  1. I've price matched there on BF for years without a problem- I've even got the BB and CC big ticket items, camcorders, cameras, etc. Our stores here don't pull items.. sometimes they run out early, but they don't pull them.
  2. My kids love the Wii Fit also! They also love Mario Kart- DD could beat us all before she turned 4. You can also buy some wii points and download old games, such as the Mario or Zelda games. Watch for a deal that has an extra controller or nunchuk bundled- that will run you about $50.
  3. This sale has always said that, and it's aggravated me for years. Glad you sent the email, it sounds very effective!
  4. no, they don't accept them... sure do wish they did!
  5. yeah, that's all I found, too. It's weird, I've seen the commercial two more times since I posted this. It may be a regional thing, but WM doesn't usually do that.
  6. The prices vary in WI and OK because of a state law that does not allow items to be sold below cost.
  7. Here's today's update: New toy savings join 100 toys for $10; low prices last through holiday season BENTONVILLE, Ark. (Nov. 2, 2009) – From licensed toys to active-play items, Walmart announced today 100 additional toy Rollbacks in its intent to help families save more this holiday season. This week in all stores and online at Walmart.com, the prices of more than 100 toys will be rolled back, many at an additional 20% and 30% savings, and will last through the Christmas shopping period. This new savings effort is in addition to Walmart’s 100 toys for $10 pricing previously announced, and brings to shoppers additional savings on many more of this season’s hottest toys. Moms typically begin making their purchases earlier in preparations for Christmas. According to Walmart customer research, more than 50 percent of moms aspire to have all their holiday shopping completed by Thanksgiving. In addition, half of these moms say they will purchase toys as part of their gifting plans.1 “We’ll offer aggressive pricing on toys this season to ensure moms can afford the gifts that help create a holiday their kids will remember,” said Laura Phillips, vice president of Toys, Walmart. “We believe moms are looking for toys that not only fulfill their children’s holiday wishes, but also create opportunities for role play, pretend and family togetherness.” Walmart’s latest toy rollbacks* include popular licensed toys, interactive toys, favorite games, active role play items and more. A few samples of these additional savings include: * Bakugan starter pack – $8 (33% savings) * Rocky the Robot** – $49 (17% savings) * Buzz Lightyear Talking Action Figure** – $29 (17% savings) * Star Wars Light Saber – $15 (25% savings) * Barbie “I Can Be” Playsets with Doll – $15 (25% savings) * Playskool Step Start Walk ‘N Ride or Ball Popper – $17 (32% savings) * FurReal Friends Lulu My Cuddlin’ Kitty – $38 (24% savings) * Air Hogs Laser Zero Gravity** - $29 (28% savings) * Fisher-Price Power Wheels Kawasaki KFX Ride-On – $178 (10% savings) * Jakks Sweet Oven Makeover** -- $24 (20% savings) * More games like Candyland, Yahtzee and Chutes & Ladders - $5 (37% savings) Many more toy savings will also be featured in Walmart’s Christmas Toy Guide which will mail to homes next week. In addition, Walmart.com is offering free shipping with Site to Store on thousands of online toys, including all bikes, scooters and ride-ons. More information on Walmart’s holiday savings are available online at www.walmart.com/christmasshop. These toy savings are not limited time offers, but will be offered through the Christmas holiday. In addition, Walmart’s price guarantee will match any local competitor’s advertised offer on the same toy product.***
  8. I've seen a commercial twice today for the new, improved 'price match promise' at Wal-Mart. It says that they will match any competitor's ad (excluding online) and you don't even have to bring in the ad. At a coupon class I gave the other day, a student said that their manager told her that there were no limits to the distance of PM'ing anymore, and it was going nationwide. I'm not sure how this works with any store with no ad. Our stores keep local competitors ads on hand, but it would be nearly impossible to keep them all. I'm sure they aren't going to take your word for it. I haven't receive a press release on it yet, and haven't been able to find one. We are near Bentonville, so I don't know if that has any effect on our promotions.
  9. #1. You were supposed to go after the bigger trunk, I picked up everything else! #2. Whew... I sure hope this new girdle lasts longer than the old one. I can just feel my gut resting on my legs... #3. Crap! Someone call the janitor... how long have these corpses been here? We really need to get these lines moving more quickly- this is the 3rd set we've found today!
  10. We're going through a similar issue with an air mattress. We paid $80 for it, went camping and woke up on the ground. They have a new return policy on air mattresses that says, new can be returned within 15 days for refund, used can be returned within 15 for exchange, and defective can be returned (with no date specified). They will not exchange it because they say they can only accept them for 15 days, even though it was obviously defective. The sign is bulleted, so each 'clause' has it's own line, and it does not specify a time limit on defective. What sucks is that I hate to return things, so the first two (different brands) that we bought are in the shed, so I'm out a lot of $$ on these. They said that too many people return them. Could it be that too many are defective?
  11. There's not a Dick's down here, and as far as Bass Pro, all of the stores will have the doorbuster deals, and this one is CRAZY from now until Christmas. I love the outlets at the Lake, but the only thing I have to compare them to is Branson, which I don't care for. Springfield is so crazy, you can only make it to one or two stores in 6 hours. Way too few stores for so many people. There's only one of each (except Walmart and K-Mart) for the million people in the city and outlying 'suburbs'.
  12. If you are planning on getting the television at Walmart, that is called price matching. Price adjusting is when they will refund a difference if a price is lower at their store (some stores will do this for competitors). If you plan to price match, the answer is yes. It is part of their corporate policy. However, each manager is able to discern the distance that they will price match. Walmart does not price adjust, but you do have the option to return and rebuy. Because this is not a normal policy, they will not employ it for BF only.
  13. probably a dumb question, but do you think that model will include a monitor? I know you can get a full box (with monitor) compaq at WM now for less than $400, I thought $350.
  14. Just a heads up.. we have that vizio tv and it has blown the circuit board 3 times. It is now out of warranty and is messing up again. We've had it 13 months. Buy the extended warranty if you purchase it- the guy said it was a problem with a shipment of circuit boards, but it must have been a lot of shipments.
  15. Weren't you guys in a drought until a few weeks ago? We hit the record wettest months every month this year. We've also had the coldest summer (and fall so far) on record. I figure we'll be blizzarded (yeah, I made that up) in until May. We're supposed to get another 6" of rain tomorrow night. Do you know how much snow that is if it were cold enough? Maybe prices willl get cheaper with water damage?
  16. I'm not 100% sure yet.. We thought about mixing it up this year. We normally head closer to Springfield, but I may head up to the Lake. Is there a lot in Columbia? We don't go there very often.
  17. What'd you have to go and do that for? Ha- me, too. I made it home for the cheerleading one.
  18. Brad, do you need help typing? I type 125 WPM... let me know if you need me to help!
  19. none of the descriptions look like they could be Rock Band... I have ideas, but a couple of them I have no clue what they will be.. Where's Jen!?!?
  20. I could only WISH that I could be your shopping buddy. My best friend recently moved from Hickory, but we want to move to there! If her house hadn't sold the day we decided we could buy it, we'd be there!
  21. After the first batch, you'll be throwing out pots and pans just to make room, lol. It's hard to keep freezer room for it and the tequila, but it's worth it!
  22. Very good advice! We have the same problems, and this year I am cutting back. Until this year, the kids average 50 wrapped gifts each. Many are still in their packages, opened up and broken, never played with, etc. It is such a waste of money when it comes time to go through and toss them, even though I never purchase anything for less than 75% off retail. My entire family is pigs... and they do not take care of their things. We will be buying fewer gifts and if I do cave and wish i had more closer to the date, I will pick up gift cards or something fun like that. We have even thought about heading to the beach the week before and skipping gifts at the house. It's a 10 hour drive to Gulf Shores, and the hubby has to take his vacation over Christmas (stupid company!). They get enough stuff from everyone else to more than make up for our lack of gifts.. and they will remember it. They don't even remember what Santa brought them last year.
  23. If you purchase $25 of Hasbro board games, you'll get Monopoly Deal free. The offer is detailed in the description of participating games.
  24. okay... my butt just grew reading these. So much for all of my work the past few weeks!!! I love them, and I will contribute very soon! Great idea!
  25. I'm not sure what they do.. ours closed over 10 years ago. I sure do miss that place!!!
