I think something is wrong with their site. I typed in Thomas on the search. It says there are 107 items, but no matter what page I go to in the listings, only the same few items keep showing up. I hope they fix it and put my wishlist back, but I don't trust them.

OMG I had all this stuff saved on my wishlist on their site. I had the things I still need to get for my boys, gift ideas for them for people who ask, a few things I might want if they ever come back in stock and the list of wrestlers my nephew wants. I signed in to check on something on the wishlist and it is gone! It says there are no items on my wishlist! I am so mad...I can't remember everything I had on there. why? why? why? I wish I had written it down somewhere, but I figured it was safe on their site. Most of the stuff was out of stock, but a few things were still available yesterday when I looked.

If you have Kohl's near you, they just had 25% off Leapfrog stuff...maybe they will do it again!

Oh, yeah, I always threaten to call Santa on his cell phone. lol Elves come to visit and check on his behavior while he is at school to check up on him. And, sometimes when he wants me to get off the computer so he can use it, I tell him that I am emailing Santa his behavior chart, and then he magically stops asking to use the computer. My son told me this morning he wants to go to the North Pole on vacation next summer so he can see what Santa does all year long! yikes! He also wanted to leave a gas can outside for Santa's sleigh. I told him it didn't run on gas; that it ran on 'reindeer power.' So now I have to figure out what we can leave outside for the reindeer to eat. Maybe nuts and birdseed?

I don't have any girls, so Bratz aren't an issue here. I probably would not buy them though for younger girls. We don't buy toy guns or swords either, but my son is allowed to play with them if he is at a house where they are. That's probably what I'd do with the dolls too, like EmConMom was saying. To the OP, if you are okay with them, that is all that matters. It is a much more sticky situation when someone gets your child a present that you do not approve of and you have to figure out to keep everyone happy with that.

My son (a train fanatic) wants the one from Boscov's...he saw it at the store here. I think it looks great. But, we already have the Thomas the Tank Engine Around the Tree set and are adding the new Holiday Tunnel this year.

I'm with you droolbug. I *know the baby could care less, but my oldest son is already trying to make a list for his little brother to tell Santa for when we go to see him. He got excited because it sounded like little ds said "car" yesterday, so he thinks his brother will be asking Santa for cars. Plus, I think it's fun to get new stuff for him. We didn't get the little one too much for his birthday as both their birthdays are in August and they had a big joint party and then school was starting for the oldest one....I felt like I gypped him, and yes, he really didn't care. lol He did get awesome gifts from our friends that he plays with everyday.

lol @ the couch. We just got it a few months ago at this place called Sofa Selections. In our old house, we couldn't fit a full sized couch, so we never bought one. We bought a blue loveseat, recliner and chair. The loveseat broke while we were moving. So, we bought that couch because it matches the blue of the chair and recliner perfectly. My husband thinks the couch is ugly; my friend says it looks like an old lady's couch, but I love it!

Getting the boys' Christmas pictures taken today. Putting up the rest of the lights later too. Getting the tree on Thursday. I have more shopping to do, but I am pretty much off for now until payday on the 15th. I don't have too much more to get though. Have to dig out more decorations too. I am still missing stuff.

I feel weird when I buy a gift card for someone, but I have in the past when I was really lost as to what to get. I went to a baby shower a few months ago where the mom-to-be didn't want to know the gender and had already had a child. I decided a gift card (to Walmart) was the best thing in that case because she had just mentioned wanting diapers and some white t-shirts, and I figured some of the other guests would cover that. My son's teacher and aide are each getting a gift card too because while I want to get them something from my son, I do not know what they like enough to get an actual gift. Even if it seems impersonal, for some people it is the best option. I'd rather people get a gift they can use and enjoy. If they have to do the shopping themselves for that to happen, that's fine by me. I personally love gift cards. I think those ones that can be used at any store in a mall are great! I never thought to look at the back of them when I buy them, so I will be sure to check that out next time. Thanks to the OP for letting us know!

Awesome! I love it! It's really great. I love snowmen too, and I started with them because I like to leave some of the stuff up for a while and I don't want to be too weird with Santas out in February. I am glad to see you have things on top of the kitchen cabinets. :) That's my plan for a lot of my breakables this year. Little DS is just too much into stuff for them to go down this year, and we still need new furniture for the living room, so I am short on higher places to put things. I used to always be able to put some of them in the windows before I had kids! Now I have metal tins and stuffed animals in the windows.

I'm getting there. I had a bit of a slow start on shopping and decorating this year, but it's been coming along the last week or so. We finally got lights up on the outside of the house today, and we are getting the tree on Thursday. I can't wait to see my oldest son's reaction when Santa brings him exactly what he asked for, and I think the little one will get through opening presents without falling asleep like last year (he was 4 months old) lol I've been listening to the Christmas station on the radio too, and all I need now is some snow! It finally got cold here, but no snow in the near future.

Your kids are just precious, and I love the house. I think I have the same couch. Is it blue and green plaid? I couldn't tell the color too well from the pic.

I love it!!! I think it is awesome idea! I always tell my 5 yo ds that elves stopped by while he was at school or in bed, etc. I will mention something 'they' said about something he did recently, and his eyes get so big because he thinks they really are watching him. Then, he's really good for the next few days because 'Santa is watching'. lol I threaten to call Santa on 'his cell' all the time too. I think I have more fun with it then ds does.

That stinks. Ours marked them down to $60 on the Sunday after BF and they finally got rid of them all.

That stinks. My dh did a similar thing for Father's Day. He went out and bought himself the Band of Brothers DVD set while I was bidding on one on ebay. Luckily, I got outbid at the last minute, so we didn't end up with 2. But I was so irritated about it. My dh never buys himself anything! He can't even find the stores in town except Home Depot and Walmart, and we've lived here 2 years. I still think he knew and did it on purpose. He's used my eBay account to bid on stuff before and then when I see the winning notice from eBay in my inbox and ask him, he's like "Oh yeah, pay for that, please."

My husband changed some light bulbs up on the chandelier in the foyer while he was up on the landing with the ladder. But he knew about them...I've been after him to change them for 2 months. I also have found some dog hair (leftover from the previous owners) while cleaning to put up decorations that I somehow missed when I scrubbed this place down when we bought it...2 months ago. So, I've been cleaning that up, but nothing too major. Sorry about your carpet, but I bet it looks really nice now!

Ok, my nephew finally gave me his list. It's a bunch of WWE wrestlers and this cage thing. I do not know anything about wrestling, so I've never looked for this stuff in the stores. Who has the best prices? Who all carries it? I found some on the TRU website, but I'm thinking somewhere is less expensive. Any sales? TIA

It was $33.57 tonight at Kohl's with the 40% off and the additional 20% off toys. That runs through noon tomorrow. The regular price at Kohl's is $69.99, so a straight 50% only makes it $35. It is $34.97 at the Walmart store here. (this is on DS's list...I'd like to get it for $30 too lol)
