I wouldn't have thought of this. It sounds like Walmart needs to amend their policy to state they will only match Amazon if Amazon is the seller.

Yes, you could go get the wristband, then go do other shopping and come back for the wristband item. Not all of the 1 hr guarantee items were on the wristband list, and not all of the wristband items were 1 hour guarantees. It worked wonderfully, because I was able to take advantage of the other sales instead of having to wait in 1 line for hours. The only downfall, and I don't know if this was everywhere or just my Walmart, was when you picked up the item you had to pay for it right there and they allowed you to check out everything you had. It made that line take a very long time. My sister and daughter in law went through the regular checkout lines and were finished way before I even got to the counter.

This is the last one I needed. Thanks so much!

Walmart will have it for $39.96. I don't think you'll find it cheaper anywhere (other than **hopefully** Amazon will match it). Target will have it for $59.99 with a $15 Target gift card.

Last year they had "Men's or Women's Under Armour Battle Hoodies" for $41.24. Boys or girls sizes were $33.75.

I'm not asking for anything this year but my youngest son is quite excited about whatever it is he's getting me. Everybody in the family knows what it is and apparently it's going to be awesome. I just can't imagine. This is his first year out of high school, and his first real job, so I've made the family promise not to let him spend too much .

I was able to buy some of the footie pajamas online last year. I don't know how many of the other smaller items they list online though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf2xLK91Yco&feature=player_embedded I have no idea how to post a video on here, but I love this year's Kohls commercial. I always like the CocaCola and Hallmark commercials too. Oh, and I know a lot of people hated it, but I laughed every time I saw the Kmart Jingle Bells commercial last year! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zw3eg28HqA0

Amazon, of course. And I'd love to see the ad for Academy Sports. I know last year Brad got the Academy ad, and then they made him take it down. I've been trying to watch closely so I don't miss it if that happens again (although, Brad did tell us how to get to the ad after it was removed - and I keep trying that too so I'm guessing he really hasn't gotten it this year).

Target to start their Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving Day!
Bopeep replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
If I were just starting, I don't think you could pay me enough to make me go to the stores if I didn't have to. But I've been BF shopping so long, and I'm desperately clinging to the traditions, even though it's not at all the same anymore. -
If we're thinking of the same thing, they had a sale the weekend before BF last year, matching other BF ads. The sale was supposed to start on the 22nd, but the prices all changed the afternoon of the 21st. I remember my cousin was very upset over the Skylanders because she was so sure they would run out of them and she couldn't get there on the 21st. I stopped on my way home from work and picked them up for her.

I'm impressed with the compromise.

I'm waiting on BF, or at least my BF plan, to shop for my SS. I do plan to go shopping for the OE this week, so she'll hopefully have her gift before she puts her tree up .

Have you ever checked out Oriental Trading Co? The quantities may make it not worth it, but you might take a look. http://www.orientaltrading.com/

Does anyone know if they'll be price matching Wal-Mart?
Bopeep replied to truexillusions's topic in 2014
They usually do, but it's via lightning deals and such so you really have to be paying attention or you might miss the deal you're hoping for. -
Yay!! Thank you so much!

Thank you for the info. Now that you say that, I believe he had said Chromecast was what his boss was telling him about. One of these days I'll learn to trust him, I guess .

Looks like Kohls will have Black Friday Deals ONLINE Starting Monday the 24th
Bopeep replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
I've never been a big Kohl's shopper, but I actually have a list from their ad this year. My question is, if we shop online, do we still get the $15 Kohls Cash for every $50 spent? -
Do any of these devices allow you to go straight to the web? My son watches a few shows on some anime (sp?) website. He doesn't like the delay in mirroring the computer to the television. Is there a small streaming device that would allow him to go to that website directly on the tv and watch his shows? Am I even making sense?

I understand camping out for a few days, if that's your thing. I can't see it ever being my thing. If I'm camping out, there's not going to be concrete under my tent, and there better be a lake withing walking distance, LOL. Because of that, I have to say my time is worth too much to me to spend 3 weeks in front of Best Buy.

I don't like the staggered sales. I understand why they do it, but y'all are right - who wants to go to Walmart 3 times? And, if you want a hot item on the 2nd or 3rd wave, chances are you have to be there a couple hours before the 1st wave. You miss all the sales you wanted to hit because you have to spend 16 hours at 1 store.

Thank you for adding my marker!

I suggested moving ours to Saturday this year, but that didn't work out because someone had to work (Of course, we have someones that have to work on Thanksgiving Day also and we didn't change it for them, but that's a different rant...). Thanksgiving is usually with my aunt and cousins, and my own kids are never there anyway. It would not bother me in the least to change the day we get together, I just love getting together. Christmas is my more immediate family. My mom, my sisters and I, and our kids. Since our kids are getting older and 2 of them are married with families of their own, we decided to start doing Christmas dinner on the Saturday after Christmas. That way the kids don't have to worry about getting from this dinner to that dinner, and what time is what, and having to hurt anyone's feelings by leaving early. We will also always know that our Christmas is happening on that day, so don't plan anything else and schedule off work in plenty of time. Of course, my sisters and I will probably still go to my mom's on Christmas Day, but our celebration will not be until Saturday. I completely agree that the day doesn't matter. It's the family and why you're getting together in the first place.

I just bought the train, and I'm so excited to put it around my tree this year. I really want the additional cars to go with it, especially this one! (sorry this picture is so big. I kept trying to resize it, but it still pastes here as a huge pic).
