoe ornament, and even a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament for my grandbaby! I am so blessed. Thank you Thank you Thank you! I loved every bit of it!!!:)

15th out of 20 $198 laptops at WalMart in Norman, OK. One person behind me, so 4 more left. 8:30pm. Hope time moves quickly. Oh, and they've pulled all the lawn / camp chairs so people can't sit in them while they wait. Lol

I'm glad you're feeling better, and hope you're back to 100% very soon! I know (or I think I know) how much you love the Best Buy line camp and it breaks my heart for you that you're missing out on it.

I understand where you're coming from, because I worried about that too when my youngest got to that stage. But I just kept on doing things the way we always had and guess what - The magic is still there :). Also, you could find whole new blessings this year. Pick a card off an angel tree somewhere, and get your kiddos involved in making the magic happen. I know it is bittersweet letting them grow up though. Hugs to you Mama.

books are a good idea, as well as the Disney movies. But, what's going to make that baby happiest this Christmas? The boxes and wrapping paper! OMG, you are going to have SO much fun this year! My grandbaby is just 3 weeks old, so he will be 3.5 months old this Christmas. I was thinking about this just today. I think, this year, I will either just get him a little something and then open a savings account for him, or I will follow some of the advice here and give his mommy gift cards.

I hated it. The fact that I didn't get one of the big ticket items I wanted was no big deal, that's always part of it. What I hated was that my sister and I always hit several stores, then we go get the kids up and go eat breakfast. Well, after having to stay up at Wal Mart all night we were too tired to enjoy the day. We ended up going home and going to bed, then taking the kids for supper! :) As much as we love BF though, we're just not willing to give up Thanksgiving for it, so we're going to have to figure out how to do it all and still sleep!

I have been listening, but mostly in my office with my earbuds in so no one else knows . I love all Christmas songs, but a couple of my favorites are Skip Ewing's Christmas Carol (beautiful song about a little orphan girl named Carol who only wants someone to take her home for Christmas), and Ray Stevens' Snoopy vs. Red Baron (don't know why, I just LOVE that song).

Do you have an Academy in your area? Haven't seen the ad for them yet, but they usually have really good sales and they'll probably have one.

I swung by Best Buy on my way to work this morning. There are 2 people in line in Moore, OK. I'll drive back by this afternoon, and I'll also check out Norman, OK on my way home.
