  1. I picked up the giftcards for ds's teacher, assistant and bus drivers this morning. That means I am done! Well, except batteries...don't forget the batteries! I'm halfway done wrapping now.
  2. My dad bought them a few years ago and put them on almost everything. Drove my mom crazy! The first time my ds stayed for the weekend, they kept going on and off, so my dad took them all off lol
  3. Yeah, my husband doesn't know anything except the 3 things my oldest ds asked Santa for. I have wrapped a whole 6 presents now. I must have at least 30 to go. I am about to head to my super secret wrapping area now! lol
  4. My dh manages a dealership in that area...he said they don't have them there. But people get them at the flower shop. He also said a Lexus dealership might have them.
  5. Don't you also get a free snowman ornament if you buy 2? We bought ours at Kohl's this year...I always get DS the new Thomas the Tank one and I couldn't find it anywhere else. I hope this works: http://f.chtah.com/i/5/474648236/1220_non_coup.gif
  6. I hope it arrives on time! I have 4 packages that I am stressing about still out there somewhere. Maybe today will be our lucky day!!!
  7. I picked up two this morning at Walmart for $7.59 each. They are for gifts...I should have bought one for myself...it's addicting!
  8. http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/r/regf2?aid=474648236&n=301&MEMBER_ID=&CNSMR_ID= Good at Hallmark Gold Crown stores. Can be combined with other offers and used on sale merchandise.
  9. The toy associate at my Walmart told me early last week that they had found one TMX Elmo from a layaway that was cancelled, so they've already put their stuff back.
  10. Thanks :) I've never not been able to get something I really wanted to get before at a store, so I was a bit stressed out. I did also give up on the WWE TRU Exclusive cell cage though after they cancelled my order twice. I figured my nephew can get it for his birthday in February. I've been checking the tracking every hour to see where the zebra is being shipped from, and it finally tells me...Allentown, PA. Less than 100 miles away! I don't have a delivery date, but I'm almost positive it will make it here within the next 3 days. Maybe today...
  11. oh LOL That is too cute! Thanks for sharing! My 5-year-old keeps telling his little brother (16-months-old) that he is on the naughty list. Maybe I can get my oldest ds to help me fill it out and get the baby on the nice list!
  12. Good luck! I bought mine from buy.com the other day. It was $47.04 shipped after I added some $2.99 spoons to make it go over $50 so I could get $20 off. But they are out of stock now. TRU has it $44.99, shipping makes it $60.03 and with Google Checkout you can take $10.00 off. But I don't think you'll get it in time for Christmas, if that's what you need.
  13. The zebra shipped today! So I think it will be here in time...it's coming DHL! I am so happy! I had called Walmart's and Kmart's out of major areas, and they didn't have it either. I think KB Toys gets overlooked for things sometimes, and I was able to find tons of the Cars diecast there. Sure, they were 80 cents a piece more than Walmart, but they were actually on the shelf! My nephew's birthday is January 9th, and I always buy his birthday stuff when I am Christmas shopping because many years ago when he was 3, I went out in January, and the shelves were bare of toys. I know so many people that just go out and grab whatever they see. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't do it that way anymore. I've found if I don't research the toys a little, I end up with stuff that never gets played with or breaks within a month.
  14. I don't know how good they are or anything, but Walmart always has computers for $498.00. I can't put a link to the exact page for some reason, but just search for 'desktop', and they are there.
  15. Wow! How thoughtful! Something baked sounds good to me! We moved in 3 months ago, and I only know my next door neighbor by name. She is really into gardening and told me that she is going to bring me a plant in the Spring. lol

  17. I don't think they are going to have them until Wednesday...it's in their new ad. http://www.biglots.com/Specials/WeeklyAd.aspx?sid=1016&style=f
  18. With all my good intentions on getting it done, I haven't wrapped a one. I plan to start tonight!
  19. I wish they would do that here! I have exchanged 3 of the 4 titles I bought at Kmart on the B1G1F fiasco, but I still have one left that I don't want and haven't had any luck finding an appropriate title at Kmart in over a week. At $13, I'd just buy a new one at Walmart and return the other one for $10.
  20. The Wal-Mart's around here put up those "You save on their sale price" tags and marked them down to $16.14 this week.
  21. I am not talking about the "hot" toys like TMX Elmo, Wii and PS3. I am talking about normal everyday toys that just aren't there. I am not sure if my perception is off because I am always done shopping around the beginning of December. Just this year, I had to push things up a bit because we just bought a house, and I refuse to use plastic or savings for Christmas. I waited on buying some things until December 15th (payday) because I had seen them everywhere and figured they'd still be there. Ordinary toys that were everywhere a few weeks ago are very hard to find now, IMO. I gave up on the Bounce and Spin Zebra and just bought it from buy.com. But I know even 2 weeks ago, they were everywhere. This past weekend, I called about 40 stores looking for it between Harrisburg and Baltimore. I also had a hard time finding the Shake N Go Speedway, which I know for a fact was out last Christmas. I finally had a TRU manager tell me Saturday night that he had them and was holding them for the sale on Sunday. I told him I didn't care about the $5 off at this point because my son is 5 and asked Santa for it! He told me to go back yesterday morning, which I did. Even then, I had to find him and he got them out of the back for me. He only had one box of 3 which is why he was holding them. I just wondered if it's always like this or if this is just a year where production isn't meeting demand. Any thoughts? I've never in my life called that many stores looking for something and came up empty handed! Everywhere I go, there are people asking employees for toys that are OOS. Of course, I have a feeling I will walk into Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve and they will have a stack of them...lol
  22. High 45, 10% chance of rain. A few days ago, it said a 60% chance of rain. I'd prefer to have snow for Santa, but I certainly don't want rain instead!
  23. I like the idea of putting a note about the gift in a box and putting the bike in the garage/outside. DS is getting a train table this year, and I don't want to put it together downstairs by the tree and then have to get it upstairs to his room later. There is a storage room off of his closet, and I plan to put it together in there. He never goes in there because it is cold, but I'll put a blanket over it. I am going to take a picture of it and put it in a Christmas card under the tree and then he can go find it.
  24. I'm glad to see you said buy.com has fast shipping. I had no experience with them until a few hours ago. I finally decided I wasn't going to find a particular toy in a store by Christmas. I am kicking myself for not buying it last month! Even online was slim pickings to find it in stock. Buy.com said if you ordered by 12/16, it will be here for Christmas. It was already 12/17 for me, but I think they meant California time. I really hope it comes in time! I like that I could find the order on their site even though I used google checkout. The order I did for TRU never showed up on their website although they emailed me an order number and links...that did not work.
  25. The TRU in Camp Hill had the Thomas the Tank aquadoodle tonight...at least 6 of them on the shelf. They also had a line of about 12 people outside waiting on something...maybe the Wii? I didn't even think to ask. lol
