  1. I have a code that I won't be using. ***GONE***
  2. I found $7 in BBB tonight in my husband's car. ***GONE****
  3. DS (5) keeps asking for Thomas trains, so I told him to get his Thomas yearbook. I gave him a pencil and paper and told him to copy the names of the trains he wanted. He got tired after writing down 4 of them. lol Then I spelled the other 2 things he asked for (Train table, shake and go speedway) He never asks for much, and I encouraged him to ask for a train table since I had already bought it. We are going to take the list to Santa at the mall. For the few friends that have asked what they want, I went to Toysrus.com and he helped me pick out a few things that were under $15 for both him and his brother. I emailed it to my husband for the people at his work and to my friends that asked.
  4. Most of mine are in the garage with a comforter over them! lol A few electronic things are on top of my kitchen cabinet.
  5. Wow! I'm impressed! I have nothing wrapped! I haven't even bought wrapping paper yet...that's usually the last thing I get.
  6. My son is 5, and he is still big into trains and Thomas. He likes stuff from the Disney Cars movie too. Legos, hotwheels, and his v-smile.
  7. I bought a gift there today, and I got the card for $10 off of $30 or $15 off $50. It expires December 20th.
  8. I know the lowest pricest of the season sale in October is usually when I find the best deals. I hold off buying 'winter' clothes for it because it doesn't get too cold before then. I end up getting a lot of stuff for really good prices! I think they also have it in April?...sometime in the Spring. Last year, after BF, the toys were on 50% off sale at least 2 more times if I recall correctly. They may have been the Wednesday only or the Night Owls/Early Birds they run on Friday and Saturday. But I know they did it again on less busy days, and I hope they do it again this year! I thought the senior discount was 60. I always joke that my dad should go with me..my mom isn't old enough for it. lol
  9. That's the best price I've seen too. It's either just under $35 or $39.99 everywhere I see it. I have this on my list for ds, and I am waiting on a sale on it.
  10. I've seen them in gas stations too.

    Quick return guide

Do all Kohl's stores have undated returns? At my store, they will take back stuff no matter when you bought it as long as you have the receipt. I was so surprised to hear that. I've found clothes the kids never wore that I bought on clearance, and they've always taken them back. Hecht's used to be a year, but they're gone now. I don't know any other store that is so liberal with the time limit...there is none! And I've never had to show my DL with a receipt either.
  12. My son (then 4) saw something last year that was in the trunk in the bag when I went to get the stroller out. It wasn't really his fault...the bag had shifted in the trunk and it started to come out. He couldn't see exactly what it was, but he saw the Thomas and Friends logo. He didn't realize it was for Christmas, and he wanted what was in that bag so bad! I told him I bought it for a present for one of his friends. It was supposed to be from Santa, but it ended up being from us in order to keep him from finding out about Santa. I'd make the Vsmile from you, or make up a story that Santa brought it early because his sleigh is just so packed on Christmas Eve. I tell my son all the time that I saw Santa while I was out or that an elf stopped by while he was at school to check up on him and make sure he was being good. lol
  13. I had a plan for Xmas gifts and a list....ds #1 is 5 years, ds#2 is 15 months. They were getting the same # of presents, not the same dollar amount. I was spending almost twice the amount on the oldest. That Thomas stuff is pricey, even though I got it all on sale! But, it is so much easier to shop for my older son. I know exactly what he likes, plus I know the toys will be passed down to his little brother. I am not having any more babies...so I don't want a ton of baby stuff. Plus, we have lots of baby toys already. I keep seeing things I know my oldest son will love. And I now I feel like I have to buy the baby more items. My husband keeps telling me, "He is a baby; he does not know or care. He is going to love the wrapping paper more than anything." I wish I could just let it go and know it will be alright. I know that 20 years from now my little guy is not going to say, "But you always bought my brother more than me!"
  14. They have the Thomas Scootin' Sounds Train Engine on sale for $29.99, regularly $39.99. I haven't seen it on sale in a long time, and it's $38.xx at Walmart, Target, etc. I knew from when I was in there on BF, they only had 3 out. I went over yesterday morning and they were down to just 2. I got one for little ds. I looked around the rest of the store but didn't find anything else. I used my $15 in GC ($5 from the Cars movie pre-order and $10 from the GC for spending over $75 on a train table.) I took it home for $16.74 including tax. I was really happy!
  15. Our Walmart is a 24hr super center, and I got there at 4:15am on BF. The parking lot was less full than it is during the day! I rarely go to WM during the day because I hate having to search for a parking spot. I fully expected to have to park in the overflow lot. Even when I came out a little after 5, there were still spots in the regular lot.

    Story on WM

I have read articles before about the George brand has not taken off like they had hoped. These items are more expensive. Here is my thing about buying clothes at Walmart...I could buy Faded Glory jeans for my son at Walmart. They will cost me around $9.xx. Or I can wait and buy Kohl's brand (Sonoma) jeans when they go on sale for $8.99. I can buy the Carter's Child of Mine brand stuff at Walmart, or wait until Kohl's has a 40% off sale on regular Carter's and pay about the same price. I will always chose the clothes at Kohl's because I know from experience that they will last longer, the brand names are better, and I know Kohl's will let me return them indefinitely incase they never get worn. And I'm really not a brand name snob...my sons do have a few items from Walmart that were cute and looked well made. They also have tons of clothes from Target because their stuff is just less generic looking. I wouldn't buy my son a winter coat from Walmart because I didn't want him to have the same one as several other kids in his class. I waited for a good sale at Old Navy and paid about the same price for a nice one.
  17. Our Walmart already marked down the Dora and SpongeBob tv's to $60. There are still a few Dora ones left now.
  18. I saw that in the ad this morning! I was so excited about it. Then, I went to Kmart for something else in the ad and realized they only have 3 different titles in stock, and 2 are for "girl" games. But, there is another Kmart about 20 miles away that is actually neat and well-stocked...I think I will go to that one instead.
  19. I can't believe they would pull the items! I didn't look around long enough at our Walmart to see if they did anything similar. I guess since Target's sale is technically a 2-day sale, I could check tomorrow on some things. I only wanted to PM a Vsmile cartridge to Target's ad, and I had no problems with that. I don't know if our Target put them out just for today, but the one I wanted was not in stock on Wednesday night, and I wasn't going to go through all that for one thing they might not have! The Target is next to Kohl's and that parking lot was crazy at 5:30! I asked someone in toys, and they said yes they would PM as long as I had the ad. I put it right on top of my stuff and told the cashier "They said you would price match this Target ad." And that was it...no hassle even because Target wasn't even opened yet. Maybe I should try PMing other days of the year! lol

    Wal Mart

Our store made an annoucement reminding people that LAW has been discontinued right before 5am.
  21. The greeter gave me a map with all the ad items numbered, and then there were letters s1, s2,..s8 on it. Then, there on the key, s1 through s8 were listed with a blank line for what they were. I have no idea how people found out which items were at which spot because I wasn't interested in any of them. Around 4:45, an employee came around to those waiting at pallets, and gave us the flier for the secret items. We all know there were more than 8, and the flier wasn't numbered or anything. A lot of the customers around me seemed to know nothing about there even being any secret items. They had heard of the TV through the commercials for it, but didn't know about the other stuff. I think Walmart really dropped the ball on marketing this year.
  22. I went to the Rockvale Outlets in Lancaster, PA. The road was all backed up because the Tangier outlets were opened too, and I had to pass them first. There was a line of at least 200 people to get into the Pottery Barn. Took forever to check out at KB Toys, and then I just looked around at some stores and didn't buy anything else. I had a hard time finding a parking place, but finally found the bus parking...walked through the pass, and I was right at KB...so that worked out.
  23. Walmart was good here. I went in at 4:15, examined my map and then at 4:30 was by what I wanted most. It was chaotic when they opened the plastic, but I got my stuff, went and got the toys I wanted and checked right out. They had almost every register opened, and I didn't have to wait. Toys R US was awful! They had all the registers opened, but the line was not moving. After 30 minutes, I just left. I'm sure I'll find what I had on sale again.
  24. I got mine around 12:30 am... The delivery man was just leaving the gas station as I pulled up. Ads for about every store around that I can think of...we don't get a Best Buy one because there's none in town. Our paper is the York Daily Record.
  25. Fed Ex and UPS rent vans around here during the Holiday season because they don't have enough trucks to keep up with all the extra packages. Maybe the guy forgot the package or something and was told he had to deliver it tonight and he was just mad at that. I hope he gets in trouble and that your PS2 is ok, or that it is promptly replaced.
